Initial contact by telephone to arrange estimate. Doug (owner) arrived at appointed time for the estimate. Very chatty, experienced, and helpful - was very willing to answer our questions about several concrete trouble spots around our house. Suggested that entryway steps were fine structurally and could just be resurfaced - a big cost savings for us. Estimate was delivered by telephone two days later; very reasonable price for the amount of work. Accepted immediately and scheduled work then. Doug and his crew arrived on time for the job (a Saturday); Doug explained exactly what would be happening and when it would be happening, then left the crew to work. The crew were quite friendly and efficient - the demolition took only a couple of hours and they then started on the resurfacing. They noted that the resurfacing compound that they had been provided was a new mix and they were uncertain whether it would be up to their standards or not. Turned out to not meet their standards; after covering about one-fourth of the surface, they removed the applied compound and left to procure their normal resurfacing compound. As it was late afternoon at this point, there was not sufficient time to complete the resurfacing that day. To my surprise, they reappeared Sunday morning and resurfaced the entryway steps. The crew returned Monday morning to set up the molds and pour the sidewalk. Again, very efficient and professional. One interesting note - one of the crew members was quite irritated with the concrete supplier for cleaning the chute in the gutter in front of our house. He asked to borrow our hose to clean this up, then proceeded to shovel up the debris and hose clean the gutters. The new sidewalk has been wonderful - level, appropriately graded, and well done. The resurfaced steps look better than new. An excellent overall experience - we would happily recommend them for any concrete work and will contact them when we have need of concrete work in the future.
