I felt like I was being scammed. The guy was a pretty fast talker. He came in and we had some water damage in our basement. We weren't sure what was going on yet but we had wet carpet and wet walls in one of the rooms. The wet carpet needed to come out. He went down to look and said, oh I just happen to be a certified person for mold and restoration. I have since looked him up and have found no record of his company or credentials. I had asked him for a written estimate several times and he has yet to get us one. That night I asked if you could just get the carpet out what would he charge. He called a couple of guys and they pulled the carpet out and left it in the backyard. They left some big industrial fans down there.

I found them in the newspaper ads for services after the job was refused by Angie's List providers. They responded promptly by phone and came by to check out the job and give a rough estimate that evening, even though it was raining pretty hard. They got the job done quickly and well. I think our yard had been a dumping ground for trash and tires for the 3 years the house was not occupied. They missed a few tires , etc, but they were slightly removed from the main areas and I hadnt seen them either. The cost was high mainly affected by the disposal expense and number of tires.
