Description of Work: Rain proof did the full tear off of the shake roof; redecked the roof (had been skip sheeted) and installed the asphalt shingles. They also did a very good job with metal valleys; ice and water dam on the eves, and upgraded under layment everywhere else. Clean up was on the button every day.

I contacted 4 top rated roofers from Angie's List. The estimates were all close (with in $1000 of each other) so the difference was in the details. Further conversations with each vendor lead me to discount their proposals. One vendor would not sheet the attic space to collect the dirt and debris that would fall through the skip sheeting with out payment of $5000 more. One vendor offered to place hidden valleys-no metal in the valley -just shingles. One vendor offered metal valleys but only for a higher grade shingles. Rain Proof owner, Paul Sulik, and I discussed his proposal and I was able to negotiate a small decrease in the bid. We spent time going over the color of the shingles to match the house as well as the various grades of asphalt shingles. I have installed many wooden shingle roofs and asked questions that didn't surprise Paul but few clients asked such questions. Paul was on the job every day and usually with his son and a crew of 7-8 during tear off and with just a few men to finish the work. Paul is meticulous. His crew is meticulous and the work is perfect. There was a minor follow up that was handled promptly by Paul himself. This was an excellent experience. Paul is a very upright guy. Forthright and honest. He cuts no corners and spends time thinking through problems such as a portion of our roof with a large flat collection area in it. His warranty goes longer than that of the shingles. It is a warranty that is as good as we own out home.
Description of Work: Rain Proof removed the shake roof (6600sq ft) decked the skip sheeted existing roof (normal for a shake roof to be like that) and installed a 30 year architectural grade asphalt shingle. Full clean up daily; new drip edge; new vents and stacks painted to match the roof; supplied all the material and hauled off 4 very large loads of debris. Dragged a large magnet over the entire lawn to gather any droppings of staple or nails. Swept everything all the time.

They are fabulous roofers. They didn't put a whole new roof but their prices are pretty reasonable. My overall experience with them has been excellent.
Description of Work: I used Rain Proof Roofing LLC for their roofing services.

Paul Sulik is the guy's name. The price was one of the few things that my general contractor did so if I comment on their pricing it's not really fair because I did not negotiate for that price. It was about $10000.00. My general comment would be that they are professional and do a quality job. They seem to very much care about the work that they do. They don't return emails within a month, but they do eventually. If I call them, they respond immediately. If the price is right, I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Rain Proof Roofing put on a new metal roof on a brand new house in January of this year.

They stripped the old shingles off and hauled off all the mess. They were very tidy. They even touched up paint where the thicker shigles took up more depth. Then they painted the exhaust pipe for the furnace to match all the new vents. They did a very professional job. They always let us know what they were going to do next. These are the guys to call..
Description of Work: We had a shake roof that was 23 years old, dry, and needing attention. Paul came out gave us a bid and they got right on the job. They estimated it would take 5 days and that is what it took. There was no worry, no mess. They did what they said they were gonna do. We couldn't be more pleased.
