At first appearance the job look well done. After a couple of weeks the grass started coming up through the bark and we have had to spray to control the weeds and grass. Contactor sent over several workers and we noticed that 3-4 were always just standing around leaning on shovels. This project took 2 1/2 days could have been done in 1 1/2 days.

We hired this company to performan lanscaping services. They did not arrive on the expected start date, and after two weeks of unreturned calls, they called to reschedule the start date. Again, they did not show up and we spent the next three days trying to get ahold of them. We would not have rescheduled with them, but all other landscapers were scheduled weeks, if not months, out at this point. They did show up on the third scheduled date and the grading, leveling, and other work performed appeared to be excellent, although in the process of performing this work they did manage to tear up the wiring and several lines of our already installed sprinkler system. We are waiting for the repair of our sprinkler system at this time, and if past performance is an indication, we will not hear from this company again for weeks. Update: The company did come fix the sprinkler system two days later and it's working fine now. However, as we started to plant our yard the following weekend, we discovered that the "topsoil" they had brought in was full of fist-sized rocks, large sticks, and even many pieces of broken beer bottles (approximately two or three bottles' worth broken into pieces) that had been graded and pushed into the soil. We also found two large lengths of baling twine and matted pieces of straw packed into our graded yard. Since the soil we started with did not have these items, it was wonderful to know we had paid to have them brought in from the outside. It appears that the "topsoil" they brought in was from a dug-up construction site or farmyard. This caused hours and hours of raking and shoveling on our part and we are still left with an uneven, pitted yard where we had to pull these items out. Thanks for nothing, Spruce It Up Landscaping.
