The quality of work that was done on my deck is awful... completely unacceptable. I have added a few pictures for reference. The deck was three feet short of the original, the screws stick up out of the decking, the dryer vent was covered up and the stairs were uneven. These are only a few of the many, many things that are NOT ok.

I would give them a negative O but they don't offer that choice. My mother of 79 has been screwed over royally. They did a horrible job on her deck. She had a city inspector come and many contractors saying they can not believe the job that was done was the worst that they have ever seen. Please don't use this company they will screw you over majorly. If I could I would give you the address so you can see for yourself. And shame on you for taking advantage of the elderly.

Definitive Landscapes was hired for 'pest control' for our home 5 miles north/east of Grangeville. We were 1 of 3-4 folks they were providing pest control service to in the area. Although we are about 75 miles from Lewiston, we do understand that this company is coming from Lewiston and we will pay for travel time. Our bill ended up being $283. Once we discussed this with them, they lowered it to $250. I'm not disputing their service -- just their bill!! We should have been told a few more specifics on travel time charges.

Contractor returned twice to glue and then mortar unstable stones. November 2014 remediation work completed.

Did not provide us a written estimate as requested. Verbal estimate very loose-$800-$1200 but actual service ended up being $1600. Charged separately for hauling clippings which should be included in services at $54 an hour. No itemized final billing. Owner came at end of job to collect payment only. Did not bring all fill rock promised after they were paid. Friendly but not terribly trustworthy, we were very disappointed since we had found them recommended on Angie's List. Have since found they are most expensive in Valley. We have ongoing landscaping, year round but will not use them again. Just terribly disappointed with whole experience. Really wanted them to work out. We are retired and on fixed income...this hurt.

I called them and was informed that the person I needed to talk to was out that day but would call me back the next day. Sean call me back the next morning and made an appointment to come down to check out the property within a day or two. We walked all over the property and discussed the situation I had and what needed to be done and what could fit within my budget and schedule. He was great with answering my questions about how to do some things which I figured I could handle like pruning roses and just general care of some of the plants as I haven't had to do this type of things for about 20 years and had forgotten alot. He must have taken an hour with me, if not more, for a job which I explained involved a limited budget. He followed up with me frequently since we had to reschedule a couple of times for various reasons but when his crew finally got here, they did a great job on the hedge and really did a fantastic job on the lawn. I couldn't believe all the dead grass and stuff they got off the lawn. They did go over my budget a bit but I saw how hard they were working so was willing to pay. We made a little payment arrangement which was mutually agreeable and definitely will call them again to do some more work. Very impressed with their effort and professionalism.
