Do not buy the warranty! First, we were not told it would expire. We were within the time period - whew! Our dishwasher's heating element failed. We were told the earliest appointment was a month out. We waited and finally, a technician came, only to tell us he had to order the part and it would be at least two more weeks. "Call if you don't hear from us " Really??? I googled the error code before I called and told them it needed a heating element. If they didn't believe me, why not send a technician to diagnose the problem before we waited that long month? So...it will be at least six weeks before our dishwasher is useable again, if then. I will never again buy a warranty from Fred's. Their service sucks.

f i could give NO stars or negative stars, I would. We ordered 17k worth of appliances in July. First, when we called to ask if someone could come out to ensure we ordered the right ones, they said "bring us all of the serial numbers and we can exact match the sizes that way", so we did. Second, they told us the order would take a couple weeks to arrive., it's now almost November and we are still dealing with them and the mess. Their "serial number match" was a joke - they ordered us a fridge that was too small for our opening, the dishwasher didn't fit and neither did the microwave, basically the only thing that did was the cooktop. So, installer gets here the first time once all appliances are delivered and immediately tells us the fridge wont fit and how did we measure, we told them we didn't, they said bring the serial numbers in. He said they could have had me come out and do a measurement appointment (guess he does them all the time but we were never offered this). Fridge goes back and I ask for a refund instead of going through the process to wait for another one since it took almost three months to get in the first place - they had the BALLS to charge me a 25% restocking fee - I am speaking with an attorney for unfair business practices on this whole sham of a business as it's a JOKE, also going to file a BBB complaint and whatever others i can as I literally feel they just ripped me off. I mean, that was a 7k fridge that you said would fit and now you just get to keep my $1700?!?! Fast forward to the remaining items arriving (again 3 months later), same guy (who is the only amazing thing in the whole ordeal as he did everything perfectly) comes to install dishwasher and double oven, well, dishwasher hose is cracked and we have to have one ordered and still can't use the dishwasher - he calls freds and tells them, we called, and finally we get a call saying the part is in, they will be here Tuesday (10/27) to fix it and we will get a call with a 2 hour window that day. Tuesday comes, no call. We call them and "Oh no, I dont know why this was messed up, I dont show you on the schedule but I see the notes, my service manager will be out first thing in the morning to handle that" Wednesday (10/28) 8:30am service manager calls and says I wont be there, Fred's didn't give me the part to fix it, I will be in touch. Just MINDBLOWN over this whole scenario, and the thing about it is, they just dont care. I called after the fridge thing and the restocking fee issue to their corporate office to complain about the sales person who we dealt with and no one calls back! No credits for anything, had to pay two times for two different installs because they messed up, but they just dont care. I honestly can't believe they are in business still - what happened to "locally owned" support local practices, I tried to do that and it bit me in my ***, Fred's doesn't care about it's locals and i hope this review will save the next person who is thinking about using them the headache.

We have had Fred's repair the ice maker 4 times until the warranty finally ran out and it still does not work. I will never purchase another Frigidaire product or anything from Fred's appliance again. Buyer beware --- you better buy the extended warranty so you can keep calling them back.
Description of Work: We purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator and dishwasher from Fred's and paid them to setup. Both products had to be repaired within a couple of months. The ice maker is still down.

The sales staff was not very attentive; we waiting almost ten minutes before anyone approached us. I had done a great deal of research before going in, and in some regards I knew more than the sales person helping me. And he was trying to sell me a different machine than I wanted. A different sales person was more helpful, but I still felt like a walking dollar sign. We've never had a problem with the washer, and they did a good job installing it. But I won't buy any more appliances from Fred's. I'll go to Sears, with their warranties and guarantees.
Description of Work: My front loading washer died. A repair man came and looked at iit and said it would be cheaper to replace it. We went to the show room and looked at different machines.

We got home from a 4 day vacation to a puddle in front of the refrigerator. Fred's sent a very knowledgeable tech and he did give it a good look over before giving us a repair estimate that was close to or over the cost of new. Guy showed up next day, on time, easily communicated our options and apologized for having to charge us.
Description of Work: Diagnosed a non-working refrigerator and deemed it unrepairable.

I had been shopping clothes washers and dryers, and was comparing the various costs at nearby appliance stores. I found the people at Fred's the most helpful (compared to Sears, Best Buy and Home Depot), the selection better, and the prices better than the other stores. On my first visit, I was a little disappointed that the sales person pretty much talked me out of the set I was looking for (a Consumer Reports recommendation) and pointed me in other directions. Being someone that does a lot of research before I make a purchase, I returned home and did more research on the sets I was looking for vs the ones the Fred's salesman recommended. I found a lot of consumer complaints about the set I was looking for, and a lot of good things about the sets he recommended. I opted to go with the set he recommended, which saved me about $1500 off what I had been shopping. The delivery people were prompt and polite and installed the set adequately. I have no complaints, and I will use them again.

Salesman was knowledgeable about the refrigerator that would work best in my unheated garage. I didn't realize that current models don't work properly in spaces that get below 32 degrees. With an adaptor, my Frigidaire is good to go and works excellently. Delivery and pick up of old refrigerator was on time. Fred's Appliance has been the first place I go to because I think it's important to support our local businesses.

Their repair people are great. The always come when they say they are going to come. They are upfront with the pricing. We have used them a few times they have been really good.

We had a good experience. I installed the microwave myself; but they brought the, stove out. We had shopped around and they were competitive. They were responsive; because, though it was on sale and they were willing to deal with it too. They delivered the equipments, on time.
Description of Work: We used Fred's Appliance; and, bought a new microwave and a stove about a month ago.
