Rocky was awesome to deal with. He knows his stuff, and as a result our home has never been more comfortable! 5/5 stars, would strongly recommend!
Description of Work: Our heater was not working. Other company said it would be a very expensive repair. Rocky was in and out in a few hours, and most of that was some very educational conversations regarding our heating and air conditioning.

I called Butler because my A/C had gone out overnight on one of the hottest days of the year. I told them my dad was with me and he was on oxygen and was not well. They were out there within one hour and had my A/C fixed in the next couple of hours. The owner himself left what he was doing to come out. I was very grateful.

This year they came for their yearly servicing of my furnace. They suggested I get the furnace replaced ASAP and gave me a bid for installing a new furnace. Coincidentally I have been thinking of getting a new gas dryer and asked them to give me a bid in extending a gas pipe 20 ft. to my laundry room. They gave me both bids and I told them I would need to give this matter some thought. As a smart consumer I had two other companies come in and also give me bids. Butler came in much higher than all other bids. To extend the gas line the estimated a cost of $733.00, I got it done for$ 290.00. I had my furnace replaced for approx 600.00 less than their bid. One other thing that sat wrong with me was this past year I noticed that I had accidentally payed twice for their $129.00 yearly service contract. They never contacted me but when I realized this on my own and called them the person who answered told me that the girl who takes care of finances was not there and she would call me back tomorrow. Well she never did and I also forgot until approx a month later and decided to call them again. This time she was there and told me she has made a note that now I have three yearly service calls left. I told her according to my calculations I should still have all four left. She told me when they came to fix my leak in my air conditioner I used one up. I reminded her that when you are on a service program as I was, service calls are free and you just pay for parts and labor. So I should still have four left, She argued with me and I just gave up. And asked for a refund on the extra service contract. Subsequently I asked the other companies who came to give bids for a quick quote on how much they would charge to replaced the pump that Butler installed this past summer and showed them the work they did but never told them how much they charged me. Both companies told me that this repair should be under $100.00. Much less than the $400.00 plus Butler charged me.
Description of Work: I have actually been working with Butler Heating and Cooling for the past 6 years and have been on a yearly service contract with them for that time. The last couple of years I have been less than happy with the service they provided. It seemed that every time they came there was something new that needed to be fixed. I would always have the service done because I trusted them. This past summer there was some water leaking and they told me I need a new condensation pump. Tthey charged me over 400.00 dollars to instal the new pump. The problem was not fixed and that evening it continued to leak. They came back and said there was a clog in one of the pipes and then fixed that for an additional 50 dollars. This led be to question if the pump truly needed to be replaced in the first place.

I received a recomendation from my plumber during a remodel on our home to use Butler Heating for an install on a new furnace, domestic hot water and air conditioning system. we wanted to use a boiler system for the heating and hot water portion and they so happened to install these systems. They said it was the "Cadillac of heating" and it was about $2,000 more than the highest bid, however it provided endless hot water so we accepted their bid, especially with such a high recomendation from the plumber. The install was hectic, the tech bidding the project under estimated the space. On the day of the install the owner, Jamie Butler, announced they would need twice the space allowed on the blueprints, I was disappointed and frustrated since it would eat up half the master bedroom closet. Mr. Butler threatened to walk off the project so I conceded to the change, I wish now that I had let him walk! Every winter when the furnace starts up I have an issue with air in the system which throws the boiler into lock out, which shuts down all heat and hot water and requires a service call $85-$200 depending on how long it takes to force the air pocket out of the system. This process usually requires more than one service call. I can't leave my house durring the winter because my system is unreliable. This year I had a factory rep look at the system, no surprise it was installed incorrectly. I tried to explain this to Mr. Butler and to his credit he installed an air release valve, but I still get air in the system and my boiler still goes into lockout. The state and the county have flagged the systems,Mr. Butler is aware of this and does nothing. He is a difficult person to work with at best. The repairs to get the system working properly will be $3,200-$4,300.

They are great and so was the experience. I like the company. When I bought the house, they came in the middle of the night when the furnace went out, and didn’t rip me off. I have a contract with them to take care of my furnace and air conditioning.
Description of Work: I use Butler Heating & Air Conditioning and the last time they did a checkup on my air conditioning, in the spring.
