They were great. The price was reasonable. They are a little expensive, but they are good.

The installation was done quickly and very professionally. Very well done. The installed vent line, gas line and wiring all looks very professional. I recommend First Call Jewel highly.

It was very good. I was pleased with the experience. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They were professional, and diagnosed the problem well. But on an after hours service call they took 2 hours show up because the technician was in class -. to be fair they called back and told us there would be a delay. The problem was they have you in a bad situation and take advantage of it. Not only do they charge an extra $80 for the evening service call ( which we expected) but on top of that their repair rates were almost double after hours, - again to be fair we were told the repair cost but only after the $129 service fee.. So we paid almost $500 to have a kitchen sink drain snaked out. When the technician finished he told me that it was working but went on to explain it would only likely work for a little while. He did explain what else he would do. Wow! If I wanted a repair that came with any warranty of their work it was over $1,000. Seems like a lot just to snake a drain. Being reasonable, this was an after hours call, the company was up front about the higher initial service fee,p ($129 vs $49), but made no mention that on top of that repair costs were almost double until after we'd spent the $129. They seem competent and were nice enough but the way they handle billing they not only gouge you after hours but come across as sleazy by not being up front about fees.

The guy who showed up 7 hours late was under-experienced. He charged nearly twice the quote. Worst experience ever with a company.

Everything seemed ok at first. We wanted them to install a gas line but were looking for an estimate first. They came out, looked at the house and said they'd have an estimate to me the next day. This was a Thursday. Friday evening comes, nothing, so I called and was told by the receptionist that Tony (the guy who was supposed to give us the estimate) was out of the office but would have it to me over the weekend. Even still, I asked if I could leave him a message, which she said was fine and I left a voicemail for him. Weekend comes and goes, nothing. I call again on Monday, and Tony's in meetings. Again, I leave a voicemail and am assured by the receptionist that he will get back to me as soon as he's out of his meeting. Monday comes and goes, nothing. Tuesday I call again, get ahold of Tony finally and he says, "oh, uh, yeah I'm working on that today. I'll for sure have you an estimate by 5pm today." First thing - it's been 5 days and you haven't worked on it yet? When you told me it would be one day? Second, I'll believe it when I see it. Tuesday comes and goes, nothing. I call Wednesday, am greeted by the same receptionist with the same "How can I make you smile?" greeting. Something they clearly don't actually WANT to do, because I was told again that Tony was in a meeting and I could leave him a message. I tell her that he has been completely unresponsive and asked if there was any way I could be given more surety that he would, in fact, respond. "Sending you to his voicemail is really all I can do." So I leave him yet another voicemail, and by this time our project was crunched. This was a Wednesday. I called another service (Diamond K Heating and Plumbing - excellent, excellent service) and they came out within an hour and sent me an estimate within 3 hours. They came back and did the work two days later, which is a good thing because I STILL haven't heard anything from Tony and it's been over a week since he promised he'd "for sure" have me an estimate. Not even do the work, I just wanted an ESTIMATE. First Call Jewel's responsiveness was terrible. Their customer service was superficial and follow-through was non-existent. I can't speak to the work they do (who's fault is that?), but if it's anything like their customer service then I recommend anyone and everyone else first.

MIx up on date for first and no one was home.. 2nd time said that they don't do that kind of work. Billed anyway.

They were in and out so quickly that I didn't even meet with the installer. Fantastic work. Very pleased with the quality of the heater as well - a Trane. Professional, fair, fast.

Furnace installation, including ducting for air and exhaust. Installation of high performance air filter.

I wasn't paying much attention - actually I was asleep while the job was being done. It looked good to me when I saw it, and since I know nada about furnaces, I have no idea about the quality. The furnace works so far. Mobile home furnaces are more expensive than regular home furnaces of the same power, and I don't know why, but I called around and compared prices enough to know that this company was about the same or better, as any other place I called.

Entire system was checked. Blowers were individually checked and cleaned. Each thermostat was checked. Detailed instructions were left for me to perform some of the maintenance on my own, if I choose, to save money. System works like a charm! I have relied on First Call Jewel quite a few times, for their electrical expertise, plumbing expertise, heating/cooling expertise, etc. They are always exceptionally professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous, I highly recommend First Call Jewel.

He came on time and was courteous. Went to each water heater and drain out about 2 gallons of water and showed me the sediment in the buckets. He then checked the water heater over for leaks and extra. He told me that one water heater was 10 years old and needed be replaced. It probably does need to be replaced soon. The issue I had was with flush. A good water heater flush does not include draining a few gallons out and then saying it has been flushed. It was mainly a sales call from my perspective.

We own several rental homes in Rexburg. One of them had a shower that was not draining. I went to investigate and could see that the entire water removal system was badly corroded. I determined that the tub needed to have a trap installed. Though I have experience in home repairs I am by no means an expert. The pipes all appeared to be in really bad shape and needed to be replaced. We called up our regular handyman and asked him come look at it and give us his opinion but he was unavailable. So we hopped onto Angie's List and searched for a plumber. We decided to call up First Call Jewel and asked them to come check out the problem. Bruce came out and suggested we completely replace all the drainage pipes (which is the conclusion that I had already drawn) and gave us a price for several different options. We selected the one that we felt would be best, paid him on the spot with a debit card, and did the work that day. We were very impressed by the work that was done and we have used them on two other occasions since.

Our basement flooded from a clog in our main sewage drain. Originally we had a different plumber scheduled to come out the next day. We called jewel when we realized that our drains were all flooding and all other roto-rooters and plumbers had closed for the day. Jewel came out very quickly and worked until the line was cleared. The clog was out almost to the road. The technician was helpful and explained what he was doing. It took a little over an hour- they ran a line 75 ft in from three different directions- to determine that the clog was not in the house. It turned out the obstruction was on the outside of the house, almost to the street. He removed the clog and cleared the line. We appreciated that he came quickly and was able to stop the flooding the same day. Since it was after hours, however, we did have to pay emergency pricing.

My husband was out of state for his company when hot water heater stopped working. I called this company, they sent Nick, their repair tech right away. He turned heater on and it would shut off, repeatedly. I naturally assumed heater had to be replaced. Nick could have EASILY replaced the heater at three times the cost but instead told me that is was a small part in a dial that was wearing out and shutting heater off. I was amazed at his honesty because we had a similar incident in Denver, CO before we moved here and that was a HUGE expense that I now know could have been avoided. I will recommend this honest young man to everyone!

The presenter was very good. We went with a lower bid, but the Jewel bid was reasonable.

They arrived when they said they would be. Had everything installed in one day. Came back the next day for final checks. Called back weeks later to make sure everything went well.

Great. The serviceman was very professional and thorough. He found a problem with a capacitor which I had him replace and a shut off valve in the bathroom that was not functioning. I am very pleased with the service provided by First Call Jewel.

When the provider was called, they responded the same day. The a/c fan was working at the time so it was difficult to determine what the problem was. He stated that the capacitor was a little low, so he replaced it. A week later the fan stopped running again. Another call got a response the same day. This time he stated that the circuit board was bad and he wouldn't be able to get one until the next day. He wired the fan so that it would continuously run. The next day he found a compatible circuit board and had it installed within an hours time.

It took two days, which was what was estimated. The quality of work was great. The person definitely knew what he was doing. Since the replacement main meter panel is bigger than the old one, the siding needed to be cut. We will have to get some trim pieces to trim it out. We have used First call Jewel in the past. They installed a new furnace and heat pump as well as a whole house generator. We have always received first class service from them.

First Call Jewell was great. I live in Boise, which is 250+ miles from my other property. I had met with another electrician on June 3rd. That electrician had told me he would get me a bid by June 11. June 11 came and the other electrician never called. I kept calling the other electrician and he kept putting me off. I had told the other electrician that I needed the work done on July 8th as I was also having an 80 ft tree cut down and the electric wires were going thru the tree, so the tree cutter wanted to do the work with the power lines down. Finally the other electrician sent me a bid for $3300. As soon as I got that bid on June 25th I called First Call Jewell from Boise, 250+ miles away and explained my situation. Tony from First Call Jewell went out to my place in Rigby the next day, called me with a quote of $2100 for same work that the other electric company had quoted me $3300. I hiredTony immediately and arranged to meet him at my place in Rigby on the 8th. A few days later Tony from First Call Jewell called and asked if it were possible to do the work on the 5th of July instead of the 8th. I said yes as we were going to be in that area night of the 3rd. So I met them out at my place on the 5th, Tony and his crew worked all day Friday, as the pole they had to take out to replace with the new pole was hard to get out. Then because the wires had to stay down until the tree cutters came, First Call Jewell met me back out at my place on Monday the 8th, along with Rocky Mtn Power, to finish up the job. They were wonderful and very efficient.

They came when they said they would be here and preformed the service in a very professional manor. I have used them before and would recommend them.
