Big Time Construction Inc.

I can't say enough good things about Joe and his team and don't let the low number of reviews turn you away. Initially, we didn't consider Big Time Construction because of how few reviews there were compared to others. It turns out that one of our neighbors works for Big Time Construction and saw we were getting bids, so he dropped off Joe's card. I contacted Joe and let him know that while we already had four estimates, but we would consider his if we could have the proposal within a few days. Joe was over within 48 hrs with what turned out to be the winning bid. Once I checked the company's reviews elsewhere and looked at his work, we decided to move forward with him and got what we needed for our permits, it was a matter of scheduling... which changed a couple of times due to a rainy spring here in the Chicago area. Joe kept us informed throughout and we eventually got rolling. The two days of the job were a whirlwind of removal and pouring. The crew arrived early, stayed late, kept things fairly clean, and worked hard throughout. What stood out was their attention to detail and desire to be as perfect as they could be on the California framing pattern. Other companies bid 4-5 inches over 4-6 days of work. Joe's crew put in 6 inches in two days and came back the third to remove the forms. The only surprise was that this new thickness means we will need to bring in a fair amount of topsoil to adjust to the new grade. Would we work with Big Time Construction again? Absolutely. Joe's respectful approach left my wife and I both very comfortable talking with him and very happy we chose his company for our driveway.

It was amazing! The work is amazing. Joe was amazing. He went to bat for us with the city when they were not okay with out plans. He did everything exactly how we wanted it. His crew was ridiculously polite and nice. Such an amazing experience. I would recommend him to anyone. He also did out neighbors patio and walkway and they are thrilled!!!! He was on target with everyone else's prices. I'm just thrilled!

They came out and give me an estimate, got all the permits from the village and starting tearing out the next week. They had some trouble with rain during June so the project took almost 3 weeks. Then the day they poured it happened to rain so they tore the driveway our and poured again.
