Good. Brent was professional, knowledgeable. Only glitch was their scheduling program/e-mail... sent three different times for one appointment. But it got straightened out, so no mix-up.

He said the chimney was already clean so that did not need to be done. He advised a cap for my chimney to keep water and animals out, so we did that.

Not well. The fellow came into my home and looked at the chimney from the bottom up, did not get on the roof to check the spark-arrester or sweep the top of the chimney, vacuumed the bottom part of the chimney, and reported that I needed a new chimney insert. Period. Recommended a local contractor for a new chimney insert immediately, charged me $130, and left. I was not confident in his work or recommendation and called a different company, who came out and spent 40 minutes cleaning my chimney thoroughly and reported that the insert is in excellent condition, and charged me $95!!

This is the 3rd time we have used them. The are professional, timely and honest. Normally, it costs $130 for this service but because we had this done several years ago and the renters (that moved out) hadn't used the fireplace much, the chimney was pretty clean so we were only charged $105.00. We will definitely use them again!

I will use them in the future and will recomend them to all my neighbors.

I made the appointment with A Fireman's Chimney Sweep (AFCS) just for cleaning the fireplace. I was told that I would need a masonary to repair the chimney, this was by Treasure Valley Exteriors (TVE). I meant to call AFCS to ask about having them give me an estimate also on the repairs but didn't. So when Bryan arrived I discussed this with Bryan over the phone (I was at work and my daughter was at home). Even though it was not scheduled or planned, he surveyed the work on the roof that needed to be done and repaired it the same day! I was told it would probably be about a $1000 from the TVE and Bryan charged me only $220 for the cleaning AND the repair of the chimney. I couldn't believe it! I felt so lucky to have used Bryan and will call him with all my chimney needs.

Showed up on time, cleaned and inspected a pellet stove that hadn't been used in a new home. Explained everything in detail, stayed to make sure the stove started and worked appropriately as we had yet to use it. Offered a military discount after seeing pictures in my home of my husband in uniform, without my asking or knowing about a discount and my explaining my husband has been retired for 5 years! Great service, will use again as needed.

He was excellent and I would definitely use him again. He was very responsive, was on time, knew what he was doing and gave us a fair price.

On the scheduled day of service the service man called because he was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early, what a nice surprise. He arrived when stated, was pleasant, confident and preformed the work quickly. He left with no leftover messes. I will call them again when I need chimney service.

I was quoted a price of $90 for the two flues. When the fellow came to clean, he told me I was given the wrong price--it should have been $130. Since he was at my house, I told him to go ahead. He went up to the roof and ran a power sweep down through both flues. I'm not sure how long it took--maybe 20-30 minutes at most. I expected him to then clean up the ash that had been pushed down the chimney and vacuum out the fireplace and pellet stove. ALL chimney sweeps I've had in the past have done that as part of the cost. I was told that would have cost me an extra $70. Now I've had chimneys and chimney sweep for 40 years and never before did I have one NOT clean up the ash that they loosen. I was already paying $40 more than I was quoted. This would have meant an extra $110! For $70 I can clean up ash. When I cleaned up the ash. I was stunned at how little there was. I know how to clean out a chimney flue going into from the stove (I don't go up on the roof). Whenever I've done it, I've gotten way more ash than this time. I'm not saying it wasn't done right...I'm just saying I've always gotten more ash than I saw this time. I got out my chimney brush and long, long connectors and ran them up the flues and did, in fact, get more ash to fall. Maybe chimney sweeps simply don't do as much cleaning as they used to. (As I said, I do know how to clean a flue, but I thought I'd better have it done and quot;professionallyand quot; this time just in case I wasn't doing a good job.) However, the bulk of the work isn't running a brush in the flue, it's cleaning up the loose ash afterward. Guess I'll just do it myself from now on (or find someone who does the whole job at what I think of as a more reasonable price).

We have used Bryan before to clean the chimney at our rental and he does excellent work! His prices are very fair and he won't try to "sell" you anything you don't need. We will definitely use him again if the need arises!

I called Bryan as a referral from Leisure Time. I was selling my mother's home and the inspection located an issue with the fireplace chimney. Bryan met the realtor to look at the problem, ordered the supplies and returned to complete the work. Everything was done on a timely basis. Yes, I will definitely use his service again.
