BJ at Evenflo was referred to me by a friend who had used his service in the past. BJ was very responsive and competitively priced. He installed the new furnace within 2 business days on short notice. I was very pleased with Evenflo.

I think they do good work, but BJ (owner) is slow to communicate, and sometimes doesn't call back at all. (I've used him in the past). They also did not wire my A/C back properly, so when I went to use A/C this summer, it didn't operate. I'd used someone else to find out what was wrong, and they were the ones whom made the discovery. I wound up paying like $90 for that service call, which was due to the mishap with Evenflo, but didn't make a deal about it, just figured I'd call Evenflo the next time I needed service, and let him know what happened, saved my receipt, etc. I just got off the phone with BJ, and he said he can't do anything about it, since I waited to report this. To me, it really shouldn't matter. If you do a service and make a mistake, you should make good on it. He could have easily offered to just credit me for my next service, but he seemed disinterested in even making an appointment with me, even though I was polite in my inquiry. I wouldn't use his services again, since I don't agree with his policies.
Description of Work: Replaced my furnace. Furnace cost covered by home warranty policy, installation covered by me. Work done last year this time.

We strive to offer quality service to all of our customers. It was very hard to make appts to do the work and get the local inspector out to inspect the job. I was not made aware of any issues with the A/C unit until 6 months after the furnace was installed. Jean told me about the issue after she had it repaired 6 months later. She then asked me to come out and take a look and repair some ductwork for free in exchange for the repair made by someone else. I cannot do other non related work at no charge for a service call that was needed 6 months prior to being notified. We stand behind our work 110% and would have gladly fixed any issue at no charge if it was brought to my attention and was related to the furnace installation. All work was done through a home warranty company and unfortunately I do have some constraints in my contract with them, however I do not let that limit my quality or level of service.

They answered the call and were very courteous. They said there was one job ahead of us but they would be there in about an hour. They came ahead of schedule and went right to work on the problem. After it was fixed, they explained the problem and solution and even provided a senior discount. We could not be happier with their service and professionalism in a crisis situation- due to the extreme temperatures and a 90+ year old senior in the house. We will definitely use again.
Description of Work: They were called on a Sunday evening and asked to fix an air conditioner that had failed in the 104 degree heat. They responded in a timely manner and fixed the problem.

BJ Kerwin, owner of Evenflo is simply the best. His quality of work is outstanding and professional. And he not only is extremely competent in all he does, he is inventive and when confronted with a challenge can and quot;think outside the boxand quot; to solve the issue. He is punctual, polite and a real delight to work with. I'll never use another HVAC in Boise!

Description of Work: We have an issue with our Heating and AC. They came out looked at our water heat source. We have ageothermal heat/cooling system. They said all was working properly and to just leave it on, change our thermostate to a new one and to change our filters. In short they could not find anything wrong and then the same day after they left we still had issues with our AC. We called them and they informed us they would charge us to come out again. Not professional, Not knowledgable and Not to be used again.

I am very sorry to hear about this from a review . It is of utmost importance that are customers are 100 % satisfied. At the time of the inspection the system was working properly, and cooling with a discharge temp of 56 degrees. The homeowner ( the husband , the wife was not present) stated that they were having somebody out to clean the pond where the water comes from. It is this pond that the water is used for this system. This may have had an adverse effect on the system. The system was over 20 years old , I made this known to the homeowner. I was willing to come back out free of charge ,but was declined. We always give a 30 day warranty on any repairs that we do. There were no repairs made in this case but we were willing to come back out free of charge to address any concerns. We had spent over an hour going over the system and the thermostat with the homeowner. The customer was never charged a dime ,even for the original service /consultation.

Very courteous and professional, excellent workmanship.
Description of Work: BJ inspected the system, provided a written bid through email, and performed the work as specified. Replaced the electric furnace, including foundation supports, a new plenum, and sealing and insulating.
