I had my full HVAC system replaced, A/C, furnace, the works. Not only that I upgraded to a dual zone system. So far I'm very happy with their work. They were timely on both the initial estimate visit and the install. To do the dual zone setup they were all over and through my house, and they were very professional the whole time. I'm happy with my investment and will continue to work with TML. Good people.

Really well. My home is new construction, and upon firing up the AC for the first time, I got nothing. Their sticker was all over the HVAC stuff, so I called them to have them take a look. The unit had been installed just over a year previous (the home was on the market a while), so was just out of warranty. The tech came in, spent probably an hour and a half working out the issues (there was an electrical issue and a coolant leak), and did not charge me. Overall, my impression is that they stand by their work, and value their customers. I'll be using them going forward.

When I smelled the gas around the furnace, I called TML (shortly before noon). They said that the first available technician would call me, and theytold me to call the gas company. I called the gas company, and the gas company had an inspector out to the house within 30 minutes. The inspector detected a leak around the control valve of the furnace. He wrote that on a tag which he hung on the furnace, and he shut off the gas. I got a call from a TML technician while the gas inspector was still there, so I let the gas inspector speak directly to the TML guy and describe what he had found. A TML guy finally showed up at about 6 PM. I don't know if it was the same one who had called 5 hours earlier. I suspect not, because he seemed to have no idea what the gas company inspector had said, and when I showed him the tag with the note saying the control valve was faulty he dismissed it. He then proceeded to take things apart, and spent 30 minutes mucking around with the furnace, saying that it was wired improperly, that a fuse had blown, that the thermostat was not working, and muttering about something "was just not right". The thermostat HAD been working just fine before he got there, and after more than an hour of this guy muddling about, I lost confidence, and asked him to shut off the gas and leave, as it was 7:15 and we needed to be somewhere at 7:30. The next day I called TML again, and a different serviceman came out. He was very congenial, and seemed very confident. He spent a few minutes on the furnace, and said that he found no leaks, and that maybe it had been misfiring, and that had caused the gas smell. The next morning I went into the basement, and the gas smell was still there. Once again, I called TML. A serviceman arrived within 3 hours, and determined that the control valve was indeed faulty (as the gas comapny inspector has said 2 days before). He replaced the control valve, which was still under waranty. We were not charged for the part, but the labor charge for the 15 minutes he spent installing it was $320. I was only charged one $99 service call, but since they failed to fix the problem the first 2 times they came out, that is appropriate. I will not be using this HVAC company again.
Description of Work: There was a gas leak from the 4 year old furnace this company had installed, and was still under waranty.

We have a 3-year contract with them. They've been really good. They're very professional. They come in on time, when they say they're going to. They take care of whatever that needs to be taken care of. They come about every 3 months and service my units and stuff. I need to give them a call again so they can come out and service everything. They are a little spendy.

I subscribed to TML/Service Experts for many years. I did not renew my contract last year, because of cost and because I questioned whether the service was necessary. Now I am re-considering that decision. The technicians who came to do service are always very polite and appear well trained. I gained peace of mind knowing that someone was taking care of this important function, and so look at it as an insurance policy. The one breakdown I had was handled professionally and at a reasonable cost. The one incident that started me thinking that this service might not be necessary occured when I agreed to have one of their sales people come to my house to give me a quote on replacing my aging system. I did not like the pressure he put on me to make a decision. Although his job was to point out the risks to having an older system, I felt that he came too close to using scare tactics, which I consider unethical. This encounter tainted my view of the nature of the company and suggests to me that I want to search for a local company with a better personal relationship with the customer and what the customer might need.
Description of Work: A yearly fee of $160 provides 2 visits, one in the fall to do a check on furnace, and one in the spring to check air conditioner. Also includes a discount for emergency visits, which I used once.

On 02-20-14 I received another phone message at about 10:00 am from Sandy asking me to verify my appointment for that day. I called back TML by 11:00 am and said I am verifying I am home and am ready for my service call. By 1:30 pm, when no one had showed up, I called and asked for the tech's status and was told by Sandy that I do not have an appointment for today. She told me she called my house "a couple of times" this morning and that was a total lie; she only called once at 10:00 am. She then said that I didn't have an appointment because when I called back to confirm my appointment time at 11:00 am I didn't talk to her personally. What? I have seen where someone else wrote " Scheduling an appointment with TML was frustrating because the call center didn't seem to know what was going on locally." I have had the same experience. I should also warn that TML installed my current heating and cooling system about 4 years ago and charged me about $9,000.00 and after about 3 years the motor went out on the air conditioner, which was under the original warranty. They wanted to charge me $266.00 to install a new motor on my air conditioner plus $84.00 for a service fee = $350.00! Because I have already paid for a 2 year service contract, $280.00, and a coupon for $50.00, I still spent $156.00, but only after calling and disputing. Then later they have called me back on two different occasions trying to collect more money on that service call. At this time I am going to try for a refund of my remaining service contract because I don't want to have anything to do with TML anymore.
Description of Work: I had an appointment for today 02-20-14 at 12:00 - 2:00. I received a reminder phone message on the afternoon of 02-19-14 where they asked me to have my house at 75 degrees by 12:00 noon.

They did a great job for a very reasonable price. However, it took them longer than expected to complete all of the work which was a nuissance.
Description of Work: They installed a new heating and air conditioning system and cleaned air ducts in my rental property. They ran a gas line to a fireplace as well.

TML told me the heat exchanger in my gas furnace was faulty and that it was more cost effective to replace the entire furnace. TML came to my house to evaluate my needs, make a recommendation, and prepare an estimate . I was repeatedly told that TML valued my loyalty and that I was a valued longtime customer who would be treated fairly. TML did not follow through. I did not receive an estimate. In fact I never heard from them again. I got bids from 2 other companies. One company told me the heat exchanger was under warranty and that I didn't really need a new furnace. I scheduled the work with that company. When they came to replace the heat exchanger, they said there was nothing wrong with it and it did not need to be replaced. So much for being valued and treated fairly by TML! p.s. Scheduling an appointment with TML was frustrating because the call center didn't seem to know what was going on locally.
Description of Work: When performing a routine annual gas furnace tune up, I was told I needed a new heat exchanger and that it would be more cost effective to replace the entire furnace.

Overall everything went smoothly. I did a bout of price comparisons for the exact same furnace from another supplier and another contractor. Their price came in better and more competitive than the other 2 that I was looking at. There was a $700 difference and it was for the same installation. It was a certain model Lennox furnace. So, when I called the other 2 people that actually provided Lennox furnaces, I asked for that particular model number, the whole VAT, and installation of that including the replacement of a type of thermostat they were going to put in. I couldn’t believe Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning were ever going to be able to do it for that price. We have also used them for our maintenance agreements over the years, so it's one of the reasons we contacted them first. I would contact them first to get their bid if I ever needed another heater, but I would still check with others.
Description of Work: I used Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning to install a new high-efficiency furnace. They took the old one out and replaced it with the new furnace. We have also used them for our maintenance agreements over the years.

They changed their name from TML to Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning. If you have their tune-up plan we can call them even during the weekends. They are probably average but they are trustworthy and that is what I think. I have had them for years and I never had a problem. They are available. The technician seems knowledgeable but nothing to rave about. I have not had any trouble with them over the years and they were always available whenever I needed them. Price wise I think they are reasonable. I have an old system and they keep it going. They tell me that I will need a new one in a year or two. I will use them in the future.
Description of Work: We use Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning. We had them for a tune-up and system check on the heating and air conditioning system in September. I have their tune-up plan and that cost $260 a year. In a year they do 4 such tune-up and it includes the filters replacements also.
