. They were to do it during June, showed up on July 2 and July 3, did most of the work quivkly and efficiently until the end of the second day when they said they were done, leaving some painting and caulkinbg still to do/ My husband paid them, they were in a hurry to be gone for the 4th of July holiday. They said my husband could finish it.We decided that they should hae totally finished what they were hired to do. After two weeks and a few calls, one of them came back and finished the job. It turned out beautiful except for the temporary step put in. We had said to put in a step (we thought they were getting a permit and were required to put in a good step, but didn't know until the end that they hadn't gotten a permit, said unnecessary, and the step was part plain wood, part a composite mix, and put bricks to help hold the step. We had to put up with that for three months until our sons were able to come out and build a deck. They did do a beautiful job when it was done. They were also very careful to remove the window glass in one piece so we were able to use it, and save the bricks for a future project for us to do work on the chimney and match it. Their original estimate was for $1680, we did have to contact them 2 times to gett it, but then they were good to b ring it to us. It stated that if we wanted the extra security five point lock it would be $225 more. I asked if it included the door, included the vent, the outlet, etc . they said it included Everything. The first day they askedif we'd gotten a lock, so we purchased a $75 lock, thought a normal was included. Then, when they came back , they said for us to buy the paint and sent us to a place that cost $50.00 for it. I don't think I'd want to hire them again because it was a hassle, but they were good hard workers, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up well after themselves.
