Paint It Green

We got in touch with Paint It Green to have the exterior of our house painted. Tim provided a detailed job estimate, the three-man team arrived early each day, they worked efficiently and happily, they kept the property tidy, they did a great job prepping the house, communication was great, and the end result is outstanding! Our neighbors have complimented the work as a job well done. We’ll call Paint It Green back for other work, and will recommend them to others.

It seemed to go great, once it finally got off the ground. We were put aside to cater to bigger clients. The painting seemed fine, but there were things that I noticed afterwards that really irritated me. There was overspray on the downspouts of a different color, scraper blades left in the yard, concrete on our garage was blown out from pressure washing and no heads up that it happened, patches on the upper part that were missed, and the weather stripping on all the doors wasnt reinstalled correctly and was falling off. Tim seemed like a very nice guy, but I just wouldn't recommend them because I didnt think the quality was up to par.

Paint it Green showed up exactly when they said they would for the entire process, from getting a quote to completing the job. They were 100% professional in every way. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend Paint it Green to all of my friends and clients.

Our two story old home in Boise's North End needed to be painted but first peeling lead-based paint had to be removed and LOTS of other prep work needed to be done. Paint It Green's owner Tim and his team did just that keeping everything clean and safe. When they left our yard at the end of each day, they picked up after themselves leaving nothing behind. Tim and team are knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. They said they would be at our home at 7AM, and they were. When they said they were going to do something for us or our home, they did it. They painted our handrails and gate, because the existing color would not work with the home's new colors. They stayed on task and at their bid price, there were no hidden costs or surprises. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to friends and family. A dreaded job turned into a pleasant experience and you should see our home, it is beautiful!

Arrived at stated time . The team worked well together . They were efficient and completed the whole project by mid afternoon . I have had this team paint before and they did an equally good job this time .

Tim and his team were very professional and courteous. They showed up on time every day and did a fantastic job. Tim was very receptive to feedback and the colors I had chosen for the job. They completed the project on schedule and we are happy with the outcome. They were also friendly to my dogs and that is a huge thumbs up from me! We have other projects we are doing in the future and will be using Paint it Green!

This was a strange deal. Tim Coulter was very responsive to my bid request and offered a competitive price when lots of other painters were too busy to care about my small job. That meant a lot to me. He also worked clean and his quality met my expectations. But here's where it got weird. Before the job I provided a detailed floor plan describing exactly what I needed. But when the job was done there were several walls untouched that were in the plan -- but an entire room repainted that wasn't in the plan. It made matters worse for me that I live 150 miles from the house (I had not yet moved in), so I had to drive 6 hrs round trip to find out the work was incorrect. That's time and fuel I'll never get back. Eventually Tim and I negotiated a solution in terms of price, but I felt like he negated too aggressively considering the mistake was not my fault. But it's hard to find quality work for a competitive price. So in truth I'd probably call Tim next time I need painting if he wants the work and I live closer to the job so I can monitor it. Anyone who's still reading (including Tim, if you are), I gave an overall score of "B" because the deal was stressful and awkward. I scored price and quality "B" because I ended up getting different work for a different price than originally desired; and the "C" for professionalism would have been an "A" if the instructions had been followed; or since they weren't I think he should have said, "No charge for my mistake," in which case I would have experienced so much less stress and probably tipped him the final agreed price anyway.

The job took 3 days. At the end of each day, crew cleaned up and put furniture and appliances back into place so I could have a normal evening. The job was done as estimated, even after discovering at the start of the job that the wall paper was put directly on the sheet rock without original finishing or priming. Results were excellent. Very pleased with their work.

Paint It Green is a local father and son company. We were getting an older, 4-bedroom house ready to sell. Joel came out to give us an estimate and describe the work they would do. They use a low-odor paint which is nice when you are living in the house as they paint. They provided some nice small touches that greatly improved the look of the house. They were very clean and considerate the entire week they were here. They didn't leave until they were satisfied and we were happy. I would hire them again.

Joel was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond for us. He explained every step of the process and made sure we understood why everything was needed. He sanded and primed multiple times to make sure it was perfect before painting. He was always on time and ready to work. Never had an issue contacting him if we had a question or wanted to change something. He was so good with our animals, making sure they didn't get out when he was in the back yard. He was very respectful of our time line and schedules. He would always let us know when he was on his way. He even added little extra touches like painting our light fixtures and our front door. He was the most professional vendor I have ever dealt with. We will be using Joel and Paint It Green again!!! Thank you Joel!!! We love our new house!!!

Time got us a quote with in a week of our call, a very fair bid, and was attentive, and communicative all the way. The house looks great.

A couple years ago I found "Paint It Green" when they were painting my neighbor's home. I got a positive review from them and I liked the way their house looked so I contracted with Tim Coulter, owner of Paint It Green, to paint our exterior. I was so pleased with every aspect of his work. He is truly a professional painter, has tons of knowledge, pays attention to detail, and is very personable and easy to work with. He made suggestions to improve things, such as adding traction to the steps on the porch, painting all the trellises near the walls, adding bug deterant to the paint, and even painting my hot tub to match my house. He did a thorough job prepping and sanding before he began. I was very impressed. He started the job when he said he would, and worked until he finished the job on time. He met and exceeded my expectations. This spring we decided to begin repainting the interior of our home and I didn't hesitate to call Tim and Paint It Green again. His work was outstanding. I especially appreciated his work on the walls before the paint went up, to make them look new. I have 5 kids so some of the walls were pretty banged up before he worked on them. Mid-project he suggested we put corner protectors up and he cut and hung them at no extra charge. He was willing and pleasant when things came up during the project that I wanted to add on. He also was concerned about the fumes from the paint and took precautions and care with fans and filters. He also came back and fixed a hole in the wall and showed me how to prep my daughter's room for painting free of charge. I give him my highest recommendations!!

When I purchased my home the exterior paint was cracked, peeling and in generally poor condition. It also tested positive for lead. My house is not large but the men from Paint It Green spent four full days sanding, scraping and sealing, and on the fifth day painted the house. Tim made sure the prep was done in a superior manner, and after it was painted he looked for areas that were not quite right and sanded and painted them again. The painters were professional and obviously experienced. They followed the lead abatement guidelines and cleaned up after themselves very well. Their attention to detail was extraordinary. I am delighted with the results and would recommend Tim Coulter and Paint It Green to anyone looking for a superior painting firm.

The experience could not have been better! The paint job was fabulous and Tim and his crew were clean, prompt and friendly. They were amazingly efficient and finished the job in 4 days. They seemed to really care about the finished product and even took time to bevel the edges of the beams they trimmed back. Even though he is based in Emmett, he showed up, ready to work, at our house in East Boise at 7:30 every morning. Maybe the best part was that Tim Coulter is very responsive and communicates well. He answered all my emails and phone calls promptly and did exactly what he said he would. My neighbor had him paint their house and recommended him highly. Obviously, I will do the same. I won't ever use another painter!
