Description of Work: I've used Marv's twice this spring. 1st to insulate a high bay shop ceiling with batts. 2nd to insulate an attic floor over a garage with blow in. |It went very well. Quick, clean and well done. Pricing was very close to the least expensive here, but definitely worth the small extra. Marv bid the jobs, and showed up to set up the more complicated one. |Very happy.

Description of Work: Finish insulation on shop building. Visqueen areas exposed and cover ceiling areas with white fire retardant plastic sheeting. They did a nice neat job and Marv himself showed up to finish with his crew.

Description of Work: Marv gave me an excellent price and completed job as expected. He gave us a segmented bid so we can do insulation in stages as our remodel progresses. First phase was to insulate walls prior to drywall and he sealed up all the cracks and holes in our 60 year old house. Next we plan to have him come back to blow in some additional insulation in the attic. Excellent work.

Most building contractors put just enough insulation in to get by, and our house was no exception. Marv fixed that. Well worth the mone.

+ -1 moreThe techs arrived right on time and even did the extra step of elevating inside-attic TV antennae off the attic floor on fiberglass blocks to that they remained above the new loose material. TV reception stayed perfect. One downside was that the techs did not bring any paperwork with them so that I couldn't pay them on the spot. Marv himself came out a few days later to handle the invoicing/payment/paperwork I needed for followup with Idaho Power as Idaho Power is currently sponsoring an insulation rebate program.
Description of Work: Mar'v Insulation sent 2 young men to blow loose fiberglass insulation into my attic to raise its R-value from R-25 to R-50. They used a company truck built for the purpose. One fellow fed bags of insulation material into a hopper that loosened and blew the material through an accordion hose to a second fellow waiting to aim and spread the new stuff throughout the attic on top of the existing insulation. This second fellow also nailed baffles in front of the inner attic vents and wore goggles and a mask as he worked. From start to finish the process took 1 1/2 hours.

I explained we are kind of picky and what we expected in the manner with which our home was treated - carpet protectors laid down, all fibers and debris picked up and vacuumed, on-time and respectful staff with no loud music, no pets, etc. They did all that, plus their senior estimator made it a point of coming over before any work began, laid out the work for the entire crew, made sure everyone and everything was on schedule and working properly, and even came back and made doubly sure the work was completed with his personal inspection and discussed results with us. Wow! Real professionalism. They even gave us information about a rebate program with Idaho Power - we got the tax credit PLUS a rebate. What a Deal!
Description of Work: Entire home - floor insulation installed at 10.5" open faced bats to R30 rating. Included labor installation and access to crawl space and attic in home. Additional attic blow-in to R50 upgraded rating. Home included 1580 sq. feet of floor - single story with attic access in garage. Crawl space was about 3 feet deep, but in a couple places some tight fits to get the insulation in.
