Description of Work: Two electricians came out to replace two ceiling fans in my home. The installation went fine, but later I noticed that the porch light on my back patio and the electrical outlet on the wall below it didn't work. I didn't associate it with the fan installation, but last week I had another electrician out to fix the porch light and outlet. He traced it back to an exposed wire in the dining room ceiling fan installation, which had shorted the electrical line going to the patio. He also found that these installers had broken off one of the metal tabs on the metal box that holds the bolt that holds the fan in place. The installers had just pushed that bolt up into some insulation so it looked like it was in place, but it wasn't holding anything. The fan was being held by just one bolt. I don't like to give bad reviews to anyone, but this shoddy installation cost me an additional $175 from another electrician to fix.

Description of Work: The Electrician was early, and took care of my concerns and worries about some wiring a handyman had done in my garage. He had to redo all the wiring, bringing it all up to code, in only one hour.

Description of Work: After I bought the Angie's List Big Deal, I asked for a recommendation of a whole house surge protector that I wanted installed. I never got a response. I ended up buying a Leviton that was on sale at Home Depot. | |I also subsequently asked a variety of detailed questions regarding anticipated job lengths and other issues as I wanted to use the 3-hour Big Deal efficiently. I asked how long it would take to install a whole house surge protector. I asked how to test a kitchen dimmer switch and how long it would take to replace a kitchen dimmer light switch if it needed replacement. I asked how long it would take to install an outlet in a bathroom and whether a GFCI was required. I never got answers although Electric Experts did call to say they would come out, look at the jobs and list and give me an estimate. | |President David Green came out and was very pleasant. I showed him the Leviton whole house surge protector I had purchased and explained I wanted it installed. I showed him a kitchen dimmer light switch that had stopped working and explained I want it fixed/replaced if necessary. I showed him our Master Bath where I wanted an outlet installed near our Jacuzzi tub. He subsequently stated that the work could be done in three hours. | |Electrician Steve was supposed to be at the house at 9A on October 13, 2015. I called Electric Experts at 940A because he had not appeared. He arrived at 10A and explained that he had to go to two different places to get the replacement kitchen dimmer switch. | |Steve was very personable and appeared to be knowledgeable and experienced. He finished all three jobs in two hours and left at about Noon. Given that he had to travel to get the kitchen dimmer replacement switch and the cost thereof was included in the job, I feel I got my money's worth in the 3-hour Big Deal. | |Other than the irritation of not getting my submitted questions answered, I fell Electric Experts did a good job and I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Dave installed a 200A service panel in my new shop, along with a GFI outlet, & wired in a meter base on the back of the shop, so that my power company could hook their cable up to it. | |He did a good job, but the power company requested a larger meter base, which Dave came back out to put in, without any issues. I am pleased with his professionalism & his willingness to make sure that his work is perfect. He did an excellent job in getting me exactly what I wanted, and making sure that it was all done according to state code.

Description of Work: only one downside in the experience. Our apt was lost for 2 hrs. but they came right out after I called. Work fast and professional. Was at quoted price, not a less "depending on amount".Good, clean, prompt.

Description of Work: They hooked up my new hot tub. They came in under there estimate and did a great job. I will recommend this service provider and will use them in the future.
