the granite counter top was crooked on the long end by about 1/2 to 3/4 inches the two short ends are 1/2 inch short on one side than the other. the man came out to check on it and said it was not straight when i told him how we were shorted and did not get 8 inch he took out his measuring tape and measured at the part of the counter that stuck out the most and said its about 7 3/4. They are coming back out to even out the long side that was cut crooked to make it straight. they will cut and polish it which will make it about 1/2 more inch shorter. if i was going to order a counter top that was 8 inches over i would have to pay one price if i was going to order that same counter to at 7 1/4 inches over i would pay a cheaper price. they will not surely reimburse me for the shorter counter top nor the inconvenience they are causing me. they have not addressed the two shorter sides either. what a mess this is! it makes me sick!

Rock Solid is a great one stop shopping experience. We were able to find granite, sinks and subway tile all in one spot. They install it all as well. Reasonably priced and professional.

When the slabs of quartz arrived for the kitchen they were cut so poorly that the installer had to cut a piece from the quartz backsplash piece to patch the kitchen slab. The installer ground and polished the patch piece in the new kitchen and spread a horrible talc like powder all over the new cabinets, new appliances and new wood floor. The ONLY seam (24 inches long) was so poorly done that another installer had to spend almost three attempting to correct the poor workmanship and mess. The back splash (a later installation) was also done very poorly and rather than taking my advice to stagger the slab seam and back splash seam the installer put them right on top of each other. Conversations with the owner are miserable at best, filled with excuses and counter anything representing quality or professionalism. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Everything went perfectly. We were originally going to buy level 1 granite because let's face it...the stuff isn't exactly "affordable". Add to the fact that we needed 3 slabs there was no way that we could add another $3600 to the project with exotic granite. When we went in again next to the boring granite we were going to buy was a beautiful level 3 that made the level 1 look even more boring. It happened to have a sale sign and the stars aligned and for only another $900 we could afford it! They always have one or two patterns on sale. The pricing at RS is so easy. We bought 3 slabs for the project outright and then they charged $35/sq ft for fabrication. Other places calculate based on square footage alone plus however much they want to charge for custom details so you never really know what you are paying for. They charge more for buying extra granite, keep the scraps and turn around and sell the scrap to someone else. At RS you own your slabs outright to do whatever you want with it. Had another fabricator bought the granite on sale we would never know if the sale price was passed down to us or not. At first we were going to have the existing counter tops replaced as is but the more pictures I looked at the more I wanted to add custom curves. When they showed up for the final measurements to their surprise I asked them to add the curves. There was no need to worry about a new bid or how much it would cost because we already owned the granite. The only additional charges came from the square footage the curves added which we already knew were $35/sq ft. They gave suggestions on the best way to shape the curves and how big they should be. That day they sent me renderings including how it would look on top of the cabinets for final approval and another day or two later our countertops were installed. When the installation came in they informed me that all of our granite was gone. We were surprised because we were supposed to have plenty to do the bathrooms. We were even more surprised when the final bill came in. They explained everything to us so we understood exactly why our granite was gone and the bill was higher than expected. We chose double thick chiseled edges. Add curves to that and there is a ton of waste and lot more square footage then we ever would have dreamed. They actually did not charge us the full price for the added square footage so we still got an amazing deal and our countertops are perfect. Even if they did charge full price it would have been a completely fair deal because there is no mystery in their pricing. Other places would charge extra for every "radius" depending on the size of it and charge per linear foot for the chisel and probably per linear foot for the double thick edge all on top of the square footage. Those costs are arbitrarily made up by the contractor. Rock solid charges to fabricate anyway you can dream it at a flat rate. Months later I took a friend in their to pick out granite for her new remodel. The staff remembered exactly who I was and the name of the granite we purchased and the project. My friend was so impressed with the customer service she received she did not shop around. We can't wait to raid their remnant stash to have our bathrooms done.

First of all, I have a very long bathroom counter, so I could not just buy a and quot;standardand quot; size from one of the big and quot;boxand quot; stores so I have put off changing my counter top for many years. I wish I would have found Rock Solid Granite and Tile a long time ago because they made the process so easy. They have so many beautiful pieces to choose from and their staff is very knowledgeable so it made choosing the right piece quick and easy. They even showed me pieces that had already been cut so I could get a discount! With that being said, I picked my piece, and in a few short days, a very nice qualified and friendly man came to my home and measured my counter and made a custom template. The next day, they came and installed my beautiful counter top! Wow, what service, they were Professional, Knowledgeable, Pleasant, Friendly and had Excellent Customer Service! Beautiful Products.
