Installation went well. However when it came time to service the equipment, they would only come out once a year. They hung up on me, did not return my phone calls. Then after two years of coming annually, I was notified that I could purchase an annual maintenance contract with them for approximately $200 a year and they would come out twice a year and service the ac/furnace. It was not a change of policy or anything because my friends purchased the same system from them and they received service twice a year from the time of installation.

I had never used this company before so wasnt sure what to expect but am so happy! Zach M. was such a great tech. His knowledge helped educate me on this old system and I was so impressed with the time he took and the detail he did in cleaning and servicing the unit. Very professional but so pleasant to work with!

Doug was a great help, knowledgeable and efficient. He explained things clearly and seemed honest and trustworthy. He had a kind manner and smile and was very respectful. I would definitely recommend him.

Prompt and professional service by Dave and Travis, who showed up on time at 8AM about a week ago on 8/31/17. In particular, Dave dealt expertly with one installation problem: the Water Heater was installed backwards (probably by previous homeowner) and this necessitated extra work and another piece of installation (sorry, I'm drawing a blank on the specific part/ water heater situated next to Furnace). The 2 stage Furnace contains an easy to replace deep pleated media filter, which has a large surface area, thereby allowing more air to pass through it, and should be replaced only every 6-12 months. Travis drew the short straw and had to squeeze into the Crawl Space, and expertly handled the AC condenser unit installation. Both were timely in their work, explained the easy to operate system, and were professional in behavior, Since then, with high 90s weather, the AC unit has performed quietly and efficiently. They also installed a CO monitor and new thermostat. This AC condenser unit is much bigger than the previous system and should easily handle cooling the house. The 16 SEER rating is above the minimum required for Idaho, but I requested the higher SEER rating because it worked great in my previous house. Western Heating and AC offers 3 systems, and most customers probably choose the 2nd option, as I did, as it was the best combination of price and meeting my needs for my house. Warranty on parts is for 10 years.

Called Monday morning and had a tech by 1. Issue was a shorted wire. It was fixed and working within 30 minutes. Ended up signing up for their Spring and Fall programs to check out the systems going into spring and summer since I always mean to call but usually forget.

He called when he was on his way so I was expecting him when he arrived. He was very courteous and friendly, informed me of the service he intended to perform and went about his business. He explained what he did and recommended an upgrade to the filter system. I asked about duct cleaning, which he explained the procedure and benefits. I decided to do both the filter upgrade and the duct cleaning and he quoted me a price that included a discount for scheduling both together. I appreciate the extra work Todd did to get prepare the quote and schedule the job.

It went quite well. They were on time and professional. I had three different companies come out for estimates and Western looked the most competent and was in the same price range as the other companies. They even sent me a thank you gift two weeks after completing the service. This was completely unexpected and appreciated.

Mike sealed up the broken pipe and unplugged the other pipe. After he unplugged it, he noticed water was not coming out of the run off in the back yard which prompted him to check the crawl space. He found standing water down there due to a disconnected pipe which was a result of shoddy workmanship when the house was originally built. Mike was very thorough in his work and I appreciated his recommendations regarding the water in the crawl space. As a female, I appreciated how he explained everything he did and what was needed in future to maintain our heating and cooling system properly at minimal cost. This is the second time this company has left me deeply impressed with their level of professionalism and commitment to doing a good job. Their technicians behave in a manner that tells me that honesty and integrity is very important.

Mike came out and found the problem very quickly. He explained the problem and gave me several solutions to fix it. After I had chosen the solution I wanted, he fixed the problem quickly and went on his way. He was very professional, friendly and explained technical terms in a language I could understand.

I use Western exclusively and have been using them for years.

I am a first time homeowner and am cautious about getting ripped off. It took me three tries to work out the math in my head regarding the capacitor, but by the time I had, I could see that he was telling the truth. Especially since he let me see the readout firsthand. He did a lot of other small things I would never have thought to ask about, but he didn't turn up anything mysterious or needing expensive repairs or any repairs at all for that matter. He even got on the roof to make sure there wasn't a problem with the outdoor part of the system. He even offered to take photos or video if he found a problem. Thank goodness there wasn't anything wrong. I really appreciated that he wasn't impatient with my questions. The best part is, while I couldn't personally fix what was wrong with my system, I can now competently check for things like failed batteries, tripped ground fault outlets, and the like. It may save me from another frantic service call in the future. While I don't have much experience with the cost of HVAC repairs, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't cost nearly as much as I thought it would. Especially since in making sure that the problem with my system was the pump, he had to spend an extra 45 minutes eliminating any other possibilities. Brian also explained why the industry standard is to recommend annual maintenance, but at no time did I feel pressured to buy their particular plan. Western Heating and Air was recommended to me by several people. I'm glad they did.

They won't come out unless I pay $79. Not even to quote me for anew service.

The service technician (Sean B.) was there on time and was very friendly and professional. He got the work done quickly and efficiently. He discovered a low level of refrigerant and explained to us the possible causes of the problem, and our options for addressing it. His explanations were through and understandable, and gave us the pros and cons of each option. While he gave us a recommendation, he did not try to steer us into any particular option, he left it up to us. We are very satisfied. We have been with Western Heating for a number of years and they always treat us well.

It was excellent. Our furnace went out on during a week of below zero days. They installed the furnace in -6 degree weather. Upgraded from a 23 old furnace to high efficiency unit with wifi thermostat. New flue routing had to be done for the high efficiency upgrade, as well as new wiring for the thermostat. The furnace was done in one day, and when the snow/ice pack was able to be removed, the air conditioner was done in one short day. The technicians couldn't have been more polite and completely cleaned up after the work. It's a great unit and Jason Guinn was great to work with in selecting the right unit for us. He was also helpful in answering some operating efficiency questions after the install. We had received estimates from other companies as well a few months before, but needed to delay install at that time. Jason was by far the most professional and knowledgeable, and Western Heating had a great reputation, so when it was time to install we called Jason. Our long standing maintenance company lost our business, but we are getting better service now.

I really really like them. The do exceptional work, but they are more spendy than some. I love that their sales were not high pressure sales. I really liked that.

Today it went really well!! The technician, Brian, went above and beyond. He is so knowledgeable!! He was very thorough. He told me what he was doing and why and he gave me a suggestion how to live even more comfortably in my home. My mother and I are older adults and we've been having trouble with our sinuses this winter and last. He suggested we get a humidifier attached to the HVAC system. I am so excited to get that done and feel better!!

Technician, Brian McKinney, was very good about explaining the problems and showing me why it was a problem. He explained how my AC worked with my furnace and pointed out items that were not up to code. Also reviewed water heater and cost to replace.
