Rants Plumbing responded quickly to my phone call for information about the service, made an appointment for service very shortly after the contact and performed the work in good fashion with timeliness and good pricing. Comes equipped with truck filled with supplies for most jobs and ready to fashion some custom-sized pieces on site.

They were honest, professional, efficient and pricing was very fair.

Our new home had a handful of plumbing issues which needed to be addressed. I found Rant's via AL and placed a call. The gentleman who fielded my call was polite and helpful. They came out the same day and were very punctual. The work performed fixed the majority of our issues. I suppose my only gripe is that there were a few loose ends that could have been resolved before they left. First, a drain in the mud room which was partially assembled before their visit (only the water trap was in place) was further dismantled (leaving nothing more than the drain stub in the wall) and left that way. I suspect they used this drain as means to snake the line. Second, they told my wife the slow draining in the kitchen sink is partially due to the trap being installed backwards. She asked him to do whatever it would take to remedy the situation. However, the trap is still installed backwards and the kitchen sink is still slow to drain.

They came on time, called me back, and came right away. I had no complaints at all. They explained everything and what they were doing and why.

They are courteous, friendly, and thorough and the guy on the phone said he will call to fix an appointment at 10 which he did. They were on time, were quick, and got the job done effectively. I was very pleased with them. The only thing that they forgot was to leave a bill for me and I wasn’t there to greet that as I had a surgery yesterday.

I TRIED TO DO THE JOB BUT THE DRAIN WAS CLOGED IN THE BASEMENT AND COUD NOT GET TO IT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 40 YRS I HAVE CALLED IN HELP TO FIX A PROBLEM WITH THE HOUSE.

They are a great family owned business. They are very friendly.

They called before arriving. Got right to work and found leak. Worked fast and cleaned up afterward. Also fixed some minor problems with the kitchen sink. Explained why our sinks don't drain efficiently. (It was due to design and nothing he could solve.)

John Rants was absolutely terrific to work with. He responded right away to our phone call requesting an estimate. He was quite accommodating of our need to have the estimate worked up two different ways as we weren't sure of the sequence or timing of two projects. Once we decided to move forward with the project there was still somewhat of a moving target (our doing) as far as timing and even how much of the finish work we would be doing ourselves. John just took it in stride. Despite the inclement weather, cold temperatures, and drafty work environment, John and his crew remained pleasant. They were all very cautious to ensure that dirt and mud from outside didn't make its way inside. The project was finished on time and on budget and all inspections went well. No remediation was required by the inspector (two inspections) and we were particularly impressed that the inspector had very complimentary comments about John Rant and his company. In addition to the work that was required by this project, John also took the initiative to repair a poor solder on a pipe that he encountered as well as a leaky hose bib discovered outside. Neither of these services appeared on the invoice. At one point after the day's work was completed, and knowing that he wouldn't be back until after the inspector had come and signed-off the work done, John left a tap on one of the newly created water stubs to provide us access to water for clean up etc. These kinds of helpful above-and-beyond actions made this a truly outstanding experience. I would highly recommend Rants Plumbing.
