Greg's son and a couple of friends came out to the house for the first few days by themselves to do all of the prep work. They did more than what I would have ever thought to do prepping: screwed in loose siding, caulked EVERYTHING, sanded, primed, etc. When Greg got to the house, we even discussed the fact that the second story siding came down flush with the roof (it needs to be cut up away from the roof with the flashing showing a bit); he fixed this issue without a change to the labor cost. Greg and the boys went above and beyond in the preparation of the house, for sure. Then the painting. Greg had multiple samples for me to choose from. In hindsight, I wish I had gone with a bit different color, but I am satisfied with the results nonetheless. The painting took about two days (except for a couple hiccups in tools). Greg had a couple family emergencies during the process and was good at letting me know when he would be missing. They don't show up very early in the morning (I expected them earlier every day), but they get the job done!

I called Greg to begin conversations on a job. When I first contacted him on 6/28/12, he was in the middle of a job and asked me to call back the following morning between 9 - 10a. I called at approx. 9:10a, leaving a follow up voice mail message with additional details on my needs, along with my cell number. His voice mail message clearly identified that I had the correct individual. I never received a return call. .I'm obviously not impressed with his customer service and will not call him again or use his services, if perhaps he does call over 30 days later

If you want your home painted, this is the guy to use. But be patient, because he books up quickly and you will very likely have to wait to get on his schedule. Believe me, though, the wait is well worth it! Greg helped me select colors, gladly tried several sample swatches on my house, and transformed the look of my home completely into something very classy and beautiful. He and the men who work with him caulked every seam, repaired every flaw, and even cleaned my gutters. They were very respectful of my and the property, worked especially hard to clean up each day so as not to leave a "work in progress look," and responded quickly to my requests. I had several bids, and Greg came in exactly on budget. I had no surprises about the cost at all. I am recommending him to all my friends and neighbors!

Working with Greg was great. He was punctual, professional and very detail oriented. His completed work looked great and we would definately call him in the future to do more work.

All these fantastic reviews are well deserved. If you need your house painted, want to be happy with the results and expect the highest regard for your property, Greg is your man. Came on time, did great work. That is all I care about

I used them because they had good reviews on Angie’s List. The job went beautifully. They even repaired a couple of things that were broken on the wall. They did a good job. Their service and clean up was good but the only trouble we had was, they came when they said they would but in advance when we were scheduling it because we were trying to co-ordinate the house cleaning, painting and everything, they were a little hard to get hold of. I would use their services again in the future.

Greg's estimate was by far the cheapest of the painters I called. He painted a guest room with two different colors as well as crown molding. He made multiple trips to the store to get a perfect color match for our trim. He took his time and took extra steps for very clean lines. He even did some minor wall repair and caulked a chair rail to make things look great. I was very impressed with his work and will definitely be having him paint again in the future.

Overall, my experience was very positive. It took a little longer than anticipated because Greg was unable to get any help, so it was strictly a solo performance. But he handled it professionally and provided lots of extra help in making paint choices and planning the general atmosphere I was looking for. He is approachable and patient--he didn't make me feel pressured to decide (I wanted my daughter to see the samples, etc.) and put up with my decision to change a color after he had started. I highly recommend him and will call him again myself for sure. He may be hard to get during the winter months because he heads down to NV, but he would be worth waiting for!

He closed off the areas he worked so there was no plaster dust around the house. Nothing to clean up when he left. He was very quiet, curteous and friendly. My office is in my home so it was critical he respected my need for quiet and privacy. He completed the work three days after biding it and charged what he bid. I'd use him again.

Greg Royce did an excellent job patching my drywall. He kept me informed about running late on another job, and when I could expect him. I repainted my wall the next morning, and it shows no indication that it has been patched. I would use him again for home repair jobs beyond my skill level.

Greg Royce's attention to detail was excellent! The prep was of particular concern to me since the painting is no better than the initial preparation. The thoroughness and professional quality of the preparation was the best I have ever seen. Greg was here with his two man crew on the agreed upon date and showed up bright and early each day until the job was complete. We are completely satisfied and the house came out beautiful. I would recommend him without hesitation. He is a true professional who goes the extra mile!

Greg did a great job on my house. I called Greg because of the review on Angie's List describing his attention to detail on prep work. I left a message for Greg to get an estimate and he promptly called back and met me within a day to give me an estimate. His estimate was approximately $400 less than other estimates I got and he quoted me on labor and materials. Greg wasn't able to start right away due to the weather, but after 3-4 weeks he gave me a call and let me know exactly when he would begin working and he stuck to his original bid. He, and his son, arrived promptly on the day that he said he would and started prep work immediately. I asked Greg for help in choosing my paint colors and he put several color samples on the house and gave me many suggestions on what he thought about the colors. He also gave me suggestions on other improvements like removing the shutters to make the house look a little bigger (I live in a small Northend house). Greg and his son spent about a 4-5 days on prep work and 2 days on painting and I am extremely satisfied with the finished product. He kept me updated on the progress each day either by text message or calling my cell phone. Once it was time for payment, he had copies of all receipts and left the extra paint with me for any touch ups or other things that might be needed. I have a chimney that needs improvement and he said he'd get me in touch with a mason as well. In all, I'm very satisfied with his work, punctuality, and communication.

We purchased a door, and I thought it would be a simple task to paint it. It probably would have gone okay, except I got impatient and, after 4 coats of rolled-on paint with sanding in between, decided to get high-gloss spray paint. That, of course, didn't work at all and looked terrible. I called Greg and explained the problem, and he came out and painted it for me. He had to dremel-sand through all the layers I had put on, but the result was very good. I had the door on sawhorses on the porch, so he was able to come over and do the work while I was at work, and when I got home he stopped by to make sure I was satisfied with the job. He was very easy to work with, and even gave me some tips for finishing our living room remodel.

I believe it was in early April that we found Greg's listing on Angie's List and called him. I think it was the very next day that he stopped by in the evening to get an idea for the scope of work. It was a very late spring with lots of rainy weather and some snow, so we were all in agreement that there was no hurry and work could begin as soon as the weather began to cooperate. Within a couple of weeks, we got an estimate via email and gave him the green light to get started as the weather improved. Within a couple more weeks, the weather did improve and Greg and his son got to work. Greg is a very friendly guy and was always willing to stop and talk at length about the job or anything else. I really appreciated Greg's personal touch. I had been considering hiring College Painters to do the job beforehand, and I'm glad I changed my mind about that. I feel that we got a high quality paint job at a reasonable price. Greg's bid was $2250 for the exterior work and $840 for the interior garage finish. Our house is 1.5 story, 2600 square foot with a 3-car garage. I think the final total was somewhere around $25 under budget. Thank you very much, Greg!

Greg came out and gave his initial exterior painting estimate in much more detail than any other company that we had come out to give us a bid. He walked me through exactly what needed to be done in some problem areas/wear-and-tear in the siding and trim and explained what he would do to fix them during his prep work. We also asked to have a very weather damaged front door sanded down and painted to match the paint job, an old satellite dish removed from our wood shingled roof, and on top of that I also had asked him to give us an estimate for taking down a small fence we had and re-building one further up on our property line which was longer in size and included a large gate. The total price that he gave us was about a hundred dollars more then the other companies that came to bid/just wanted to drive by and give us a bid, and none of the other companies included fixing the fence or taking the time for the front door just the exterior painting. Due to the lovely rainy Spring weather Boise was having in May the painting couldn't start right away, Greg did however come out and tear down the fence and rebuild one with a gate while the weather was poor so that we had it completed (he even was kind enough to go back and take the hardware off the gate that I originally wanted and put in a hidden gate opener on the back side of it instead). During his prep work on the house (which he spent a couple days on and was very particular about) he even went thru and filled in where our siding met the trim with caulking so that it gave the house a lot more finished appearance and should aid in keeping bugs out, this was a nice touch and really showed the attention to detail that Greg has. For the paint, we wanted a three tone paint job done on the house, yet we were having difficultly determining a brown that went well with the other two colors. Greg was very helpful in painting many different tester colors in various places around the house so we'd get an idea of what it looked like and he even suggested a brown color that he already had a sample of which we ultimately decided with and absolutely love. The front door that he re-sanded turned out amazing is now one of our favorite parts of the new house. An extra touch he did which wasn't discussed during our initial walk thru, was that after Greg was done painting our house he went up on the roof and painted all our old and chipped metal vent piping the dark brown which we used for our trim. This detail made such a huge difference in the finished product and really brought the house together. We love our newly painted home and have gotten multiple compliments on it from the neighbors already. We enjoyed working with Greg so much that we plan on having him come back in the Fall to refinish/epoxy our garage floor.

Greg is professional, courteous - ontime and on budget. We like the way he respects our property and cleans up after himself. These were several jobs over several days with finish date of 3/10/2011. He helped us pick out paint colors (and he's got a much better eye than we do!), suggested a "fix" for the garage door location that we had not even considered, and worked reliably and consistently throughout the several handyman projects he did. When he was finished with each job, he cleaned up, communicated what he'd done, provided the written receipt, and scheduled the next project. He was delayed once, but he immediately called and kept us apprised of the change in time and did not leave us hanging. We really like his work and his approach. He's fair and he's above all - competent!

Greg once again did a fantastic job. He's very meticulous about his prep work and that ensures his excellent results. He made our 25-year old doors look fresh and new. He also once again gave us good tips about how to make the end result even better than we had hoped. For example, he suggested replacing the old painted-over hinges with shiny new hinges, a very inexpensive step that we wouldn't have thought of but that made a huge difference in the final look of the doors.

Greg allowed me to test lots of samples before doing the actual painting, in fact he encouraged it. Even after all the sampling when a color didn't work he repainted it. He would even point out when he didn't think a color was working. Greg doesn't just paint, he repairs and caulks where needed which provides a very professional finish. We added many extra projects as we went along which he willingly completed. This included patching and painting the closets after shelving was changed or replaced, hanging wall fixtures, changing a ceiling fan, and some things that I can't even remember now. I would recommend Greg to anyone and I have done so as a matter of fact.

We hired Greg to paint our home, we have a large house and plan on staying for a long time. Although price was very important to us, value was more important, we wanted the job done right. I watched Greg work over the course of our project and sadly to say, I just don't see quality like that any more. Every detail was completed to the highest standards. Our house turned out wonderful and we know that this will look good and protect our home for years. It's been over a month since Greg completed our job (on time) and we still can't find a flaw, the caulking job has reaaly tightened up our home and we have not seen any spyders inside. I would recommend Greg to anyone (except my x-wife). Greg, if you read this, thank you for such a great job!!!

Contacted Greg and received his bid which was agreed upon to paint our 6 year old home. We moved into our home in June of 2009 and after living here for a year we decided to have a quality paint job done since the builder's paint job was less than adequate. The house is painted using a three color paint scheme and we only had one of the three colors that we knew the manufacturer and color name and that was for the gable ends. Greg was able to match the base perfectly and he actually came up with a trim color that was close to the original but one we liked even better without really changing the color scheme of the home which we liked. Greg uses only quality materials such as Behr paint but where Greg truly shines is in his prep work which is without compromise. Greg is the king of caulking and he caulks in places I never even thought of caulking like on the ends of the corner trim boards, I have never seen this done before. Greg does not just caulk things either but properly applies the caulking so it looks good, not everyone does this. I knew after the first day of watching Greg I had chosen the right company to paint our home. Greg had a helper for only the first day then his helper left and went off to college which was just a minor inconvenience for Greg he plugged right along doing all the work himself. When something came up like adding the second coat to the exterior of the fence which was not originally discussed Greg without hesitation said no problem. He also took the house numbers and repainted them. Greg is very careful about masking off all windows, covering plants and any other items that you would not want painted. He is good at picking up his mess at the end of each day and if he is going to leave his equipment behind he is sure to ask if it is okay. We are extremely happy with the job Greg did painting our home and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality job at what we felt was a very reasonable price. Besides that you will meet one heck of a nice guy with great customer appeal. When Greg was done with the job my wife and I missed him not being here everyday. Too bad the paint job he did will last so long.

Greg did an exceptional job of the painting of our house both inside and out. Greg is very easy to work with and he goes over and above when doing a job. I Would highly recommend him for any painting needs.

Greg has a consistent eye for detail and clean lines. He did use one assistant, Joshua, but only for the work Greg directed and also inspected and approved. Greg did the job in less than 2 days just as he projected. His work was reliable, professional and he did a nice job of clean-up. His respect for our property and his honesty were refreshing and appreciated. The fact the job came in as bid and on time were pluses. We would recommend Greg without any qualm or hesitancy.
