Description of Work: Replace skylight - I needed to have a new skylight installed over a hole in our roof left from the "fired" roofer that specialized in Flattop Roofing and Construction. His three undertrained, inept workers destroyed our 6' x 10' 126 year old skylight, one that survived the great fire of 1910 I might add, then covered the hole in the roof with unsupported TPO roofing material. After extensive research on my part, I learned the skylight could have been reglazed, the roof could have been sealed by lifting one corner at a time - but most importantly it did not need to be removed. Additionally, the weight of the ponding water where the skylight once stood, caused seam damage and leaking into the building. The roofer that specializes in Flattop Roofing and Construction then placed a lien on our property, threatened us, screamed at me, called my husband names, acted completely and totally unprofessional, lied about his credentials to include his insurance and bond, put a lien on our property and sued us for breach of contract. The entire time the roofer claimed no responsibility for his negligence to the destroyed skylight. The cost to fix the problems with leaking cost us an additional $2,100.00 and the new replacement skylight was just over $10,000. This was such a horrific experience and expense spanning 4 months. Modern Glass Company came to our rescue!

Description of Work: i broke a glass shelf in my refrigerator. i called modern glass and they said they could replace it. i drove to their store, they measured the bracket which held the glass that i took, ordered the glass shelf - it arrived in about five days, i picked it up and it fits perfectly. Affordable - the receptionist was friendly - the guy who came out and did the measurement wasn't real friendly but he did the measurement, ordered the glass shelf, which i installed and it was terrific. i would go back. i don't care if the guy who did the measurement had a great personality or not - all i wanted was the correct glass shelf replacement and i got that.
