+ 0 moreDoyle Reader was as professional as they come and has a long history of quality work. He was easy to work with, completed the job and exceeded my expectations. I have confidence that our foundation is now secure! He actually devised a better way to fill the space and reduced the quantity the concrete required which resulted in a substantial savings for us. He and his crew had to enter the house to access the job site. I expected to see some evidence of their activities, but the house was left so clean that there was not a trace of their work except for the new concrete reinforcement. I would unequivocally recommend him and use his firm again on any future construction.
Description of Work: He reinforced our residential foundation where the previous owner had excavated too much soil from a crawl space area. The owner had made a large earthen room for additional storage but the soil at the foundation had begun to stuff having lost it's integrity to bear the weight of this 102 year old house. An engineering review recommended the the space be refilled with concrete. Doyle Reader was mentioned by the home inspector and he gave us an acceptable bid. We were very careful to seek a contractor who was an expert working with foundations. To compound the issue there was limit access to the basement.
