Description of Work: Very professional. Fee was paid be insurance so I did not see it.

Description of Work: Supposed to do simple repair of water-damaged ceilings taking no more than 21 days. This contractor selected by my insurance company. After a few days on site, McKenzie Taylor asserted they had discovered toxic mold and walked off the job. No tests had been performed to confirm. McKenzie Taylor then began demanding up to $20,000 from me, out-of-pocket before work would continue. As months dragged on, I provided insurance co. with proof of McKenzie Taylor's business practices. Also informed insurer that in the few days McKenzie Taylor actually worked, they did nearly $5,000 additional damage to my home (heating system, smoke detectors, etc.). I then hired my own contractor. Non-toxic mold was treated for less than $400 vs. McKenzie Taylor's demands for up to $20,000. Ceiling repair work was completed by my contractor on time and at budgeted costs. Damages done by McKenzie Taylor were then repaired by another contractor. McKenzie Taylor's conduct caused my wife and I to stay in a motel for five consecutive months vs. the original 21-day schedule.
