Description of Work: I bought the $49 Roof Tune-UP/$100 Repair-Replacement Credit Big Deal. I had a roof leak of water into my laundry room that needed review and resolution. Co-Owner Bryan came out and viewed the roof "leak" area from in the attic and on the roof. He determined that the problem was that a valley in the roof was clogged with dirt, debris and leaves. Heavy rain caused the water to dam up in the valley forcing water beyond the edge of the valley metal and into the attic. Co-Owner Edgar and Helper Hector came out on Saturday morning, August 22, 2015, cleaned out the dirt, debris and leaves out of two valleys and checked the condition of their valley metal and adjoining slate tiles. Edgar took pictures of the valleys and tile batting and showed them to me indicating how the valleys needed to be cleared and the proper place to step on the tiles to minimize any cracking of the tiles. I did not have to pay anything beyond the $49 Big Deal. I found both Co-Owners Bryan and Edgar to be friendly and informative. Hector was a good worker. My experience with E&H Roofing was great.

Description of Work: Brilliant Services performed two jobs for me; a bathroom remodel and a roof replacement. I highly recommend this company for their prompt work and excellent quality. I live out of town and was able to get most of the work done via phone and email. Their proactive approach to dealing with my situation was priceless. Many thanks to Brilliant Services. Description of Work: I called the company and asked them to install a handrail in my sister's house as a gift to my sister. (I live in another state.) They went and looked at the site, then made an oak handrail and returned and installed it. My sister said they were polite, professional, and easy to deal with, and showed up when they were supposed to. She is very pleased with the quality of the handrail and its installation.

Description of Work: Replaced caulk in walk-in shower and in kitchen between tile and countertops. Arrived promptly. Personable young man did the work. I needed to point out some spot areas that he missed, but he cheerfully agreed and completed the job to my satisfaction. I gave a "B" because I needed to ask for improvements after he considered the job done. An "A" would have come by looking at the work and seeing that all details were attended to. Worker came through the house with dirty boots. He left caulk on faucet after his hand washing. I like to not have to clean up after workers in my home. I didn't notice this until after he left, or I'm sure he would have cheerfully cleaned up these small spots. I consider this a one-time problem, as I have used Brilliant Services before, and they did a great job with an "A" rating from me. I will use Brilliant Services again.

Description of Work: Housecleaning. They were very slow. Seemed like they were not awake yet or something. They didn't finish dusting, spent way too long on the bathrooms. I was very disappointed in the service. Will not be using them again for housecleaning. I did, however, use their carpet cleaning service and they were great.

Description of Work: Tim removed and replaced old grout and caulking from the shower/wall joints and in a few places on the shower walls where there was more damage. This is all I expected, but in addition, he also removed and replaced the caulking between the glass block and the wall. To my amazement, he also replaced mortar on the outside of the glass block, something the previous service I hired for the shower, refused to do. In short, Tim did everything I expected and much more. He was right on time, worked quickly and with no blaring boombox (like the last service), did a professional job, and didn't include the time spent getting additional material for the glass block mortar.

Description of Work: Not keep their word continually. After coming for an estimate was told it would be sent asap Tues at latest which was 5 days later it never came, never heard from them. Sent an email 2 days later and got no apology only a 3 word answer. Waited several days again, had to call again and finally got the estimate. Appt was set for assessment of bath remodel for 10:30 but he showed up early @ 10:15 and left before 10:30 because we showed up at 10:20 got held up at doctors but walked out early to make sure we were home before 10:30 but never received a call from him or the company saying he was there and we were not. Waited for nearly an hour then called and was told he would call back right away....No call...we called again 30 min later frustrated as we had other appts got same response that he would call us right back...waited 2 hrs no call. Finally called the owner in an upset of the poor business practices hoping a woman would get the importance of a company using professional communication skills and keeping their word. She did not. She insinuated that our clock could have been wrong. We are very punctual, considerate people who keep our word. Yes.. I vented out a portion of my ongoing frustration over our experience over the 2 weeks but she did't care. When you make an appointment you dont show up early without making sure thats ok and then not stay until the original set appt time and not even call IF nobody was home. Add to that the estimater telling us a tub refinish would be cheap around a couple of hundred from a tecommended company called that co. and was told it would be around $750 to $1000. We dont call that cheap. Not happy from moment One with this company. [Approx. Cost: $3800.00]

Description of Work: With backup from the owner, the service cleaned and serviced our gutters on a 1 1/2 story house. A hornet's nest caused a little delay, but the owner resolved that problem and completed everything as expected. |A good example of the trust placed in Angie's List referrals.

Description of Work: Two cleaners worked on my daughter's house and she was very pleased. So then, I had this service come to my home. Then three cleaners came to my house. Both jobs were done quickly and thoroughly and very reasonably priced. I plan to use this service every month from now on.

Description of Work: Cleaned and repaired gutters. The worker did a great job. He was on-time, and professional. There was a problem with one of my gutters, but he tried to fix it and told me what the underlying problem was. I would use Brilliant again.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for one room to be painted. Contacted the company did have small issues with setting up a date to perform the service however nothing outstanding. They came out did a few extra things for me overall happy with the room.

Description of Work: I paid for them to come to my home and review the work we were looking to do to improve our home. It took 3+ weeks before I ever received a call to schedule an appointment. Several weeks later they came by May 9 th, (2 people, one male one female named Chris). They started critiquing my home from the front door, letting me know there were needs. I reminded them we were starting with the master bath and needed assistance to make it ADA approved. They took measurements and the lady was critical of the condition of the existing shower, saying there is a product for that. I did not feel I needed to justify the condition of the shower, that is why we no longer use it, we have very hard water and the glass looks frosted. |Today is June 16th and I have never heard or received a plan or bid for the remodel of my master bath. Needless to say I am very disappointed to have paid $49.00 several months ago for services not rendered. I would like to receive an answer from Angies list or a plan or bid on this work.
