Adrian Rodriguez (Owner of Big Sky Heating and Air Conditioning) phoned before arriving to let me know he was on his way. Very Punctual. Personable-Professional-Knowledgable. Interviewed Client on location of Furnance and Air conditioning units. Was I having any issues with Heating or Cooling? I stated I was having an issue with the temperature in the far bedroom. He said he would take a look. My Furnance is an older unit. The Furnance requires some disassembly to replace Air filters (2). Several external panels and the Blower system need to be removed. Adrian was familiar with the particular model and associated filter requirements. He also was knowledgable about the heating concepts associated with this furnance model. I asked for a cost estimate to replace the Furnance and Adrian provided an estimate. Adrian carefully removed the necessary Furnance assemblies and components. Cleaned all the assemblies. Unit Air Filters were clogged with dust. Apparently previous owners did not maintain the Heating System. Replaced filter components. Re-assembled the Furnance. Retested the System. Inspected the Air Conditioning unit. Made several reccomendations to improve longevity by cutting the Garden back from the Cooling Unit. Adrian went into the crawl space to inspect the Heating and Cooling ductwork. Verified integrity of the Duct delivery System. The far Bedroom is now much warmer with the increased airflow due to "New" air filters on the Furnance unit. I believe Adrian provides a level of Service that exceeds what most Service providers deliver. Definately would use Big Sky again for HVAC maintenance or when I decide to move to a new HVAC unit..

Everything went better than I had anticipated, Adrian came out a couple days after I bought the coupon deal. He started promptly as I was a little late getting to him and by the time I got there, he had already cleaned out my A/C and tested everything outside. We went inside and he did a full blown furnace tune up and clean out job (which my unit was bad due to a remodel before I had moved in). He wanted to make sure everything was perfect, as he walked me through what he did and every step he was going to do, including what to listen and watch for in the future which helps me because I have no idea when it comes to HVAC. He also needed to get the proper furnace filter as the previous maintenance crew put in the wrong size, so he ran back to his office and returned with not just one but a second filter for me, which he didn?t have to do. Everything runs great now and I will be definitely using him in the future for all my needs.

Wonderful company. We have used him for years. He does the work quickly and he has specials on tune ups. He replaced my Mom's furnace and it was a major job, that he completed quickly. When our air conditioner needs to be replaced, which will be soon, we will hire him. I highly recommend him.

The experience was very professional. We remodel homes for a living and use many vendors Big Sky is now at the top of our list of providers.

It went pretty well. He just seemed uncomfortable with actually fixing it so went with another provider to do the fixing.

They gave me the name of another company that could come to my home to do the air duct cleaning, but that name did not show up on Angies List, which meant I could not check references, therefore I did not contact that company. It would be better if Angies List screened the companies to be sure they are able to do services in the zip code being requested.

They were able to schedule the services around my schedule and without having to wait weeks to have it done. Called prior to scheduled time to confirm that the time would still work for me and arrived on time. Performed all services in a timely manner. He was very friendly and knowledgable about the systems; cleaned up afterwards and ensured everything was operating correctly before leaving. He was very clean and professional. He notified me of a component on the furnace that would need replacing; he didn't just change it out without telling me and charging me for it. Excellent work, good pricing, and would recommend anytime.

Our furnance went out during January 2013, the coldest month I have seen since moving here five years ago. I was so upset I signed up for Angies List and quickly found Big Sky nearby. A couple of hours later the boss showed up, ran some tests, and told me what was needed. A large, very expensive part had gone bad in the 17 year old furnance. He made a few phone calls and learned that the part was still under warrantee and I would not have to pay for it. He got the furnance running again but told me it was just a temporary fix. He ordered the part which took four or five days to arrive, then he returned and fixed the furnace again. Things have been fine since. Thank heaven we had a wood burning stove that helped a lot while the furnace was off. This company helped me immediately, and it helped me a lot. Highly recommended.

We woke up to our heat running non stop, just blowing cold air. I called them from work at 8:00 and spoke to Adrian. He was willing to come out by 9:00. Unfortunately, being at work, we couldn't be home for that so he made some time at the end of his day for us. He came early and was very friendly. He answered any questions I had about our furnace and even explained what was happening and why it stopped working on us. While discussing the furnace we found out that it had been having some minor hiccups (my wife and I thought it was just part of normal operation). He diagnosed the problem and fixed it before he left. We were very pleased with the experience.

Our gas furnace had quite blowing heat about 10:30 pm. As it wasn't predicted to be too terribly cold that night we decided to crank up the electric blankets and wait until morning to call for repair. At 7:00 am the next morning, I left a message at a heating/ac business we had used in the past. I explained in my message that my mother is 82 yrs old, the house was pretty cold & that I would appreciate a call back as soon as possible. I hadn't heard anything by 8:30. Being a new member of Angie's List, I thought I'd give that a try. My first call was to Big Sky. Aaron answered immediately, said he was in our area and could be at Mom's house by 10:00am. He arrived a little after 9:00 am. He was extremely courteous, professional, friendly and explained the problem to my sister and mother and the solution. He also wanted us to be aware that because of the age of the furnace (20 years), we could be looking at problems down the road. But for now, all is well. We were extremely pleased with this service and with Aaron and will definitely call Big Sky again if we encounter problems. And....we had a $30 coupon from using Angie's List! Win Win Win! On a side note, I called the first company to cancel my request for service. I explained that I had found someone & wanted to cancel the request for repair. All she said was 'okay, thanks.' Didn't even ask my name! I have the feeling that we would still be freezing and waiting for a repairman 12 hours later had I not called someone else. Thank you, Aaron.

Adrian did a beautiful job. He arrived on time. He turned off everything that was necessary and turned it back on. He even vacuumed after he was finished. He did an excellent job. He came back to check the work he had done which I thought was very nice of him. He actually found something that he wanted to change at no fee.

I appreciated their concern, consideration and help.

We often have difficulty getting service companies to come to our rural location, but Big Sky never hesitated. Big Sky owner Adrian systematically analyzed what turned out to be multiple problems with our heating system, requiring replacing nearly all the equipment. His wife, Jennifer, kept us informed at every step. After each stage was finished, Jennifer waited to bill me until that phase was thoroughly tested and we all agreed it was successful. Each subsequent stage was only begun when we were certain it was necessary. One challenge was that the crawl space under the house was the smallest anyone had ever seen and the extensive ducting there had to be replaced and fastened to overhead joists. Few adults would have fit in the crawl space and fewer still would have survived the claustrophobia. Adrian?s assistant, Nicholas, endured 3 days in that environment and, because of his work, heat finally flowed to the entire house. We found the people at Big Sky to be knowledgeable and skilled. We especially appreciated their trustworthiness, open communication, friendliness, and concern for us. They really went the extra mile.

Everything went very well. When I made the original call they gave me an appointment for the day and time I preferred and were here at the appointed time. They were on time for both visits, left the area clean, and were very willing to explain and answer questions. We felt confident in their knowledge and found them to be very professional. We would definitely use them again if the need arises and feel confident in recommending them to others.

This is a small contractor with personalized service. I could not be more pleased with the service, price or product. I received four bids on the project, and Big Sky definitely provided the best value. I would use them again and would heartily recommend them to family and friends.

Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and he arrived on time (actually, as I recall, he got there early!). He recommended a replacement furnace, re-lit the pilot light for us, and sent us follow-up information about the replacement furnace in the mail a few days later. I was very satisfied with my experience.

Installed new air conditioning unit on a rental property. Big Sky made sure everything met current building codes. The job was done very professionally and the technician was always there when he said he would be. I should also add, the price was the best of three competitive bids. So I think I got the best of both worlds, a fair price and a professional install on my air conditioner. Also had Big Sky service the furnance in my home on Sept. 24, 2009. Same professionalism, arrived when they said the would, even fixed some wiring that controlled my Humidifier which had been incorrectly wired during the initial installtion.
