I was impressed. I told the person who helped me that I didn't know what I was talking about and she accepted that and helped me get what I needed. She didn't try to sell me anything new and didn't try to get me to upgrade my phone. I appreciated that. I'm just quite happy with them. I will continue with Verizon as long as they give the best rate.
Description of Work: I used Verizon for my cellphone. I purchased a car charger.

I do not remember a problem with installation, however I do not remember much from that time period after just moving.
Description of Work: I used a low power internet service with Verizon DSL from early 2010 to July 2012 and other than being a little slow at times and freezing, it was well worth the money.

They charged me the monthly fee a month after canceling and when I called to find out why, after being transferred and hung up on so many times I ended up talking to at least 9 people that day, they claimed I never canceled previous to that, but they would cancel and refund me. A month after that call they charged me an additional $102 and when I called to ask why, they called it a cancellation fee because I had not canceled within a month of receiving service and refused to refund anything, including the $60.62 I was already promised a refund on. I have phone records proving i called several times within the period they claim I never contacted them at all. This was a bundle with Direct TV, which I also canceled, and Direct TV also has records showing I called to cancel immediately, was transferred to Verizon and that I called back questioning the withdrawal by Verizon from my account. I will never do business with Verizon again.
Description of Work: I canceled my service with them within 2 days of ordering it do to being misled by a phone rep regarding requirements.

It was a terrible experience and the customer service representatives did nothing to try to escalate this issue to find a faster resolution.
Description of Work: My experience with Verizon DSL has been very poor. The example of poor service was when I purchased a new home and I had planned well ahead of time to have my service switched from my previous address to my new address. The work order for this change was submitted and I was told by the Representative that my new service would be active at my new home on the day that we were moving in. Our phone service was active on the day that we moved in, but the DSL service was not active as promised. Even though there was a work order that stated that my service would be active the Representative that I spoke to stated that it would take 2 weeks for my service to be active. Now I had to go 2 weeks without remote access to work, online banking and other services that I use on a regular basis online. This was totally unacceptable and even after pleading to speak to managers they could still not change the service start date. This is a total failure of a system that should have been designed to have my service active when it was promised.

The service has been good - very reliable. We have had no technical difficulties or lapse in service. My only complaint is that when we moved it took nearly a month to have our Internet installed at the new apartment.

Verizon has been pretty reliable. The hardware was easy to install. Occasionally there are service issues that can take a long time with customer service to resolve, but those are not very common. The service is stable for the most part.

Our internet from Verizon has been just fine. It was a little complicated getting it at first, but once it came in, we had no problems. Even when there was a problem with our modem, they were very quick to send us a replacement.

I guess this is a case of ''you get what you pay for''. It's certainly an improvement over dial-up and not much more expensive. However, I have found the service to be pretty undependable. At one point this summer, our service was out for about two weeks despite many phone calls to tech support (the phone line was working fine). And the techs they promised twice failed to appear at their appointed times. Since I'd taken off work, that was a big problem. I still have to call frequently to go through some reset procedure with tech support when the service goes out. I stick with them despite the annoyances because when it's working, it's fast enough for me, and it's cheap.
