Great! Alan is the owner and the operator. He is the best in town. He is very fast and does not waste time. In and out, you'd never know he was there.

Replaced wall outlet.

This is poor professionalism and while other reviews say his workmanship may be good, it would be nice to not have wasted so much time with this company!

I initially called Hutchison Electric on 9/10/13 and immediately had an appt set for Alan to come out 9/17/13 at Noon. On Tuesday 9/17/13 Noon came and went and no word from Alan. I understand things come up and don't expect someone at noon on the dot but a call to say you're running late is not a difficult thing. I finally called Alan at 12:30 to see if he was still coming. It didn't sound like he was on the way or even remembered. He told me he was in his vehicle and could be over in a few minutes...."what's the address again?" When he was here, I got the feeling that I was wasting his time. (Mind you, I had already obtained an estimate from another company at around $6,000 so this was not a waste of time). He was very short and rude when I answered some of his questions. He's the electric professional, not me...I was looking to him for some ideas. He told me he'd get an estimate together and mail it to me. Well, here it is October 3 and I've yet to see anything.

Alan did a fantastic job. Not only was the work great quality, but he was prompt, inexpensive, flexible, and easy to work with. In addition, he recommended practical solutions and the basement was a huge selling point when we sold the house. He pointed out that we probably needed a light in the stairway because it would be dark when it was finished. He was absolutely right and probably saved us a couple of hundred dollars putting it in later.

I lost part of a circuit in my house - not a circuit breaker so time for a professional. I used Angie's list to find Alan and he said he would come round at a specific time later. Alan figured out and fixed my problem.

If you're looking for an honest electrician who charges a reasonable price, I would highly recommend Alan.

I called and got the voice mail at 8 am. I receieved a call back within 15-20 minutes. He was here within another 20 minutes. I explained the problem, he checked the outlets then looked downstairs where he found the simple problem. He showed me the problem and fixed it. I have an older home so the wiring is older. He did not try to tell me the wiring was out of code or try and sell me anything I didn't need. I couldn't be more happy with the overall experience.

Treated me well, got the work done. Fair price. I will use again.

I needed a lot of clean power for my computers. Alan Swanson performed a quick clean installation exactly as expected. Alan has done electrical work for me and my siblings for 30 years. He's a brilliant electrician and won't talk your ears off.
