We did the work ourselves and did not hire a contractor. I did not use them. They were very nice and very professional but the estimate was too high. The estimate was free. I did everything over the phone. It was not necessary to meet with them. They had a clear handle on it. They responded quickly.

I called Wickstroms and they were able to send someone out the same day. With in a few hours I had hot water again and a new water heater.

As we had a leak that precluded the use of the kitchen sink we could not wait the several days necessary for other plumbers to bid the job. Plumber arrived within the allotted 'same day' time slot. Performed the job professionally and satisfactorily. Purchase of the Service Agreement gave us a 15% discount on the estimated cost. The agreement is for a whole-house plumbing inspection.

Fast response for emergency call to fix sump pump in basement. Reasonable rates. Decided to have them do additional work that was needed. Upstairs toilet was leaking around base -- fixed quickly. Garbage disposal died; fixed quickly. Very pleased with service and professionalism.

Great. We've used Wickstrom a couple of times and have had prompt, courteous service each time. Including biannual inspections of the system, we've had them over a few times. Each one of the guys has been very professional.

They came on time and were very polite and enjoyable two young men,they checked out the toilet and then got the equipment that they and needed and in about 5 minutes they had the toilet clog out and running good. they cleaned up the area and We paid them and they thanked us for the business and left. I called with a short notice to the date I needed the service. Helen at the desk was super nice and helpful. She kept me posted on the arrival time. Chris came out to the house and was professional and quick. When I needed some clarification regarding the certification they provided for my lender the following day Scott took care of it right away. Overall everybody was very straight forward to communicate with. Very nice and professional. Great custome service even with a seemingly "minor" project. Will definitely hire them for a bigger project if needed.

After Wickstrom's first attempt to find and repair the leak, another leak was discovered and the whole line needed to be replaced. Multiple problems occurred during this process, and in fairness some were not Wickstrom's fault, but several were. The biggest problem was that while replacing the water line they did some serious damage to my lawn and sprinkler system. To compare performance, during their work the Wickstrom crew reported that my utility's water main and meters were not up to code and the utility sent a heavy equipment crew to replace and repair the substandard fittings. United Water's crew did a great job on the repairs and returned the area of the yard where they were working to original condition. A few days later, the first time the sprinkler system came on after Wickstrom's repairs, their substandard parts failed resulting in three sprinkler line geysers which flooded my neighbor's yard with three inches of water and left some serious erosion in my lawn. I called Wickstrom to come repair the sprinkler lines (again) but, after they dug up my yard, fixed only two of the breaks. They took some of the topsoil from the United Water repairs to replace the eroded sections caused by their sprinkler line failure. On top of that they left a 30 inch deep hole where they took the fill dirt and then refused to repair the leak, falsely claiming it was United Water's fault. United Water came back out, explained to me the line break and demonstrated that it was Wickstrom's work that had failed. United Water went ahead and repaired the sprinkler line, but could not fill the hole (which I don't fault them for, they had already filled it once and Wickstrom's crew took the dirt to fill the other holes their shoddy work had caused.) When I contacted Scott Wickstrom about all the damage his crew had done to my yard and failed to repair, he was unapologetic and rather than replace the damaged lawn asked if I wanted some more topsoil so I could fix it myself. I was wholly unsatisfied with Wickstrom's response to the many problems and believe that if they did such a poor job on the visible part of their work I am unlikely to find the underground repairs to be of any higher quality. I would not recommend these folks under any circumstances, but they are the Boise contractor of record for the Home Guard leak coverage. If they do show up at your house I would recommend you keep a close eye on their work.

When our main water line sprung a leak, I contacted 7 different top-rated Angie's List providers to find someone who could get the job done quickly and correctly. Wickstrom won our business because of their responsiveness, price, and equipment they had available (mini excavator, horizontal borer, pipe puller) that would minimize damage to our yard. Technicians Chris and Garrett arrived on time and got right to work, repairing our water line, replacing 22 year old sprinkler supply and drain valves, and moving the sprinkler valves from a depth of 6? to 3?. Despite it being a rare rainy day in Boise, they did an outstanding job, working in tight quarters around all landscaping and curbing, and leaving the site looking as if nothing had happened. Chris and Garrett are two of the most professional, courteous, and conscientious young men I've had the pleasure of doing business with. Helen the dispatcher and Brad the estimator were also first rate. This is a first-class outfit and I will use them for all my future plumbing needs. I highly recommend them.

They are really excellent. They work with people that are on Reguard insurance; we have Reguard. If we have a leak in our major plumbing and Reguard has to send somebody out, so Wickstrom Plumbing Heating & Air works with them.

They were very prompt and when they did a few things that were not in the original estimate that caused them to lose a few hours they were there first thing in the morning to finish the job. They stayed a little late so we could use our new shower and did not make us feel like we were imposing on their time. I truly enjoyed having them do the work and would use them again with no reservations!

The guys that came were very professional, and polite. One was the lead and trainer of the other one. After I explained my issues and that I wanted a new faucet installed that I had bought they set out to figure out the leak. They figured out that the drain attachments to the sink were not the correct size for the sink drain hole and that the putty the previous plumbers had used had finally hardened, broken, and fallen out allowing water to leak into the cabinet under the counter. They had to go all the way into Boise for the correct fitting, and then they replaced the faucet which they had to do some adjustments for also. They were very professional and explained the details I ask about as they worked. They charged me for the job not the hours they were here nor travel time. I highly recommend Wickstrom Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. They are easy to work with and I appreciated their suggestions and recommendations for other items I ask about. I will be having them out again as my needs arise.

I did not compare prices but had been referred to them as priced 'reasonable'. Brad did a good job efficiently, spoke clearly of what needed doing and no extras were charged. He was professional and pleasant.

Brad was professional and helpful, returning from his van as he saw I was struggling with a leaky hose. He easily fixed that and was on his way. My husband and I have found the Wickstrom company both with this plumbing job and heating/ AC issues that we have had at our residence to be friendly, professional, knowledgable and very adept at communicating options. They are our goto company!

He took the time to check three times to make sure it wasn’t the engine in there that had problem. He checked thoroughly there wasn’t anything in there.

I called their office as our gas fireplace would not ignite. I was asked the last time it had been serviced and advised it had been over 10 years. The person I talked to said she would recommend having it serviced for $149, which most of the time solves the problem. I made the appointment for the next day and Jim Cobb showed up on time and was very professional. He put covers over his shoes before entering the carpeted area and put down cloth to protect the hearth and carpet in front of the fireplace. Jim found the problem, corrected it and cleaned and serviced the fireplace. He even cleaned the glass doors. I was very impressed by the service and having a $20 off coupon from their website made it even better.

We moved to Idaho last summer and had our inspector's report about some problems (of a different variety) with two gas fireplaces in our almost 2-yr old house. The wiring issue was identified early, but even though this issue was brought many times to the attention of our realtor, seller, and builder (with whom we were still within 2-yr warranty) it was never acknowledged or fixed so we decided to take matters into our own hands to get our fireplaces working. Jim of Wickstrom was great, starting with putting on protective footcovers before entering our house. He was professional and personable, too. After inspecting our situation, he needed to do a little more analysis. After checking with the manufacturer, to our delight he came back the same time the very next day knowing exactly what to do with our wiring. He saved us a lot of money as the original wiring plan involved a third wire which if done now would require cutting through drywall since it would be done after the home was finished being built. We are very happy that a safe, workable alternative is now in place. We now have working gas fireplaces that we feel comfortable using since we moved here last July. We will not hesitate to contact Wickstrom for our plumbing and HVAC needs, as well. Reasonable price, too.
