DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!!! BUYER BEWARE. THESE REVIEWS ARE NOT ALL REAL - I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE WHO USED THIS MOVER AND WERE BURNED. AFTER THEY SHOWED UP THREE HOURS LATE WITH ONLY A 15 MINUTE NOTICE, MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY COULD NOT WAIT T HELP ME AND HAD TO LEAVE, SO THIS LEFT ME WITH MOVERS STUMBLING AROUND IN THE EVENING HOURS IN THE DARK. MOVERS PICKED UP MY DRESSER BY THE KNOBS AND BENT THEM, STACKED MY ARTWORK ON A SHOPPING CART UNWRAPPED DAMAGING ALL THE FRAMES COSTING ALMOST $1,000 TO REPAIR, LOST MY STEP STOOL, DAMAGED A CRYSTAL LAMP EST $250,AND A FEW OTHER MINOR ITEMS. WHEN I DISCUSSED WITH THE MOVING COMPANY, THEY DISMISSED EVERYTHING AND TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY. DO NOT USE THIS MOVER OR YOU WILL LEARN THE HARD WAY WHEN YOUR ITEMS ARE LOST AND DAMAGED. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!!!!!!!!! INCLUDING THAT THIS JERK SHOWS UP ON TIME!!!!!!!!

Their prices are good. They have a minimum charge and then, they charge by hour. It was very reasonable. They were able to do it when we wanted it done. They did a good job. They were on time and were very professional. They wrapped the furniture, which was nice. They tried to protect the furniture. They watch their time. They said they would try their best to finish within two hours.

Outstanding, brain, Dave, Ken did on outstanding job, very efficient second time. We have J & P highly recommend there.

Did not use this company for the move.

Their moving truck hit and damaged my fence in JANUARY and after a million phone calls to Bonnie, I still do not have it repaired. And the driver saw the damage with his own eyes immediately after it happened! I've been given the run around over and over and was finally promised it would be taken care of last week (JUNE), and after many more calls since then, I still have not heard from Bonnie. Prior to looking on Angie's List, I asked another employee for the owner's/supervisor's name to speak with them, and I was told they were not able to give me that information. It seems very shady that they would not provide who is ultimately responsible for the company.

Great, on time, priced fairly and moved very fast.

Everything went extremely well. We got the team of Ken, Brian, Justin, and Tyler. And, we were very lucky to get them. We needed to get out of the apartment by 10:00 am, because the closing was beginning at 9am. I explained this to them and at first they were skeptical, but they focused and we were out by 10:30am! They were all very friendly and easy to chat with, and very professional. And, everything arrived and was put into place perfectly at our new home. We couldn't have been happier with the moving team we had.

Good, guys were really nice; they were careful with our new floors; price was good, did not charge extra for Saturday move.

Great. The movers showed up and were extremely courteous. They asked where every piece of furniture went and were very careful in that they did not scratch anything. My wife and I would recommend their services to any family and friends in the area

Move only large heavy pieces from one house to another. They argued day of move about moving certain pcs and some pcs were scratched. Wanted me to sign a waiver to say it wasnt heir fault if they broke things. I refused, he was crabby rest of day.

I hate moving and in the past just the thought of it caused me tons of stress. But I've discovered that once J & P takes over you can just relax. I first used them 16 years ago when I moved from the city out to the western suburbs and I was amazed at how well everything went. I'd put off moving for a LONG time just because I didn't want to deal with it...I have a ton of books and other heavy things. When moving day finally came I still remember thinking "I was worried about this???" They made it so easy! One piece of furniture was slightly damaged but they took ownership of it and had it repaired better than new. My three dealings with them since that time have all been just as positive. The most challenging job I gave them was a small one: moving an expensive piano purchased from a private party that had to be brought up from the seller's basement. There quite literally was a hair's clearance when coming up the stairs and then (of course) an impossibly tight turn. But with muscle, a positive attitude and patience they got the piano up and out and delivered it without a scratch. My most recent big move with them was just as great. Really, the only stress comes when you and your family are deciding what you actually still need and what you don't. The day of the move is really no big deal when you're dealing with experienced pros of this caliber. If I'd had a little more time i would have made a spa day of it with my wife as I know my possessions are in such good hands. In short: I love J & P Moving! They're a local, family owned company with longtime employees that really care. Highly recommended!
