Response from Moore's Painting
In response to this one sided and truly undeserving report by this client and her realtor’s review below. I am truly offended. This clients Realtor who seemed to be more concerned about her commission than painting in the rain. We have been experiencing a lot of rain this particular week here in the treasure Valley. This client hired me to paint the back side of their home do to the selling terms. When this client called to schedule, I told them I was working in Boise the rest of the week and would try and get to them the beginning of the next week "weather providing". We started getting showers from the 12th and on as anyone knows. I am honest and hardworking and I really care about my jobs and my clients. This client’s realtor called me the morning of the 20th and wanted to know when I was going to paint that house. I tried to explain "weather providing" it was raining then. She kept saying "do you hear what I'm saying" it has to be done by Tuesday the 26th for closure. I suggested an addendum for weather. She said no. Lenders won't do that. I suggested that present homeowners could possibly give check and paint bid to new home owners and I would honor it. I explained that when I do a job, I am basically married to that job. I said if it quit raining, I could do it. If not, I would not spray paint if conditions were not right. She got frustrated and said it had to be done. Yes, I told her to find new painters and yes, I finally hung up on her because I do not get into confrontations with people who have no interest other than monetary. The home owner and her realtor did not care about what happened to the paint job on the home once the home was sold but I do. My name is attached to that paint job along with my warranty. I am very sorry I did not call you after the confrontation with your realtor. I was very upset with her and knew you would be her next call. This could have been avoided if your realtor had not called and demanded I paint in the rain. I was very disappointed in her professionalism and unimpressed with her true people skills. I would never recommend her to any of my clients. I have completed a lot of work off of Angie's List and have never had this problem before. " When I paint, I do it to last not just to sale.” My clients are all happy and repeat customers. Price was never a factor. It was never discussed after the bid was given. I never spoke with you after you scheduled and price didn’t come up at that time either. Your realtor tried to say that I did not want to do the job because I gave you such a good price. That is incorrect information. I told her the job could end up costing me double if I painted in the rain and the paint washed off. I told her it had nothing to do with the price and all to do with the rain. So please do not accuse me of something that was never said and just something your realtor made up, that was an unfair statement. My customers know that I give them fair prices and always stand by them. If your realtor would have been more patient, the house would have been painted on time. Again, I am sorry, truly sorry for not contacting you to let you how your realtor treated me and that I pulled away from the job. That was un-professional on my part. And one more thing. Eleven days went by almost two weeks before you scheduled. That took eleven days from twenty five days for the job to be done. Today, 5/21/15 it was perfect weather most of the day and about 3:30 pm had another big rain storm. It's Idaho, the weather rules. Ezra L. Moore, Jr., Owner
