We hired Merry Maids to do a “deep clean” because we are putting our house on the market. The two ladies that came were very friendly. One of my special requests was to degrease the kitchen cabinets above the stove. While the cabinets are clean, the cabinet knobs were not cleaned and are still greasy/sticky. My other special request was that the patio door tracks be cleaned. It looks like these tracks were never touched. All hard flooring was to be washed. We had noticed before the cleaning that there was a dried spot of spilled soda on the dining room floor. That spot was still there after they left. I know they cleaned some of my hard flooring but since over half of my house is hard flooring, maybe they felt they couldn’t mop all of it. After spending over $800, we thought the house would be “clean” and we planned on having them come back 2 more times; once right before the open house and once to do a move out cleaning. Nope, we will be doing the subsequent cleanings ourselves.

I liked them a lot. They were great. I ended up hiring someone else who I thought did a little bit better of a job. But Merry Maids did a good job overall on basic housecleaning.

I've been stewing about this for some time, but I've finally come to the conclusion that I was ripped off. The job was done so poorly that I ended up canceling my service after the very first cleaning - the one that was supposed to make me say "WOW." Where do I start? So many things were either done poorly or not at all. Even worse than the cleaning was the fact that they let my cat in the house while we were away for several days, even though they were told to leave the cat outside - that's where the food, water, and litter box was! The cat was locked inside without any food, water, or litter box. That broke my heart! As for the cleaning, well, the furniture was not put back in place, the baseboards and door frames were still covered with dust, the edges of the carpet were not cleaned, the window sills were left covered with cobwebs and dust, the hanging light fixtures were still covered in cobwebs, the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen were left covered with streaks of whatever they used to clean, the blinds were not dusted, most of the house was not dusted, most of the light fixtures were not cleaned, the doors were still dusty and covered with finger prints, the shower was still moldy and full of soap scum, soap dishes were not cleaned, and lights were left on for three days. There was much more that was missed, but there's just not enough room to write it all. When I called the office and spoke to someone named Tammy, she showed no concern and only said something like, "well, the girls were in there for three hours." in a tone that really said why are you complaining. Can you believe that???? The next person I spoke to was the assistant manager, don't recall her name, but she was equally useless/helpless. The best thing she could do was tell me that she'd have the sales person, I think her name was Jone, call me back. What can the sales person do that the assistant manager can't do??? Passing the buck, I guess. Anyway, Jone finally got me in touch with someone who cared and could help, the manager of the office. He was very nice, understanding, and helpful - he even came out to help with the re-clean and ensure all was done correctly. Unfortunately, by the time I was able to get in touch with someone who could help me it was too late - the poor quality of the cleaning and the lack of help from the office staff had already made me decide to never use Merry Maids again.

CUSTOMER PAID $365 FOR A FIRST TIME CLEANING. CUSTOMER SPECIFIED THAT WE WERE TO USE HER EQUIPMENT (CENTRAL VAC). CUSTOMER ALSO STATED FOR US TO NOT DO THE KITCHEN, AND TO ONLY DUST THE TABLE IN THE DINING ROOM. CUSTOMER IS UPSET THAT KITCHEN NOT DONE, WHEN INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVE NOT TO DO KITCHEN. CUSTOMER ALSO REQUESTED FOR US TO ONLY USE WATER ON FLOORS, WHICH WILL NOT DO A SUFFICIENT CLEANING.

The cleanings were terrible. They had to come out and clean entire rooms that were missed after every cleaning. They started us out with a low rate then raised it after the second cleaning, however, we still received the same horrible cleanings. The office staff who I spoke with on several occasions (Roxanne and Tami) were very rude, condescending, and lacked even the most basic of customer service skills. The only positive experience we had was with the sales lady who was always very helpful. She was also the only one who ever tried to remedy our complaints with their service. As for the office staff, Tami had only one line that she repeated over and over, "The girls spent more time in your house than you pay for." I was shocked to hear this! Talking to Roxanne was no better as she would only tell me that she'd have the sales lady call me back. The last time I spoke to Roxanne about another cleaning issue and demanded that she come out and inspect the cleaning, she refused!

Fantastic! The maids were professional, polite, and did their job with great enthusiasm. They were prompt and did everything I asked for and didn't forget a thing. My house has never been this clean. Great work!
