I had changed internet providers to Qwest. I accidentally plugged a speakerwire into the back of the pc and it did something that I couldn't' fix-and I couldn't get any help from Qwest without a 60 minute phone wait. So I called Michael and he came out and got the pc started up. He also removed the Qwest Quick-Care Program that I didn't want. He's very work oriented and he does those little extras that others will charge you for.
Description of Work: He comes to my house and he really give me a good deal. Just figure in two hours from the time of his appointment, that way I am not frustrated when he doesn't show up on time. He is a very comfortable man, and I don't feel uncomfortable when I'm alone with him. He charges $50 an hour.

This member is a wonderful client. I work with my clients and listen to what they need. Sometimes the repair process length is unpredictable so it runs longer than quoted. I do however always call ahead of next client appointment time to let client know if the previous client repair is going longer than scheduled. I do my best not to leave a client without a fixed computer and this has cost me with occasional comments on punctuality. I always call to reschedule and most of the time the customer is OK with a later appointment on the same day. This is the norm for computer techs who complete the repair on site. Computer Techs who reschedule to come back later to finish the repair do end up being on time but lose the clients respect at times and sometimes lose the client altogether.

This is a pleasant, understanding man who works with your budget. He will do web research for any unusual problem.
Description of Work: Michael has repaired and upgraded the computers at our public library. For instance, the Board at Library wanted MySpace blocked (due to young kids posting themselves with home addresses, phones). It was not easy to do but he researched the problem until he found a way. So I had him do anti-spy/anti-virus software for my home computer and upgrade memory. He was patient with my lack of technical understanding. He also helped me select a newer used CPU and installed it. I recently could not figure out how to hook up the modem for my new ISP--he came over and installed it for nothing. He is one of the original good guys for sure! He charges $50hr.
