He did a good job excavating. When the foundation guys came out, there were no problems with the trenches being too shallow or crooked. It was a complicated job because our property is sloped so it required three different foundation levels. Our framer said he'd never seen an excavator pack the roadmix under a concrete pad so well. Rodney said he always does it to commercial specifications, even though it's not required for residential jobs. The better the roadmix is packed, the less likely the concrete will crack.
Description of Work: Rodney excavated a foundation for a new sunroom and garage. He prepped the slabs and backfilled around the outside. He had to put road mix in under the concrete slab. He packed the roadmix down before the concrete was poured.

He had to bring in a bunch of road mix, spread it and pack it down. Then he put up the forms, poured the concrete and finished it. He had to tent it and heat it to keep it warm as it was below freezing at night. The driveway looks great! It's got a broom finish.
Description of Work: He prepped and poured a three car concrete driveway (garage apron).
