Description of Work: Replaced Heat Pump; no idea how fair the price was, the other three, whom I called two to four times each, never got back to us. Well, one did a week or so after Right Now already had the unit in and working. Great response, competent people. No wonder they are growing and expanding across the area.

Dear Ms. [member name removed]; I do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you. I am disappointed to hear that we were unable to respond to your request. We were experiencing an extremely high call volume the week of July 14th due to the triple digit weather. We are human and mistakes are made. The information you have provided will help us to continue to improve on our systems and procedures so that we can minimize this occurrence in the future. Thank you for your input. Sincerely, Jeff Cox - Owner

Description of Work: I had a slow flow valve to my washing machine. Right Now came out, diagnosed the problem - a blockage- and took care of it. I had notice when the tech was coming and a follow up call to make certain everything was fine with the visit. Good value and good service.

Description of Work: They are very quick to respond. However, my furnace service last fall with a "free" hot water heater flush costs me over $1000 for a new hot water heater. The installer said he could find nothing wrong with the old one. No matter what I have called them for, they try to sell me something else. I've had them out over a half dozen times, but I no longer trust them. When I finally cancelled my contract, I got an apology letter, but the damage has been done.

Dear [member name removed], I’m sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with my company. We provided a water heater flush at your request November 1st, 2013 from a Deal Saver Coupon you had purchased on-line. You contacted our office on November 4th, 2013 stating that the water heater was leaking. We responded the same day and recommended replacement. You agreed and signed an agreement to replace. When water heater service is neglected and a tank flush is performed it can expose pen whole leaks in the tank. I do apologize for discovering a failing water, providing same day service and replacement, and potentially avoiding serious water damage to your home. Sincerely, Jeff Cox, Owner

Description of Work: Quote for furnace and AC. |They had the best price of the all. One neighbor had them do his and is very happy. |They applied a little too much pressure to close the deal for my tastes. So I chose to go with someone else.

Description of Work: This was sold as a clean and inspect furnace, flush hot water tank. It turned into the tech trying to convince me that there might be problems with my furnace and my hot water tank needed to be replaced. Neither were true. The tech scheduled a sales guy to come out later in the day. Price quotes for replacement Hot water tank, and a system to extend my hot water by %20 that turned out to be a water recirculation system were very high. They wanted $1200.00 for the recirculation system. I bought a pump, and 3 valves and installed it myself in about 2 hours. My total cost was about $300.00. |The tech was nice enough and appeared to know what he was doing. I canceled a later appointment to check my AC because I did not want someone to try to convince that I need a new AC system. I will not do business with them again.

Response from Right Now Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing
Dear [Member Name]; I am sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the services we provided you. On February 20th, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. our technician performed a 20 point inspection of your furnace and a water heater flush for $48. The first technician responding provided you a 20 point check list filled out in detail and signed by you explaining his findings during the tune-up procedure on your furnace. Out of the 20 point inspection three were highlighted. 1. Hot spots found on the ignition control module. 2. Draft inducer motor drawing high amps (indicating weakness in the motor windings with high probability of failure). 3. Noted condensation inside of flue vent pipe leaking into the internal workings of the furnace. It was also indicated that your water heater had severe discoloration in the water during the flush. On the service order provided by the technician and signed by you it states as work suggested; “Have a C.A. (comfort advisor or field supervisor) come out to talk about a new filter system for furnace and discuss water heater options. At your request we dispatched a senior technician to your residence same day at 5 p.m. The senior technician provided you a work order signed by you with quotes requested by you. Listed under work suggested 1. Quoted: An easy access filter rack for the filtering system for your furnace. 2. Quoted: An on demand hot water loop system which included in the price connecting and plumbing an existing water softener system. 3. Quoted: the replacement cost of a 50 gallon water heater and an option to convert to a tank less water heating system. Please visit our web site and review what we do during a system tune-up. We did everything we promise to do and that is to educate the homeowner on any necessary repairs for today and potential failures to prepare for in the near future. As a service provider it is important that we inform the homeowner of life expectancy of components on their system so that the homeowner can financially plan for the future. You are correct when stating that “it turned into the tech trying to convince me that there might be problems with my furnace”, There’s no question that you have major components failing on your furnace as noted on your inspection form. If I understand correctly that’s what you contacted us to do, an evaluation of your system. My Technician’s provided you accurate information about your system, quoted you options to improve on your existing system and quoted replacement options on your water heater. All were recommendations. Right Now Heating and Air provided two well trained technicians 2.5 hours analyzing your system and providing you options. All of this was provided for $48. If you are unable to see the value in the services provided I can only apologize. We support a 100% satisfaction guarantee, meaning if you’re not satisfied with my technician’s performance in any way we refund your money. Call our office at 585-5868 and request to speak to our customer advocate Greg and we will gladly refund your $48. If you wish to receive a copy of the two service orders and the 20 point inspection form outlining the details as discussed and signed by you we will be more than happy to provide you copies. Sincerely, Jeff Cox - Owner

Description of Work: We have a small north end home that's over 100 years old and as a result we have a pretty tight crawl space and somewhat small room for our furnace and water heater. We thought there was some ducting that was disconnected under the house and asked that they please make sure they take a look at that and reconnect it. We let them know about this so they didn't send someone who was 6' 5"and 300 lbs. My husband has crawled around in our crawl space, so an average sized guy could fit just fine. 2nd time they came to do the initial work: We purchased a new furnace, a/c, and water heater from them and they offered a free duct cleaning. The service men that initially came were about 19 years old, and although they initially were professional and courteous I could hear them talking like 19 year old boys downstairs. When they were done and my husband came home and saw the work they had done we had to call them to come back right away. 3rd time they came to fix their mistakes: They had kinked the gas line that runs to our bbq grill outside, and it was so tight that we were worried it would snap and start leaking gas into our basement. Also, when we asked them if they had actually gone into the crawl space to fix the potential disconnected duct work and they said no, so we asked them to do it at that time. Sure enough, the ducting was completely disconnected! $7000 worth of new equipment isn't going to work well if the ducting isn't even connected. Sheez! When they replaced the electronic thermostat, they just ripped the old one out (and therefor breaking it) and leaving a huge hole in the wall. If they knew how to do it right they could have done it without breaking the old thermostat. 4th time they came to fix their mistakes: After they left that time we noticed that the ducts were not clean at all, and if you shook the ducts in one area you could hear a large amount of dirt shaking around in there. Nice, guys! Also, the young guys had informed us that although they hooked up the duct work they didn't seal it. Then we realized our A/C wasn't working, and that was because the 19 year old kid had hooked it up and not an electrician (which I'm pretty sure is a no-no!) My husband fixed that one on his own. They sent a nice guy this time who fixed those problems. 5th visit was from the city inspector. She cited them with 4 infractions! Basically, she said that the system wouldn't work in the condition it was in. One of the infractions was because they had a condensation drain that was draining into the crawl space. Seriously?!!! At this point I waited for Right Now to contact me to schedule somebody to come fix all these problems but that never happened. I waited for a month and didn't hear from them, so we called to complain. 6th visit: They still didn't fix it right 7th visit: inspector came again 8th visit: The inspector demanded she be there when these guys were fixing the problems, and I think on the 8th visit they finally got it RIGHT NOW. Take home synopsis: Incompetent, and lazy, albeit nice employees. They need to work on their customer service team at the office as well. We never had one person we were dealing with, and it was frustrating that the next person who was calling us was clueless about our circumstances.
