A River City Plumbing

We needed a simple water shut off valve replaced at the water heater. They came out and quoted 850.00 to replace which included the 99.00 service call charge. Well I will let you be the judge for yourself. I paid the 99.00 and got someone else with reasonable charges.

Wonderful. Tom and Justin were enroute not only the same day, but in an hour or so. Hubby had installed new water softener and the kitchen sink had air constantly in the line. His troubleshooting did not resolve our issue. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and humorous. Tom found the dual minor issues right away. This is the 2nd time I've used A River City and they have become my go-to plumbers.

At first I thought it was a positive experience having A River City Plumbing check out my outside spigot- determining water pressure issue. We determined the outside water pressure issue and he wasn't going to charge me unnecessary work to fix something underground that didn't need to be fixed, so I appreciate that BUT they ended up just taking, rather STEALING, my own faucet parts from inside my home, i.e faucet aerator, from inside my kitchen sink without permission. I explained from the beginning that the water pressure issue is related to the OUTSIDE SPIGOT, but they replaced unnecessary parts on my kitchen sink, and did not come back after I ask him to return my original part he left with, which did not belong to him. I called he he said he would be back, but he never showed up and never respond messages requesting the part be returned to me. I had the faulty part he installed ready for him to pick back up so he could take his part back too. They initially came out to assess the low water pressure which I explained multiple times was related to the outside front spigot. I said the water pressure in the kitchen sink is fine, and it clearly was fine from the start when he first saw, but he continued to work on the kitchen sink anyway. I thought well maybe it's a way for him to examine from the inside. But no, he was just trying to do pretend labor and replace a part that was working fine. He unnecessarily replaced an aerator in the kitchen sink which made the sink pressure even lower when I went back a couple hours later to use the kitchen sink. He claims replacing the aerator was a courtesy- but it's not very courteous to walk with my my old one and not return it when I ask for it back. He downgraded my kitchen sink and walked away with parts that didn't belong to him. It was only a $5 part at Ace that I just got a replacement for myself, but still, it's the principle of it. I think he was trying to find a way to justify a labor charge and part charge for the inside sink when there was no problem at all inside and there was no further work for him to do outside. I'm not a professional plumber, but at the same time, I'm not an idiot. Buyer Beware

Good! I called in the morning and they were able to get to my house the same day. They were very polite and worked quickly. They scoped and roto-rooted the lines and also looked in the cleanout drain with a camera. The toilets seem to be draining better. They did recommend installing new toilets in both bathrooms.

The project went very smooth. They were very easy to work with, understood our vision, gave us plenty of options especially as the usual remodel challenges arose, and completed all that was requested on time and at a fair price. I wholeheartedly endorse A River City Plumbing, they will remain my GO-TO for any-and-all plumbing needs in the future. Thanks Dan & Brian!!!

Jesse and Josh came out to my house as soon as I put in my call. They promptly got to work. They cleared my main and showed me on camera the problem areas and educated me about how to manage it. They also fixed my toilet's wax seal and replaced the bolts free of charge when I explained that it was leaking from the base. I would recommend them for any drains you need cleared. I know they have my business for life. They did me right and were respectful and walked me through everything they did.

They were great. Less expensive, very knowledgeable, and they are wiling to share their knowledge, They are fast and friendly.

Scheduled appt with Dan and he showed up 2 hours early, without notifying our tenant, or us, of the change; he showed up at a very inconvenient time for her, expecting he would be accommodated. He called me within minutes of having arrived at the tenants’ home and said the faucet would need to be replaced, for $545! Considerably more than any plumber we’ve ever worked with - I refused his service and he is charging me $140 for the service call, excessive in my opinion. I’m not even sure if the faucet needs replacing, as he did not tell me what is wrong with it. I will find that out from someone I trust looking at it and doing the work. I called him based on the Angie’s List positive reviews, but am highly disappointed. Would never call River City Plumbing again.

Wow, this is a great company. I recently used another CDA plumber and had a very "thumbs down" experience, so I was skeptical when I read River City's words "integrity, and an honest price" but, folks, this company's actions matched its words. Dan (owner) came over the same day I called, inspected the old heater, worked diligently with my home insurance company and gave them a fair market quote. Accepted. The next day his journeyman plumber, Brian, and his helper, Jack, got the job done diligently and spent time explaining details and giving me service tips. I highly recommend this company.

I had a leaking hose bibb and had to shut off the water main when I wasn't needing to use water, as it was a pretty steady leak. They were able to come out first thing the next morning and arrived on schedule. They needed to replace the hose bibb and had all materials with them. It was done quickly, cleanly, and professionally. They are licensed in both Washington and Idaho. I would definitely use them again.

He arrived on time and fixed the toilet flange so my new toilet would not high center on the flange. While there he noticed a small leak in a pipe in my mechanical room and fixed that for me, too.
