We contacted the owner Frank in November 2009 for an estimate on replacing our driveway. He came out within a day, took pictures of our driveway, and shortly after that e-mailed us a computer generated picture of what the driveway would look like, plus the estimate. We had a few questions about the job, and he quickly responded with answers. He recommended removing all the surface that was there as the previous owners merely poured asphalt on top of concrete, and repeated the process over the years so the driveway slanted towards the garage. Other companies we had out said the same thing so we knew Frank was right on. The weather changed so we went on Frank's spring schedule. Early in May we contacted Frank about potential dates, and he said he could fit us in within days. We quickly got the permit, and Frank's team came out and completed the driveway within two days. He asked us about how we wanted the driveway to curve, and how far we wanted the driveway from our fence before he started. You would never know the crew ever showed up because all material was taken away quickly. Of course, it's obvious the crew was here because the driveway looks amazing. It is neat and has added curb appeal to our home. We will hire Frank again to seal the driveway later this summer.

They were very professional. They did very neat work. They took the time to clean up after themselves. I have already recommended them to other people. Their prices were competitive.

Frank was very responsive during the estimate/bid phase. The quote included photos of the driveway and a photoshopped version showing how it would look when completed. The first quote was for a "recap" vs. full replacement - though I'd ask for the full replacement, and when I spoke with him he said that was really the better option - not sure if he was just trying to save me money, or if we miscommunicated on what I wanted, but in any case he came right back with a quote on full replacement. The price quote was about 20% lower than the quote from another contractor with similar AL ratings. They came on schedule and completed the job exactly as specified, with a large crew and plenty of equipment. They were very careful not to damage anything - took specific measures to protect the siding on the garage, the adjacent gardens, even the shoulders of the street where they parked their trucks. No surprises on the final bill, it was exactly as estimated.

From beginning to end, International Paving was a pleasure to work with. We contacted 5 paving companies. Of the 5, two made appointments and did not show up. The other two, were highly recommended on Angies List. International Paving did not have as many reports. I contacted International Paving via email. They responded promptly, and asked about the scope of work, and additional information. They took photos of our existing driveway, and gave us a typed proposal, with the work we asked for, as well as recommendations of other work, and pictures with the proposed work photoshopped in. It was really impressive. As mentioned earlier, I did have two quotes from other companies. I mentioned this to Frank via email, and he was willing to meet my price quote from another company. The work began on a Monday. They did the tearout in a day. Very neat work. Very courteous to the neighbors, and respectful of their property line. We had a one day layoff, so I could have a plumbing cleanout installed, and they were willing to work with me regarding timing of this also. The paving took one day. It was completely professional, all the way through. My village inspector commented on the thinkness of the driveway and the work done, and my neighbor who works construction, also said it is a top notch job. For me, one of the most impressive things, is that Frank Henandez, who is the VP of the company, was on site working with the guys. Even more impressive, he did the hardest parts of the job. Like digging up the side of the garage by hand. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The quality of work was excellent and the work was preformed in a timely manner. They even came out twice to re-stripe the parking lot when there were issues with the size of the parking spaces. We were very satisfied with their work. However, they did not come out in the fall to seal the parking lot as promised. We were told that this was part of the quote. We left messages on three occasions to try and schedule a time for them to come out and seal the parking lot, but our calls went unanswered.

They arrived promptly at 7:00 a.m. as scheduled and had the entire project completed pretty close to 3:00 p.m. They could not paint the yellow lines because it had started to rain so they came back the next afternoon to take care of that. We only had to keep our cars of the lot for two days.

I contracted with International to replace my driveway in March of 2008. Because of my own procrastination in getting the permit, the work did not get performed until August. In the interim, their costs went up exponentially because of the rise in oil prices. They urged me to get the work done before they had to raise the price, but in the end, I delayed longer than I should have. They gave me the option of backing out of the original contract or signing a new one with an 11% price increase. Because it had been my own fault, I had them do the work. They came when they said they would, did the work quickly, caused no damage to anything nearby, and left me with a beautiful new driveway.

The job went well. However, there was a price increase from the supplier due to the rapid rise in oil prices.

Quick response to my request for an estimate. Great follow through at all points in the project. Offered money off the original bid if I would do the job on a specific date as they had another job in my area. The new driveway is beautiful! Used email to send me my estimate which included photos taken of the old driveway and the changes that were needed - this allowed me to see that Frank understood what I wanted done and ensured that he wouldn't forget them. I had to get my own permit for the project.

EXCELLENT!!! Frank came out quickly for the estimate and once we returned the contract, the work was scheduled for within 2 weeks. They were here when they said they would be or called the day before if there was to be a delay. The workers were careful with plants that lined the driveway. They did a great job with both the asphalt and the cement work. The driveway looks wonderful and we have not seen any puddles forming after a number of recent rain storms. The edge of the driveway runs right along the house and the finish is beautiful. No asphalt on the house. The other edge of the driveway runs along a flower bed and is beautifully tapered. All debris was promptly removed and their clean-up was good. I would highly recommend this company. The owner was there at the start and end of the job and visited the site as the work progressed.

After the removal of the old drive, regrading and the stone base down the stone was even with the garage floor. It was obvious that 3" of asphalt would put the drive 3" higher than the garage floor and it was also to high by the house. There was no argument but I did have to insist that it be regraded. After having them regrade everything looked OK but in the end they where too high by the house and I had to cut the bottom of my dryer vent off just to get it back on and I had to put a 90* elbow on my spigot to be able to use my hose. They had to remove the fence in order to correctly resurface the drive but they did not re tighten the bolts that hold the fence together.

Very happy with work. They showed up on the day and time as scheduled. They completed work in a few hours. We also got a discount for having the work done during a slow time.

Frank was very responsive from my initial phone call, willing to spend time answering my questions before I accepted the proposal. Once accepted, they were able to schedule the work within 2 weeks. They originally planned to start the work on a Friday, but were able to start Thursday afternoon and tore the old drive out. They built the retaining wall and poured the gravel base on Friday, hopefully resolving settlement issues we had with our old drive. The only delay on Friday was due to the local Unilock supplier being out of the stone, and they had to travel much further to purchase. They laid the new asphalt on Saturday morning. They were also able to salvage our old stoop and reset it, saving me $300. Overall, a very good experience, and I have received several compliments from my neighbors on the project.

We decided to go with concrete BUT if we had gone asphalt this is the company we would have selected. Quick with a very through bid(s). They provided three bids on three different approaches to fixing our driveway problem.

Frank was very responsive to my calls and provided an estimate very quickly. Given the cost of the job, we have decided to hold off for now. But this company will be on our list when we are ready to do this job.

Bad experience from the start and I'm not chasing down a company, no matter how highly they're rated, when I can get 3 more bids from other reputable firms.

They did an excellent job. I was very pleased. The owner, Frank, was on the job most of the time. He was nice and cooperative. The crew was very nice. The mess was cleaned.

A very professional proposal was provided and we were impressed and intended to give them the job, but when we asked for a Certificate of Insurance, we were told that he would not send it to us until we sent the signed proposal. This has NEVER happened to us for any job. We thought that was unbelievably unprofessional. But we tried calling them again for it first, but didn't even get a returned phone call. So we went with another company from Angie's List and we were glad that we did!

Overall, very good experience. Very pleased with work done. Frank is very helpful and very responsive. Called back right away and is always readily available when I had a question. Price was very competitive. Obtained quotes from two others and International's was the best. Only glitch I experienced is when I signed and faxed back the contract, it somehow got misplaced and I never got on their schedule. Hence, I had to wait another 3 weeks prior to getting the work done.

Out of 3 proposals, we chose the highest one. The difference in the level of the asphalt in the final stage is what made us decide to go with them. They added gravel and built it up to the specifications required by law. Very professional. We dealt with Frank. His whole crew was very respectful of our property. I can't say enough good things about him.

Overall experience was excellent. Frank promptly returned phone call, was punctual for the appointment and for the start date for the job. The crew was efficient and tidy. After the job was done, they cleaned up the site well. There is no question that I would use International Paving again.

The whole process, including getting the permits, took about 2-1/2 months. Frank provided a detailed estimate on the spot when we went over the work. He also made suggestions such as lowering and angling the manhole, and finishing our walkway prior to paving, and how the angles would be on the sides. The price was reasonable, the workers professional and the work was high quality. The only negative was that phone calls were not always returned promptly. We would hire them again.

OUR OLD DRIVEWAY WAS IN VERY BAD SHAPE. FRANK GAVE US TWO ESTIMATES-ONE FOR RESURFACING AND ONE FOR REPLACING. WE DECIDED TO GO WITH THE REPLACEMENT SINCE IT WOULD LAST LONGER. FRANK WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND HE AND HIS CREW DID A NICE JOB. THEY REMOVED THE OLD ASPHALT AND APPLIED 3.5 INCHES OF NEW ASPHALT (BINDER & SURFACE.)
