Services we don't offer
We don't do concrete counter tops or large areas of curbing. We also don't dabble in lawn curbing. We do have companies we can recommend for these. We just aren't set up for this kind of work and the cost would be too high.
I had seen good reviews so hired them to do a small sidewalk project. I wanted reinforcement but was told I didn’t need it. Three months later the new concrete is cracked. I’ve called five times with no response. I only wanted some proper relief cuts as to prevent worsening cracks. I haven’t received a call over the months I’ve tried. I paid $4500. Tucker where are you? Enjoy the cash

While removing the old driveway, they discovered that it was laid on top of some sort of clay/silt that retained water. The stuff had the consistency of jello. They had to excavate to a depth of several feet and then replace the dirt with sand/gravel mix. An unforeseen problem, but they dealt with it properly and the resulting driveway will last a lot longer as a result. Both the garage floor and the driveway look good, and the driveway drains well when it rains. Luke has an eye for detail which is reflected in the quality of the final result.

Let me just say right off: I am completely and utterly satisfied with Luke Tucker and the 'boys' and will certainly use them again!!! I am not only a 'home owner' that does projects here and there but I myself, am a contractor with 30 years working with many many subcontractors so I've seen the good the bad and the ugly on a large scale. I've been trying to get some concrete work done since last year that fit within my time schedule. I am often out of state and it's really hard to pin down a concrete contractor during the summer months. After attempting to use some of the 'first picks' on Angie's and not getting even a call back, I changed strategy and scrolled down the list in search of a smaller contractor. In my experience, using a smaller contractor, (not always) gives more value: a. willing to work with you, b. more attention to detail, and c. usually do the skilled portion of the work themselves. This is exactly what I got from Tucker Concrete! I left him a detailed message of what I was looking for (btw, this is always helpful from a contractor perspective, they are busy and on the run, the more detail you leave, the better they can reciprocate) and he returned my call I think the next day. He came out to look at the project already having worked up a cost. First of all he was very personable, spoke clearly, demonstrated knowledge of the trade and was forthright. I really appreciate, in a world of people saying anything to get a job, being forthright and forthcoming. Being in the trades I had some ideas and Luke was more than willing to incorporate my ideas and amended the cost accordingly including the paperwork right there. I had a very limited time window and although I know he couldn't guarantee he could get it done (there's always things outside our control, like weather) but he was pretty sure he could knock it out in that time frame. This was key. I know what I want when I'm buying something and after just interacting with him at that meeting I had a level of confidence. I gave him a go and wrote a check right there to secure the time frame. No, I didn't shop out his price to five other contractors and try to beat him down. I'll take value, skill, relationship and professionalism over "lowest bid" every time. The communication and execution was seamless. Some minor changes in the schedule (actually compressing) had me nervous but he was more than willing to give me the time I needed to get 'my' portion of the work done without pressure. They showed up every time they were scheduled, and performed the scheduled work without drama or incident. They were respectful of me, my time, and my neighbors. The work is beautiful, and more-over, was executed well within the time frame I was seeking. He answered every question I had and performed all the work himself (with his crew). I was pleased that I could approach English speaking tradesmen that could answer my specific questions and inquiries. There was a very small aesthetic flaw in the finish of the concrete for which Luke pointed out himself and corrected it. Love it! I actually got more 'value' than I requested, that is, more concrete than we agreed on...!!! In closing, Luke and Tucker Concrete will have any and all concrete projects that I have coming up, not to mention I will refer him to anyone I know looking to have concrete work done! In addition to being a stand up guy, skilled tradesmen, good businessman and likable, Luke is a patriot and true American and it's been my pleasure to have met him and his family! After being screwed around with many flakes and just utterly crappy workmanship in the Treasure Valley, I told Luke "you've restored my faith in local contractors"

This was my second job with Paul Tucker Concrete. Luke his son is assuming the business and all my dealings were with him. I was very impressed with Luke's earlier work in April 2014 that I had him come back to do this current job in October 2014. Again I was more than pleased. Luke is involved from start to finish. He gives a very accurate and fair estimate and meets the timelines he gives. He is very reliable and I have complete trust in the work that he does. He is a perfectionist and makes sure the work is done properly. The quality of his work is industry standard and he does not cut any corners on his workmanship. I appreciate his work ethic, and I have paid even above the estimate when I saw that there were additional time issues due to very rocky soil that he was not aware of at the time of the estimate. Luke did not ask for anything above the estimate but because of his fairness in the estimate I wanted to be fair in return. The cement work looks great and I am very happy with his work. I have another small cement project that I need to have do, and I will be calling Tucker Concrete.

He didn't get back to me right away because he was up on the mountain hunting when I first called but when he got back down from the mountain, I called and he took care of business right away and fit us in in a very reasonable time. It was very good quality. We didn't get competing bids so we don't know but we were happy with it. They were flexible. We wanted to put some leaves design into the concrete and they helped us make that come out right. They didn't charge extra for that. They were friendly. They made sure to ask if we had the septic system in that property and they made sure to ask where that was before I have even thought of that so they wouldn't be driving the concrete truck on top of the septic system.
Description of Work: We used Paul Tucker Concrete. They repaired a concrete stair job and poured an additional set of stairs.

I was here up to the truck coming here. Everything went very well. They were fast and did a good job. They included their costs with the other company. I would be perfectly comfortable in giving them a high grade.

Luke came out and looked at our site. He gave us a price to bring in fill dirt and level off our site, then pour a concrete pad to build our shop on, and then finally pour a concrete approach to the shop. All work was done on time. He even came when the builders were here to make sure everything was good with the slab. The builders could not stop talking about how nice it was. Luke showed up every time he said he was going to and cleaned up before he left. We would definately recommend him to anyone with concrete work!
Description of Work: They poured a concrete slab for a detached garage and driveway.
