Founded in 1991, Ted Mason Signature Homes has been a mainstay in the Treasure Valley. Ted’s specialties are medium to smaller size homes and townhomes filled with high end quality and style. Ted Mason Signature Homes is a proud member of the Building Contractors Association of Southwest Idaho and Ted also serves on the board of directors. Ted Mason Signature Homes is a Registered Master Builder with the Idaho Building Contractors Association as well as a member of the Better Business Bureau. In 2007 Ted Mason Signature Homes was named a 2007 Integrity Counts honoree by the Better Business Bureau of Idaho. Each year, the Better Business Bureau honors local businesses that exemplify the highest level of trust, respect, integrity, fairness, business ethics and good citizenship We’re very pleased to be the recipients of two 1st place Awards from The BCA as part of the 2012 Parade of Homes. The first award category was in the Kitchen, and the second one for Exterior Design categories.

While the company is pleasant and seems dedicated to a quality product, their follow up after the sales is horrible. A year has nearly gone by with few items resolved. Repeated requests have been made. Promises given have not been followed. We have peeling garage floor paint, laughable sidewalk finish and many areas of interior and exterior paint that was either not completed or done poorly.

The home developed sever moisture intrustion and mold problems. After more than a year of efforts Mr. Mason would not honor his warranty, or even speak with us. We ended up having to spend more than $30,000 to resolve these problems, as did our 3 neighbors who also purchased the identical product from Mr. Mason. We had a mediation with the Better Business Bureau and Mr. Mason refused to answer my claims or offer any settlement. He, in fact, refused to say anything at all during the hour long mediation session. We are now embarking on arbitration with the American Arbitration Association in our continuing effort to force Mr. Mason to honor his warranty.
Description of Work: We purchased a home built by Ted Mason Signature Homes. The home included a 3 year warranty.
