My exterior is beautiful! Mark and his crew along with Brian the carpenter he uses did a thorough and outstanding job! I am using them again for interior work and have already passed on this company to my daughter.

Mark and his team did an excellent job on our interior painting project. They were very professional and detail oriented, and they took great care in doing drywall repairs and cleaning up the space after they were finished. We will definitely use them again for future projects!

We selected Continental after interviewing several candidates and they were definitely the right choice. I was concerned about the timing because of all the rain but they were worth waiting for. The house was power washed prior to the job and looked like new before the painting even started. Mark Ernst and his crew applied two coats of paint after making a few minor repairs. They matched the paint very well and were careful around the house. We will definitely call on Continental again for our painting needs.

I am exceedingly happy with the work Mark and his crew did on my house. I needed someone to meet a very narrow window of time between moving homes, and Mark was able to pull it off. They painted every wall, ceiling, and all of the doors and trim work in short order and for a very reasonable price. In addition, they removed a wallpaper borders from a few rooms, patched several holes, and took off wall paper in a small laundry room. The crew were friendly, competent, and a pleasure to work with. Mark even went above and beyond to caulk my shower, patch a bad spot on my ceiling, and hook up my dryer vent. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I have recommended him and his company to several friends.

We could not be happier with the job they did! They were easy to work with, detail oriented, arrived on time each morning and everyone was so friendly! We look forward to working with them again on future projects.

We needed a lot of painting done so our house could be listed on the market. Mark's team got us into their schedule very fast, and we were thrilled with the result. They painted over a mural and patched and skimmed all the dents in the drywall professionally. Great group of guys on the crew, they were so nice and the quality of work is A+.

Updating my review from a couple of months ago. After I left a disappointing review about Continental Painting, Mark called and we were able to come to terms with our differences. Classic case of mis-communication. I was able to finally get the exterior carpentry work done and we were very happy with the work. I am glad that Mark and I were able to discuss the issue and agree to move forward - this doesn't always happen so I really appreciate the fact that we were able to come to an agreement. This alone should speak volumes for Continental Painting!

Mark and his crew did an outstanding job on our 1938 English Tudor. He did a great job of prepping and painting as well as cleaning up at the end of each day (a lot of prep was required). His crew was extremely professionally and paid great attention to all of the necessary details to make the project successful. Bottom line, we’d never use another painter other than Mark/Continental Painting.

Mark and his crew were fantastic! When they went on the roof to power wash the chimneys, they found the chimneys were in pretty bad shape. Mark helped me find someone who could repair the chimneys as quickly as possible. These people were awesome too. I can’t say enough about Mark’s and his crew’s professionalism, flexibility, and quality of work. The house is beautiful and we have received numerous compliments on how fantastic the house looks. We have painting to be done on the inside of the house and Continental Painting is who I intend to have do this work.

Mark and his crew did an excellent job painting the exterior of our house. First, they power washed all the surfaces (including the front porch that had some mildew on the concrete), they caulked the wood trim and did some repairs on the wood trim that had been water damaged over the years. Finally, they gave the surfaces two coats of paint. They were on time daily and always friendly and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves daily. Mark was a real pro and a perfectionist. His estimate was fair and reasonable considering all the work they did. I would gladly hire Mark and his crew again and would recommend Continental Painting and Home Improvements to friends and neighbors.

High quality painting with prep work. Easy to work with, punctual and all crew members friendly. When job was done, great clean up. It's been a long time since my expectations were exceeded but they were here.

Mark was very punctual and very personable. Went over the details of the work, as we walked around the house. Very thorough. While he was not the most expensive, he was 25% higher than the average quote (we requested a total of 5), which was substantial. Net, we chose another service for the work. Based on his professionalism I would consider hiring in the future if costs were more competitive.

1. Exterior painting. Wrap around porch/Cedar siding. I sought a contractor with a descent-sized crew and experience, who could finish the job in less than 2 weeks. I met with owner, who works at most times on site with his workers, about 4-6 individuals. He was knowledgeable and gave a detailed plan, including: preparation by power washing with dilute bleach, scraping, repair of damaged wood with packing, temporarily removing downspouts, two applications of paint and clean up. He and his crew did a superb job and were friendly. They finished the job earlier than expected. $10,000. 2. Interior painting. They did a nice job outside, so hired them again. They painted 5 rooms, including a large room with high sloped ceiling. The crew was smaller, 2-3 workers. The owner is meticulous about prep work and spent quite a bit of time plastering and sanding. They made a good effort to clean up after every work day. Two coats of paint on walls and ceiling and re-touched trim. They did a great job, taking about 1 week. $4,000.

EXCELLENT JOB!! Mark, Pete and Evan knocked it out of the park! We couldn't be happier with the job they did painting our downstairs living area. The job was completed on time as promised. The crew always cleaned up the work area after each day and always made sure we were satisfied with each days work. Would highly recommend this professional crew for any painting job.

I was very happy with the end result. The 50 year old house looks fresh and clean and move-in ready. They did a meticulous job and paid attention to all the details, consulting me on anything where they had a question. In addition to doing a great job, I was also appreciative that Mark shared his ideas and expertise, giving me great advice on other aspects of our home improvement efforts as well.

On very short notice and up against a crazy deadline, Mark's team did an incredible job. They worked long days and evenings to get the job done on time. The house looks fantastic and we'll be contacting Continental Painting for all of our painting needs in the future.

I received about 5 painting bids for the exterior of our house. Most painters were in and out with their bids. We have a fairly larger house and I found Continental painting on Angie’s List. Mark was competitive and was extremely thorough in terms of explaining everything to my wife and I. He even gave us several suggestions and options to choose from on our project. Mark always made time to answer any questions, even by phone. He earned my business by being available for questions and being thorough in his explanations. His crew did an outstanding job. Chuck and Pete were at our house from over a week and a half. They didn’t rush through any portion of our house. They were very meticulous and put a solid two coats on everything. I can’t recommend this company enough. We have over 700 houses in our neighborhood and I will be referring business to them as soon as my friends need painting done. Thanks to Mark and his crew for such a thorough, complete, and outstanding job.

Exceeded expectations! You know you have a good painter when more time is spent on prep than painting. Re-caulked entire house - two coats of premium paint - excellent and innovative carpentry solutions. Owner, Mark was on site everyday - nice to have the person who did the quote and inspection actually involved with the work. Have already recommended to neighbors. He even followed up after the first rain to see if there were any issues - nice touch.

Mark was very personable, professional and squeezed my rather small project in before I had to leave town. He uses excellent subs and top quality paints, caulks, etc.
