I feel like Perfect used the fear tactics of a failed heat exchanger to influence my decisions on more than one occasion. Furthermore, after taking time to evaluate the financing options presented to me, my overall impression of Perfect is that they do not have the best interest of the customer in mind. I had the system replaced by another vendor and after a thorough check of our unit by that company (which I observed) I fell I was misled by Perfect.

They know what they are doing but are ALWAYS trying to upsell you. They make things sound worse than they are. I recently contacted HVAC to fix a problem i had. Instead of addressing the problem i asked for they are now wanting to sell me a new furnace just because it is old. Overall i do not trust them.

Our water heater broke on Christmas, and was in need off having it replaced ASAP did on online appointment that was confirmed, so figured I was good. Called the morning of the confirmed appoint and said it they were busy and it might be the next day but could do a “firm appointment” for $79. I had been without hot water for two days at this point and assumed it would apply to replacing the water heater so went with it. They then sent out a technician that was unprepared to do the work only came to give an estimate. In the on line request and on the phone when paying the $79 I was very clear I needed it replaced ASAP and believed they were sending someone to do that. They then gave me several estimates the first being nearly $7,000, but did come with a ten year service plan. Finally got down to the non service plan option at $2500 that still seemed steep, but wanted hot water so was willing to deal with it. They then told me it would be a day or two before they could do the work. I told them that wouldn’t work and would find someone else if it couldn’t get done that day. The technician was great and talked to the office and they were able to schedule for that afternoon. They asked for a 50% deposit and said the technician completing the work would call me that afternoon when they were in the way. They came early that afternoon with a crew of 4 and replaced the water heater, the crew was nice and professional and work was done well. They took the final payment and thought we were ok. Looked at my online bank statement that evening and had pending charges for the $79, the $1250 and the total for $2500. I assumed the pending charges for the $79 and the $1250 would go away and would just have the $2500 agreed upon quote. All three charges posted, so I called to have it resolved. Was informed the $79 did not apply and was just to be able to guarantee the appointment that they had already confirmed online, and that wasn’t prepared to do any work. The acknowledged they shouldn’t have charged the deposit and the full amount but would need to call back after talking with management to resolve. They called back shortly and said they would not be reversing the charge but instead be issuing me a paper check and it could be 2-3 weeks before it would arrive. I would not do business them again, crew was great at the house, but business practices seemed like one bait and switch after another. I understand now why they try to lock you into long term agreements before you experience their business practice. I would recommend you look elsewhere.

They wanted over $400 to clear out the drain line, but I balked after which they offered that if I subscribed to an annual maintenance plan they'd do it for $99, plus $238 for plan. Fine, it gets me seasonal maintenance check-ups and priority scheduling. They did the work, but it still leaked, so I had them out again. They responded promptly and we've had no problems since. On a plan, drain line cleaning is $99, so no justification at all for a $400+ estimate for a drain line run of maybe 20 feet. Asked for quote to replace A/C and furnace system, and got the same feeling of trying to "sell up." When we asked too many questions about system they recommended, we stopped hearing back with promised answers and info. That's too bad b/c we thought it was close to an ok price, but just weren't convinced we needed the system as proposed. They also seemed surprised that we intended to get more estimates. I called on Nov 10 to schedule an annual furnace maintenance visit as part of my plan, and my "priority placement" got me an appointment for Dec 27, albeit with a promise to try to fit me in on a cancellation. The individual techs were all professional and polite, and they resolved the problem. As a plus, a newly hired electrician who came on the original call offered to address an electrical issue I might have since he was here and couldn't really help with the drain line issue. I thought that was smart and mindful of appearances since customers don't like to have service techs standing around. He replaced a 3-way dimmer ... much appreciated.

They were incredibly professional, fast, and competent. The inspector that came to sign off on the permit was incredibly complimentary of this team saying "they always do superb work". It's possible I could have found someone to do the work for less money, but it was worth it to me to pay for exceptional service done right the first time.

The estimated cost of repair exceeded replacement cost. The quoted LABOR charge for replacing the faucet was $439.00 -- for a job that would take an experienced plumber no more than 30 minutes to complete. OVER $800 AN HOUR FOR LABOR ???!!! I paid the $39 "trip charge" and told him to leave. I am a retired senior (72 years old), not a plumber, and replaced the faucet in under an hour.

I had an issue with the quality. The workers were courteous. They left the area clean.

I believe that A1 Plumbing & Perfect Air took complete advantage of my wife - they quoted her $450.00 to install a sink (we supplied the sink), she said yes because she wouldn't know any better, so they installed the sink in less than 1 hour. That is a chargeable rate of $450.00/hr., the HIGHEST priced plumber in Boise. Then they 'upsold' her on 2 unneeded items for an additional $300.00. Do NOT use A1 Plumbing & Perfect Air, they will gouge you and then claim that they told you up front. The customer service agent, Andrea, told me that they are not the cheapest - but you can be assured they are the most expensive. At least get 3 bids, you will see very quickly the difference.

Setting up the appointment went smoothly. The plumber showed up on time. I originally purchased the water softener from RC Willey. Our house is brand new and was plumbed for a water softener. There is even a drain installed near the location (< 4 feet). Considering the following: 1. Plumbed for a water softener. 2. Existing Drain. 3. Customer supplied softener. 4. About 2 hours worth of work. The installation cost was way to high even with the supplied "parts" and two bags (or so) of salt. Allen simply pointed to his book and said this is how much it costs; really? It was ridiculous. I feel like I was taken to the cleaners on this job and was ripped off. It works, visually looks right but it left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) once the full cost was considered. I would not recommend this company because I think they are too high priced.

Nothing!!! Either totally incompetent or just thieves.

I had multiple problems with the system after it was installed. At one point the fan wasn't working as well as other issues. They ended up having to install a new system because they did not repair it after multiple attempts. It took me demanding that they install a new the system in order to make that happen. I am not happy with their customer service. I wish I had used another provider.

The system went in right before Boise was hit with 110-degree weather and I was comfortable with air conditioning for the first time.

They showed up on time, completed the work quickly and professionally. The follow up with the maintenance has been great and saved us 1000's on an issue they caught.

They came out at 75% higher than the other recommended plumber. I think people didn't know about that. The quote was $14,000 and the other quote from Titan Technologies was $4400. Both were recommended by the city inspectors that was why I chose these 2 to get quotes from. Their professionalism was excellent. Their price was a little something like what they call the red carpet service, but what they were charging for is pretty outrageous. I will have the work done next week so I can't say if Titan is going to be good or not, but the city plumbing recommended them so I imagine they will. I want to use A1. They are probably an excellent company that does excellent work, but they charge way more than the premium pricing. Anyone that shops around can tell you that you can get this done way cheaper.

Installation was complete in a few hours. Used quality materials and ran lines and exhaust pipe very neatly.

So easy to schedule with! Showed up on time and called prior to arriving. Wore booties in the house. Gave me up-front costs of everything. I had called them for the water heater and the outdoor water spigot that needed replaced. While he was here he asked if there were any other plumbing concerns and I remembered a leak under the kitchen sink that was minor and I couldn't locate - he did right away and fixed that too.

Pre-order made repairs under service contract. They were able to make the repairs the same day I called.

The plumber arrived on time and was very courteous. My issue with this company is that they always try to up-sell me to a very expensive solution to the problem instead of offering and explaining other options.

Their price was comparable. They were probably a little higher. There was nothing really distinguishable. They did some work for us many years ago where we replaced some toilets, and I think they did a great job. This was such a minor deal. They just replaced what needed to be replaced, and then that was it.

I like them very much. The agreement I have with them is very helpful because they come at different times to check on my furnace, plumbing and air conditioning unit. They are all experienced, knowledgeable, pleasant and clean after themselves. They are not very cheap though.

They did an excellent job. These guys are really clean on what they did. I like the workmanship and the way they approached it. They just did an excellent job. We had one little issue couple of days after they put it in and they were right there, did service and everything is set by set.

They wanted $1800 bucks to replace my water heater. The guy was very professional and nice (and gave me the whole better business bureau and we're the best speech). When I asked for a breakdown, it was a flat charge of $1600 for the water heater plus extra labor for a pipe to be installed per code. When I looked on the internet (with the guy right there) the water heater itself was only $600 so at 300% mark-up I sent them walking. And they wouldn't budge on price...

He wore shoe covers at all times. He examined the project (the removal of the partially uninstalled old faucet, and the customer supplied new faucet). He then quoted a predetermined price from a job/price manual, and presented me the price quote on a work order request form for me to sign. He then placed cloth covers under the sink, and removed the old faucet. He installed the new faucet, and hooked it to the water service lines. He then tested the water lines for leakage. He then tested the faucet and the sprayer. He asked me to watch him (underneath the sink) retest the water lines and the new faucet for leakages. He then determined how I was to pay for the job, which was by credit card. He then presented me with both a written and electronic receipt. I should say that at all times he remained very professional in his demeanor, was friendly, and explained all of the steps he took, as well as explaining the pros and cons of the new faucet (which were essentially all pro remarks.

Terrible. They couldn't give us a price range over the phone so came to the house, Charged us $60 to access the job (5 minutes) and then were going to charge us $550 to install a toilet we had already purchased !! insulting and bad business. I would never recommend them for anything.
