Roofing contractor tore off an existing wood shake roof and installed an architectural grade shingle on my two story home. All work was performed professionally and in a timely fashion. Job site was cleaned up daily, crews were polite and professional, and the job well done. They even came back and removed an ice dam the following winter at no charge. Highly recommend Alpha Roofing.

The crew doing the work were excessively loud, shouting to each other in conversation (not work related) and could be heard in the park two blocks away. (we observed a crew doing a complete roofing job a block from our house and heard nothing but the expected construction noises.) After "completion" I noticed that the repaired section didn't match up with the existing roof and that the roof line at the soffits angled inward by about two inches. After repeated calls to Justin/Robert one finally showed up about 6 weeks after the work. After looking the work over he agreed that the work had not been done correctly and that they would return to fix it. Again we heard nothing more and have since left several messages with Justin still they continue to ignore (August 2015). Very unprofessional. No integrity.

I am very satisfied with the result. What is notable and revealing about Alpha is the major error they made and how amicably they corrected it at considerable cost to themselves. After they had installed about a quarter of the shingles I discovered that they were not the same color I had selected. They stopped work, removed the shingles, re-ordered and installed the correct color two days later. There was no argument. There was no delay. These guys dealt with an uncomfortable and expensive situation honestly and honorably. That's pretty unusual.

The roof looks really good. They know how to roof. They are not very good about all the little details that go along with such a project. On the day my roof was stripped I had windows open on the side of the house opposite the dumpster. When I finally realized how dirty the process was it was too late. I had black grit on bedding, window blinds, window sills and floors. It took me two days of heavy duty cleaning to do what could have been avoided had they just told me to close my windows. It took my husband an entire afternoon to take apart our kitchen fan and dump out the roofing, nails, screws and staples that were rattling around in there. He also removed debris from 2 of 3 bathroom fans and had to take the time to check our dryer vent as well. When I told them about the ridiculous amount of junk we that we had found I got no explanation as to how this was allowed to happen. They seemed to want to avoid addressing it altogether. My attic fan also was vibrating loudly and I could see it visibly shaking. They sent Mel out to inspect, unfortunately I was just leaving so was not able to ask him if he fixed the problem. I called that afternoon and left a message for them to let me know if this was resolved. That was last Wednesday. This is Monday evening. I still have not heard anything from them. My husband spent more time, on the roof to diagnose what the issue was. The lower edge of flashing for the attic fan had been nailed at each corner. There were holes in the sheet metal for 3 more nails. Those were missing. My husband then had to run to the store, buy the sealer to properly seal the holes that were made when he then fixed the issue. So unless you plan to pay good money for a new roof but then don't have the time for all the follow-up required, I would go somewhere else. They just dropped the ball. Big time. Alot of work for us with no apology or explanation. That's unfortunate because the roof looks really good. *Please note that they were the sub-contractor on this project. So I do not know if what I paid accurately represents what they were paid.

Alpha Roofing was great to work with. The were very helpful to us as we selected roofing materials and were very professional in their willingness to schedule their work to fit with the work of another contractor who we had repainting the house in conjunction with the roof replacement. Once scheduled, they started work promptly and completed the project on time; meeting their promised completion date even though there was an unanticipated delay in receiving some of the materials from the supplier. The quality of their work is beyond reproach. We were frankly amazed at how well they cleaned up the site after completing their work. They were also more than willing to attend to those nit picky details that we asked to finalize the project. The only negative comment we have is that there is a minor but apparent disconnect between their field crew and the paperwork end of things (we knocked their and quot;Responsivenessand quot; rating down a notch because of it). They tried very hard to be responsive and ultimately, they succeeded, but we were left with some moments of uncertainty when getting the initial contracts finalized as well as some delay in getting a final invoice issued. All in all, however, we are highly pleased with the final outcome and would not hesitate to have them do additional work for us. We already have recommended them to others.

Alpha Roofing told my son he had significant hail damage and needed a new roof. They agreed to meet with the insurance company adjuster. My son set up a meeting and stayed home from work. My son called 20 minutes before the appointment time to be sure the roofer would be there when the insurance adjuster showed up. Robert told him he would be about 5 minutes late (the appointment was at noon). The adjuster arrived, no one from Alpha Roofing ever arrived at all. The adjuster was there until 1 p.m., then he left, saying he didn't see and quot;enoughand quot; damage on the roof.

Justin of Alpha Roofing and Construction LLC is great. We're going to have him do the whole roof in July. He's done a couple of repairs for us and he has been excellent. He had forgotten to charge us for the first time, which was the previous fall. We were very satisfied with this price for both jobs. I was going to have him do the roof, but then we found some leaks so it needed repairing and he came over and did them. In fact, he brought his family with him the second time! It was really cool, we had a good time with him. I think it was 5 squares for $250, and given where we live, I think it was a pretty good deal.

Prompt, on-time service and clean up. Only MINOR complaint was with joint on facia....... 3/8and quot; - 1/2and quot; gap.

The crew arrived on time, did some extra work to help me move an obstacle in my yard. Owner and crew were respectfull of my property and didn't stand around talking. The job was completed in one day and cleanup was perfect. This was an excellent experience across the board. Yes, I would recommend Alpha roofing and already have. If I lived long enough to need another new roof, I'd call Alpha Roofing first.

We were extremely pleased with the original contracted work of this roofer. He used good materials, gave a competitve bid, did a good job of installing the new roof in a timely manner. BUT: His original contract offered inspection and repair for 2 years by the shingles manf. with additional guarantee offered by himself personally. We have called him repeatedly to request a roof inspection, although he has assured us he would get to it soon, HE HAS NEVER FOLLOWED THROUGH ON THIS PART OF OUR CONTRACT WITH HIM. What could have been a straight A rating for him was modified by my experience with his failure to follow up and by my wish to make others aware of that possibility if doing business with him.

Very neat and did great cleanup job. Very nice and courteous crew. I selected a red color but the owner of Alpha felt I might be making a mistake. So he showed me a bigger sample piece. I could immediately see he was right and changed to a medium gray color. I am very pleased that he helped me change my mind. The new color fit my home much better. I was very very pleased with all their work. The owner was always available on his cell phone which was comforting.

The reasons I am glad we chose Alpha Roofing to replace the roof on our house. We bought VA and one of the requirements for financing the home was that several specific leaks had to have the roof shingles replaced. We received several bids and researched the brand of shingles that different companies specified in their bid. Only Alpha Roofing was using the top rated Architectural shingle. His bid included all the details which must be used to do a correct job of roofing repair. He specified all new pipe flashing and roof vents, new metal drip edge, and all required metal flashing and fasteners. We considered paying more to have better shingles installed because we thought this might matter in the windy area where our house was located. When we consulted Justin Bromgard of Alpha Roofing about the wisdom of doing that, he told us that in his professional opinion, if we were able to spend any more on the roof that we would be money ahead to simply re-roof the whole house for not much more than the repair bid, as he was already biding with a quality shingle. This was good news to us, because our building inspector had said in his report that the roof could not be expected to last longer than about three more years. That would have meant several thousand dollars now………only to be faced with even greater expense in a few short years. Alpha Roofing could have made a larger profit margin by simply doing the repair, using the more expensive shingles and doing other things that we non-professionals thought might be a good idea. Instead he acted with integrity and advised us as to what would be in our best interest. Circumstances had delayed the roof until good roofing weather was almost past. But when we were able to give the go ahead; Alpha Roofing went right to work tearing off our old rood and installing a beautiful new roof which we could see was done with the highest quality of workmanship. Alpha Roofing also provides a 5 year transferable service warranty in addition to the shingle manufacturers warranty. When the job was finished the workers not only cleaned up all of their own trash but called and offered to haul away a large pile of trash that was left in the driveway by the previous owners. We could not more highly recommend a better roofer.
