Andy showed up on time for the appointment. He took the dimensions and email address and stated he would email the estimate in 2-3 days. After a week he called and said his concrete guy was out of town and apologized for the estimate taking so long. He stated he would have it in 2-3 more days. In 2 days I received a call from Andy telling me he emailed the estimate. I was shocked. The estimate was for almost twice as much as the other estimate and he wanted 3 days to complete the job. The job was completed in 1 day by another contractor. Andy stated he could do the job cheaper because he worked alone, but in this case not true.

Member, I'm sorry you were unhappy with the estimate I provided for you on your driveway. The price I gave you included all demo, ground preparation and concrete work, along with a 3 year warranty on the project. I always welcome clients to call me after reviewing my estimates to discuss my pricing if it is higher than other estimates received. Usually this is due to additional preparation on my part. I complete all jobs 100%, taking no shortcuts. Although it may be more expensive than some of my competitors, my work will never disappoint and is backed my personal warranty.
