I had met Angelina, just briefly, when I a bought a piece of her art. I liked her art and it spoke to me in many way so I contacted her and asked if she would be willing to design something for my music but told her I had a low to no budget. She got back with me right away and said she had done that type of work before and knew what I needed, which was good because I did not. I only had an idea of what I wanted. We settled on a price that was lower than what she usually charges because she understood my financial situation. I was impressed with that first of all. She wanted to meet in person to go over some ideas and when I told her that would be more difficult for me because I am in a wheelchair and I would prefer to do everything over the phone and over the internet she complied with no hesitation and made it as easy as could be for me. When we had our phone interview she had ideas she was ready to present to me but I told her I had an idea of what I wanted and I attempted to explain it to her. I am sure it was a poor explanation and I tried to draw it out on the computer with a program so I could send it to her before we had our telephone visit but I literally could not get anything to work out that did not look just like a stick figure and even the stick figure would not lay down so it would look the way I wanted it to. So, I was forced to try to explain it to her over the phone and she listened and was up front that it sounded more technical than what she would be able to do for the price that we agreed upon because what I wanted was some abnormal things based off of my own creativity. But, she asked more questions about what music meant to me and what kind of themes I wanted. I had sent her an example of my songs so she had listened to what type of music I did. She took all my information and said she would create something within the next few weeks. She was true to her word and had some things she wanted me to view to see if we were headed in the right direction. We set up another phone interview when I could be at my computer and she e-mailed me the mock ups. This took a lot of trust on her part because once I have them I technically could run with that and leave her hanging if I did not have integrity myself. So, she had to trust me. I was in such awe when I opened up the first mock up because there in high definition and living color was even more than I fantasized about. She incorporated my ideas and made it even better than I had hoped for. I fell in love right away with what she created but she did not just leave it at that she did extra work right there while we were on the phone to change some fonts and sizes and I ended up liking her suggestions even more than what she had already created. She already had me satisfied and she kept working with it until she liked the way it looked and I was very impressed with that. She gave a 110% of herself to my project and for not even that much money but it was her work and she took it seriously. I did not tell her ahead of time that I had OCD tendencies but her work satisfied all my need for having everything balanced with clean lines and edges and such lining up so her work was already that way to begin with, which was impressive as well. She was not so ingrained in her idea that she could not listen to my suggestions she thought it would be better with less sky in the picture but I liked the sky and the color and wanted it to stay and she was fine with that. Some artists get a little pushy and want everything their way, I saw none of that with her. Her main desire was to make sure that I was happy. Even after I paid her the final payment she was still concerned about my happiness and wanting to make sure that her product was to my liking when most people just pocket the money and don't think twice about it. Her dedication to quality and her creativity are amazing and she has integrity and professionalism. It is so rare that I come across people like that and especially for as little money as she got from me. She treated me as if I had her on retainer and that I was some millionaire that was going to keep giving her business even though she knows I am on a fixed income and probably can't afford much more than what I have done. It didn't matter to her because she has such a good work ethic that she was making sure that anything that was attached to her name was going to be top quality and it was. She incorporated all the things that really meant something to me spiritually and musically. I told her that what I explained to her was beautiful in my head when I was seeing it but after seeing what she had created for me mine was like a stick figure in comparison. She exceeded my expectations and created something I am so happy with and will enjoy looking at and having it associated with my own art (music) as well. She created something that looks like it would have taken at least a thousand dollars to create. She did not skimp on style, subject, color or anything even though she was not getting paid what she truly deserved to be paid. If anyone needs an artist that is proficient with many different types of styles and techniques and who is flexible and bends over backwards to make sure the customer is satisfied then Angelina is the artist for you. She is able to conceptualize your ideas and does the necessary work to understand where you are headed so there is no wasted time of miscommunication. She follows through on what she says, and sticks to the her quoted prices without trying to gouge you for more. She has integrity and is flowing with creativity, it's kind of contagious just from talking with her. I was very impressed that she did not just stop when I was satisfied she pushed the edges to see if I could not be even more satisfied and I was and was happy that she pushed me to that new level. She explained her reasons for wanting to try different things in ways that made sense to me. I could not be happier. I have never commissioned an art project before in my entire life, I am in my 40's so this was my first experience and I am beyond satisfied. If I ever win the lottery she is going to get a lot of work from me to create things I have always wanted but do not have the gift to create myself. If I ever did have the gift to create art I would hope it would be just like hers she is at the very top of the game and in my opinion she is a gem that is stashed away in this little corner of the world and the world does not even realize that one of the greats is out there waiting to amaze them. This is good for me right now because when that happens I am sure I will not be able to afford her anymore. But, in the meantime if you need something designed from a great artist that will add her flare to it then this is the artist for you. I am a hard person to please, and I had an idea of what I wanted in order to be pleased so I did not know what to think of before I opened up the mockups from the e-mail. I figured it would be similar to a rough draft with one of my songs but that a lot more work would need to be done for a finished product. But, I had no idea that my own ideas were so limited and I was pleased in a whole new way that I had not even anticipated. Even when I said I can't think of anything that could be better I just love this. She said well why don't you sit with it over the weekend and then let me know if there is anything else you want done to it. Like I said, just a real dedication to making sure that I was going to be totally happy, and guess what it worked. I am not spurred to action by much, but the highest level of integrity and professionalism does move me to action and that is why I am writing this review and putting my thoughts into action. Quality work and quality people need to be recognized and you are getting both with this artist. I wish her much success even though I know that means ultimately that she is going to be out of my price range but I will still be happy for her. If you don't believe me thats fine then just check out her artwork on her website it will take you all of two seconds to understand what I have been trying to say. This woman is uber talented. I feel like I just got someone with the talent of Davinci or VanGough to create some cover art for my music so Kudos to me for being in the right place at the right time and for finding the right person. And thank you Angelina for creating something I will value for years to come.
Description of Work: I needed some cover art designed for some music that I am recording and hope to upload to ITunes.
