Chicagoland's leading glass and mirror company, with award-winning showrooms in Addison and Chicago. Family owned and operated, we have built our reputation on delivering superior quality, expert craftsmanship, and outstanding values.
My wife and I experienced a problem with our old sliding mirrored doors, and we decided to have them replaced. The old doors were purchased from Home Depot, so we started there. We discovered that most of what was available was rather cheap in quality, so we then went to the internet to find some higher quality mirrored doors. We shopped around extensively, and got quotes from several places. We decided to go with Creative Mirror and Shower, and we are very glad we did. The quote from Creative Mirror and Shower was the lowest, but it is certainly no reflection of their high quality products and service. We also got $100 bucks for booking our appointment online, which was a nice bonus. Tim from Creative Mirror came initially out to measure. He was respectful and professional and measured the space quickly. Our last doors had a giant strip of caulk between the guide rail along the ceiling, and Tim thought they could do a much better job installing the doors, and getting rid of the caulk entirely. I removed the old panels myself, and scraped off the old caulk, and to ensure a perfect fit in the clear opening, Tim came back to measure a second time. When the mirrors were ready to be installed, which was about 2 weeks later, since we asked for a special, white powder coating, Tim and Joe came out to install the mirrors. They did a perfect job where even the handles were placed uniformly on both sides. Tim and Joe were pleasant, respectful and highly professional. I get the impression they'd be fun to hangout with too. My wife and I are exceptionally pleased with the final results. The large panels slide effortlessly, which my wife loves, considering the old, failing doors moved like pyramid blocks up a hill, and my wife is quite small. The owner, Mark Pritikin, was even involved along the way, and checked in with us to see if we were happy with the results. Mark also explained the difference between the types of rails before we placed our order, and we went with aluminum rather than steel, since our old doors had a steel rail, and it was easily dented, interfered with the operation of the doors, and felt extremely cheap when I pulled it off the floor. The finish on the mirrored panels is clear and uniform with no distortion, and for the price, the quality is truly fantastic. The rails are really nice too. We also like the fact, that since they spent so much time customizing the doors to fit exactly into the imperfect space, there is no visible, giant, unsightly wad of tapered caulk where the guide rail meets the ceiling. All in all, I have to say that Creative Mirror and Shower delivers exceptional service, and their products are solid, well made and move very smoothly along the track. We are incredibly happy we chose them. I give them five stars for both quality of product and quality of service. We recommend them to our friends, family and associates, and I am glad to recommend them via Yelp, they deserve it for sure.

I had an extreme custom Sandblast | Etched | Engraved Biparting Master Bath Entry Glass Door Project that I entrusted the Creative Mirror and Shower Team with. Owner Mark Pritikin promised that if I could exercise patience, his team would do an amazing job. True to his word and commitment, they did! Glass Artist Scott Williams took my original picture and transformed it into a work of art on these doors! I had asked him to utilize his artistic impression and license to make something special. Starting with a picture of the mountain - Sierra Blanca (White Mountain) - that towered above Ruidoso, NM, my home town, Scott began to visualize the custom project he would deliver. In our ideation sessions, Scott asked for input on his thoughts as we worked toward the final design. As we moved through the consultations, Scott shared how he would use the clear glass as the mid tone, and then through Etching | Sandblasting | Engraving bring out the light and dark sections of the mountains and trees. Scott suggested adding additional visual elements to the foreground so that it was not just a field of snow. Because of his suggestions, I shared with him more about my little hometown, leading to him incorporating the Rio Ruidoso (Noisy Water) river and Lake Bonito (Beautiful Lake) into the design. While the sky in the original picture was clear, Scott also incorporated some beautiful clouds, a light snowing effect, and a small bird hidden in one of the trees! As Yoda would say . . . Simply amazing these doors are! Early on, others on the Glass Art Team - Including Andy Mack and Gramos Krasniqi also played a part in the product layout and black and white contrast effects. When the artwork was complete, Caryn Castellanos was prompt and efficient with scheduling and follow-up for the installation. She also helped me in obtaining the proper glass cleaning supplies for this special piece. Mark and his Glass Shop Director - Tim Gile - entrusted Enrigue and Sam for the installation. I’d already done my research and knew in advance that Enrique is who I wanted leading the install. These two were most professional during their time in my home. They protected not only the glass, but the walls and carpets as they moved their install equipment in. Enrique and Sam were diligent and deliberate in their work, fine tuning every aspect of the doors and hardware during installation (So happy I had them as at one point, in my dreams, I thought I could have completed the install on my own - They definitely showed me how far off I was in my thoughts). They arrived timely (and even a bit earlier than I had expected) and stayed until I was highly satisfied. Enrique and Sam also took the time to install the extra door stops I had provided to ensure these fantastic doors were protected. All in all - The doors are simply masterpieces! As a surprise gift to my wife, Kim, who did not know the details of what I was working on as the months went by, she was simply blown away when she got to see them for the first time yesterday! Thank you all for the personal attention to this very special project. Michael and Kim
It went well. Mild frustration with the time it took for Creative Mirror to come up to the far North Suburbs

We went to their showroom, talked to the salesman, who was friendly enough. They gave us a written estimate of $1,7200 for a semi-framed shower glass door including installation. I was a little surprised of the price. We then went to All Mirror and Glass in Streamwood, IL and they will do the exact same door with installation for 1,200.00. Needless to say, we won't be purchasing from Creative Mirror and Shower. It truly pays to shop around!

It was very well. It was completed quick than I thought. The price was too much. There were two panels about 5 by 11. They did an excellent job. I would give them a B because of the price. Otherwise, it would have been an A. I would recommend them but I would probably not use them again.

Victoria at Creative mirrors is fantastic! We are so glad we stopped in to their show room. She took us back into the area where they do their etching and explained the process to us. Victoria explained all of our options and after changing our minds several times and several emails and calls later, we decided to go with the custom shower base, soap dish insert, the bench seat, and a no header shower with palm etching privacy band. When our contractors were ready for them to come out for the measuring, they were prompt and again very informative and explained all of our options and helped us through the process of designing our own shower. The installers are very professional and explained in detail how to clean and maintain the shower. If anything goes wrong, just call them and they will come out fix it. Oh yes - I needed it installed in 2 weeks for a birthday party and we were having overnight guests so we really needed the shower done. I called Victoria and she made it happen! It was great. The installers usually are done for the day at 3:00, but they came and installed the shower after 3:00. We also love the custom shower base! – It cost a bit more, but well worth it! We don’t have to worry about slipping, and the feel is just like stepping into a spa! Thanks Creative Mirrors and Shower - very professional team!

I called Creative Mirror & Shower for a quote to install a frameless shower door on our oversized shower. Hershey Blitstein came out quickly to give us a quote. He was great & knows what he is doing because he's been in the business forever. I had already had 2 companies out for quotes. Creative was the most competitive and confident that they could do exactly what we wanted. We had to wait awhile for the installation but it looks beautiful. The installers were great, too. Shower enclosures are their specialty and this became obvious since I had talked to 2 glass companies that didn't exactly leave me feeling confident that the job would be done right. Very pleased!

Short summary, the work was executed very well, the doors are beautiful and were installed with a high level of skill. Communication with the company was terrible. This job took them 4 months to complete, an unacceptable amount of time. The person who came out to install did a very quick measure, and then I was asked via email to place a deposit, which I did. Then I never heard from this company, not once did they call or email me, I had to call them each time. An install date was set, the installers came out, and the doors were the wrong size. And I don't mean off by a quarter inch, but way off by a few inches. The doors were sent back, then several weeks of calling them once a week, only to be told to call back in another week. Again, they never called me or emailed me. Finally I was given an install date, and the person who arranges installed said this was my fault for not letting them know I would install carpet ,but that they would absorb the cost of redoing the doors. Now when the original guy came to measure, there was no carpet, no doors, no light fixtures, obviously it was under extensive renovation. I was never asked what I would be putting down over the bare concrete floors. Also the installers cut channels in the carpet and installed the bottom tracks into the concrete floor anyway. and the doors were inches off, trust me I didn't install a 2 inch thick carpet. I would advise anyone looking for glass and mirror work contact Chicago Glass and Mirror, at 773.789.5050, they do excellent work and communicate well.

The overall experience was easy and excellent. I couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: I decided to use mirrors as the kitchen backsplash. Not mirror tiles - just plain mirrors. Creative Mirror was very responsive in coming out for the estimate and they offered some excellent ideas on how to accomplish the look I wanted. The installation process went very well except when they guys discovered a mistake in one of the panes; it had been cut too short. However, they had the new one within a week and even gave me the pane that couldn't be used so I now have a nice mirror in my closet! The switch plate covers that were cut from mirrors are gorgeous as is the deckled edge at the end of the counter. By the way, a mirror backsplash is not difficult to keep clean!

Things went well. We contracted Creative on the day our door broke (a Saturday) and someone was at our house to give us an estimate the very next day. They gave us a written estimate but told us to let them know if we got other estimates that were lower. We ended up getting 3 estimates total and one of them was about $300 lower than Creative's. We told the rep about the other estimate and he met us in the middle and took $150 off of their price. They sent someone out to take precise measurements the next day. The part of our job that is unusual is that we were about to move out of our house when the one panel of or shower simply exploded. Luckily, no one was in the room at the time and no one was injured. It was a huge mess to clean up and we needed the glass repaired right away because we were closing on the house in less than 2 weeks. Creative was able to accommodate our time line and had the custom glass made and installed 2 days before our closing. When the glass originally broke we were very concerned that our home sale would be impacted, but luckily, things were repaired quickly and the sale went through. The installers were nice and got the glass installed quickly. They came just when they said they would and the finished glass looks great (as good as new).

Awesome customer service and quality products. We visited the showroom in January when we were beginning our bathroom remodeling. We received wonderful assistance in their Addison showroom. No pressure sales at all. We upgraded to a thicker glass based on their recommendation and we are extremely happy with the finished product. They even manufacture the product in Illinois! They came out to measure and arrived at the beginning of their two hour time window. Installation also occurred during the promised time by a courteous and professional installer. We HIGHLY recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

It was great. The sales person was really helpful. The product they installed was really nice. They did a good job all the way around, sales, measuring, installation the whole thing. We were so happy with them we didn't even compare the price. Price by then wasn't even an object, it was just such great quality and a good skill set.

This is an exceptionally well run business. The sale and install was done in three stages, each by a specialist. There was a sales representative, a measurement specialist and a two man installation team. The communication from one specialist to the next was flawless. Each knew the job requirements in detail. Pride in the company was evident from each employee. They were prompt, courteous, friendly, helpful and professional. The end result was a beautiful installation.I'm not sure whether there is another supplier for this type of backsplash in the area. Other glass vendors declined to bid the job.I was extremely impressed with Creative Glass. They have perfected what they do in every respect.

On the whole it was a disappointing experience. I called Creative Mirror because they were listed as the dealer for the glass door enclosure I was replacing. After talking with the salesman, I decided to install different doors of Creative Mirror design, which were slightly less expensive and had a nice appearance. The installation was done well. What did not work was the design of the doors and the service response once this was recognized. On each of the sliding doors, there is a towel bar. On the reverse of each end of each bar on the other side of the glass is a 3/16 inch button. There is a 3/4 inch gap between the doors, which allows the doors and buttons to slide freely past each other. Unfortunately, these "buttons" are the only knobs you have to open the door at the faucet end of the tub from the outside, or to exit the far end of the tub from the inside. After recognizing the problem on first use, I called Creative Mirror to find out if there were alternatives to these buttons--something larger that you could grip to open the doors. At first they brought out a 3/4 inch knob, which was attractive, but crashed into the opposing door when you opened it since it was the same height as the door clearance. On a second visit, they brought out something equally unworkable. I called repeatedly from November to March almost weekly to try to resolve this. They rarely returned calls, promised return calls that never came, etc. In the end, I purchased some black rubber gaskets that I installed myself between the buttons and the glass, so I am able to grip what is now a 5/8 inch button. This is functional, but not particularly attractive. Given the layout of my bathroom, a door of this design should never have been installed in the first place unless it had a knob design to facilitate opening the doors.

I would not recommend this company. We had a leak with our shower doors, and the plumber recommended this company to us. First, they have an estimate scam. They tell you that they will come out to give a free estimate. The person that came out for our estimate had a business card that identified him as a Vice President, so I would think he would be able to identify what type of shower doors we would need (our shower is very plain, no special features). He said that he was not sure what we needed, that we needed a "specialist" to come out and tell us what we needed, at a cost of $125.00. If you buy the shower doors from them, the $125 is applied as a credit. Went to showroom to pick out shower doors. Pamela directed us to the shower doors. We picked our choice in a few minutes. As she was writing up our order to spend $1,400.00 another customer walked in. This customer was about to leave and she kept telling him to sit down and wait, she would be right with him. She kept talking to him, asking him what he was looking for. I should have left right then, realizing that this is their level of customer service. We did not receive even 5 minutes of her devoted attention, she was too busy trying to keep others from leaving. The "specialist" had recommended that we get our grout done before having the doors installed. The grout was done, but it was not done correctly, so we have to wait for it to be redone. We called the day before our doors were to be delivered to delay for regrouting time, and we were told that our doors were already on the truck, they would charge us $300.00 to delay.

Creative Mirror was referred to us by our general contractor for our shower doors. They furnished and installed the glass shower enclosure for our master bathroom's stand up shower. Price was good, quality is good. There was some other activity going on in the bathroom when the installers originally arrived on the morning of the install, and they were happy to come back later in the day without complaint. We also had them price some glass for another set of doors, but ended up going with another contractor that had a lower price.

Called them for an estimate and their bid was in line with another job I did a year ago so I did not get another quote. Another guy came a week later and measured for the actual order. It took about 2 weeks to have the shower door made, mirrors only took a couple days. They install the mirror in 3 sections and the door went in with no issues. It looks great! Some of the best customer service I've had in few years.

I couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional this operation is. Amazing that they've been in business since the 70's! To start from the beginning, we drove out to the showroom to get an estimate for semi-frameless shower doors. there were two sales people, and both were busy. the sales lady informed my wife (curtly) that she'd be with us after she finished with her current customer. we waited. and waited. and waited. well over a half hour later i walked to the front of the store and found that the sales lady was chit chatting her customer, instead of politely excusing herself to deal with other potential customers. a man who i believe was the owner then came back to help us. he wasted the next 45 minutes of our lives bashing the competition and trying to sell us on an expensive glass treatment (300+). I will say this - he seemed very knowledgeable about glass and mirrors, knowledgeable enough to play on the customer's fears regarding safety. As I said above he also focused on bashing the competition. another potential customer came in while we were there and informed the sales lady that his shower door had shattered and cut his son. she immediately said it was supposed to shower and it impossible that it had cut his son. turns out the guy hadn't even bought the shower door there, he was hoping they could replace it with something safer! her rude behavior chased away a potential sale, and her reaction was enough for us to wonder how many accidents of this nature these guys had caused. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH CREATIVE MIRROR AND SHOWER!
