Guys were super nice - very courteous. Late getting to me because of first job - unavoidable.

Making the arrangements for the quote and the time of the move went very well. The team of two that was sent to do the move was on time and ready to go. The move itself went without any complication and done quicker than originally anticipated. The two gentlemen that were sent to do the move were professional and courteous. It went better than we expected and we will use them again.

Great - everything was placed well. Very helpful.

They provided a 4 man team on 10 days notice and did a great job.

Brian, James and John arrived promptly with the truck, introduced themselves and got right to work. Since it was a partial move and not everything was being relocated, they took care to ask me as they went room to room if they got everything I needed to take. I appreciated being asked because I definitely would have missed some things if they hadn't made sure I double-checked. The team was focused but friendly and made quick work of the move. Once we arrived at the new house, they were just as efficient moving everything in. I stood at the door and directed where each box or piece of furniture should go and it was over before I knew it. I would definitely hire J&P Moving if ever need to move again.

Outstanding office staff was helpful accommodating several schedule changes. The moving crew was careful, responsive to requests, punctual, professional, & very friendly.

Terrific. This is the second time we have used J & P this summer. They moved us before we staged our house to sell and they did a terrific job then so there was no question that we would hire them again when we sold our house. We are closing on our house next week so they moved everything else today. The guys are polite and respectful. They are careful and FAST. They have a great attitude and even helped with some extras. I would not consider using anyone else. This is a great company.

The movers that came to move my mom were amazing. They were professional, efficient and very sensitive to my mother's needs. They made what could have been a stressful situation (my father died in December and my mother was leaving the home she shared with him for 40+ years) very easy and manageable. My mother could not have been more pleased! Thank you!

The 3 man crew arrived on time and loaded the truck in less than 2 hours. The drive was about 20 minutes and then they unloaded the truck in about an hour. It was about 3 hours end to end.

In the initial agreement with Bonnie I was clearly told the estimate was firm & that this co did not offer the option of choosing to wait for an estimate based on weight. I questioned this regarding items she did not list in packing but was told this was a firm estimate with only exclusions being a shuttle fee & added value insurance coverage, both of which I knew would be needed. Now that the move is complete, they are claiming I owe an additional $200+ for items which were never invoiced to me. I have no idea what this fee refers to but as I told her, the initial fee was declared firm, and I would not have chosen a company who could add on fees at will when the move was complete. The demeanor of the move was horrendous. On moving day the head guy got extremely angry because they forgot to bring the large size boxes for final packing. He turned to me and yelled that it was my fault for having so many demands! As I told him, I made requests of Bonnie, not demands & it was his responsibility to bring boxes. Second incident with this man occurred on the move-in day in MA. He had called to move up the time so I arrived early awaiting him at noon. When he was an hour late & I called him to inquire, he yelled that they could not find a shuttle or a place to park their van. When I asked if that would change the move-in day, he slammed the phone down on me; they did not arrive until the next day. Thirdly, when they arrived to move my furniture in, he declared that they would not be moving in a major piece of my furniture, my entertainment center, because they feared dropping it off the outdoor steps. When I suggested taking it apart, he said it would take too much time. I later learned that most MA companies prepare for these kinds of events by offering to use hoisting equipment but this company had no such intent. I ended up having to put the piece in storage and not be able to have it in my home. This interaction too, was a yelling experience, and the only way it got resolved was through the efforts of the 3rd mover whom they had picked up along the way, who was from CT and who had a much more polite way of handling matters. Packing was extremely disappointing in that items were packed haphazardly with lids in one box, containers in the other. Many items got sent to my storage unit without my permission so that I have ended up having to re-buy items. They neglected to pick up the rug which was scheduled to be picked up along the way as they dropped off the piano at my son's residence, so that I incurred an additional cost to hire someone to do this after the move. Damages incurred were as follows: Dining chairs torn on corners Glass table top scratched Wooden bed leg split Original wall sculpture broken Large framed print significantly damaged, glass broken, mat damaged 2 floor lamps no longer usable, due to threads being stripped on one and another failing to function. Shelf decor broken While I realize that these damages are limited compared to all the glass items I own, the problem occurred afterwards. When I asked for claim forms for these items I was told I would not be given claim forms until I paid this newly created balance due of $200+ I said I would not be paying that after already having paid approx. $9000, as the original estimate was supposed to be firm. Now nearly 8 wks later I have received a letter from this company offering me $375 to let this claim go. As I told him them the damaged items would come to well over $1000 but I was willing to settle for $600, the price of the added-value insurance policy which I purchased to avoid having to deal with the claim process. Since I refused the $375, I have not heard back from this company despite my letting them know that the end of July was my deadline. I have now resorted to filing a claim with the BBB got get this matter settled.-------- UPDATE-- BBB was unable to resolve this problem because Peter of J&P Movers insists I pay him more funds which were not in the contract before he will allow me to file claims for damaged items. Because this job was handled so unprofessionally and because I cannot file a claim despite the $585 insurance policy I purchased through his co., I must rate this mover F .

They were fantastic. They did a really good job. They charged about $375, which was a good bid for a piano mover. They were really nice. I gave them very little time. I was trying not to have to bring the piano to where I lived because I didn't have any room for it. I told them, "I'll let you know." Each day I tried to figure out another alternative. I think I called them on a Tuesday or Wednesday. When I called them, I said, "Can you still come on Friday?" They said, "Oh, yeah. We're planning to come." They came and they were just so careful. They put it really nicely, exactly where I wanted them to. They didn't bang the walls. Their price was really the best.

Ken, Joe, and James did a fantastic job. They were friendly and happy guys who worked hard! The estimate was higher than the actual cost. This was my second move this year and I would definitely recommend this company to friends.

we had a large move and j&p was incredible. When they realized the semi truck could not come on our city street they quickly rectified the problem and Bonnie had multiple trucks come out then move into a semi later on their dime. Our moving guys were the best ever . A big and stressful interstate move and they were fantastic. Moving to our permanent residence in Minnesota and I realized I never entered a review. Nicest crew ever and I have moved all over the world.!

GREAT experience. The people I spoke to in the office were very nice and accommodating. The three guys that showed up were fantastic. Many of my belongings were going into storage for about a month so they padded all the furniture with paper, cloths, and lots, and lots of shrink wrap. I have no fear that everything will be just fine when it's delivered. The guys were punctual, polite, and very helpful. Thanks!

The movers Ken , Joe, and Anthony were the best movers I have ever had. They were polite, hard working, and careful with all my furniture. They were truly the most professional moving team.

I started with Bonnie. She was great in providing an estimate. She was even able to help me when there was a scheduling issue with my building. The guys arrived early and got to work right away. They ensured all of my stuff was covered and shrink wrapped.

The company and the moving guys were great from start to finish. They were right on time, polite, and careful. Patti in the office was very easy to work with also. When our house sells, we will have to move all of the remaining furniture. We will only consider J & B based on the experience we had with them. Despite construction on the route, they came in under the estimate. We were amazed. This was the best experience we have ever had with movers.
