When we arrived at the store, Skyler Goody greeted us immediately and asked how he could help. I explained that we were looking for a leather couch and love seat. I also explained that walking all around the store was difficult for me because my back hurts. Skyler took us by a number of pieces of furniture that he thought might interest us, all in a direct route to other leather couches and love seats. He was very sensitive to my need to keep walking to a minimum. Skyler explained the pros and cons of different materials and explained that Ashley Furniture was all built in the U.S. with parts from global sources. He explained that bonded leather would last about as long as fabric and that leather, properly maintained, should last nearly a lifetime. After making our choice, Skyler quoted a full "half off" as the sale price for us. We were delighted! Our furniture has been ordered and we look forward to the free delivery they provide. Skyler explained that our local store was family owned and operated. It is important to us to shop locally and knowing that the store is family owned made a difference to us. We never felt rushed of pressured, only welcomed as a family would feel. Skyler has a wonderful sense of humor and is an asset to the store.
