Usually the previous 2 guys I’ve dealt with were great they’re friendly an willing to work with me. But today both my experiences with Liz I think she said her name was were so bad i never want to deal with her again. Started with her callin me this morning and mind you every other time the guys I’ve talked to were great but she was so rude to me I ended up goin her n in person hopein someone else was there unfortunately not. Not only was she consitantly rude throughout she refused to take my payment bc it wasn’t enough even though I previously agreegrd with last managers I talked to all she kept sayin was they should’ve done that. She made me feel so benth her and as though she was so Inconvenienced by any of my questions and when I asked for her bosses number or someone else to talk to all she said was she is the only manager the other previous people were only relief managers. I’ve never seen a place refuse to take money that’s owed to them. Like my payment wasn’t even worth her time. I don’t wanna deal with her so bad I’m goin to call everytime first before I go in to make sure I don’t have to deal with her or I’ll wait till another day. I hope you fix this problem before she pushes and bullies all of your buissness away

I chose this company because I could sign up online...not really, I still had to go in person before I could access my unit, which was problematic following a 12 hour trip and the expectation that I would be able to unload straight away. Then, at the end, I was charged a 5 day prorated fee for failure to inform them 5 days in advance of not needing the unit any longer. Anyone familiar with the real estate market in the Boise area knows that things change in a heartbeat, so I was under several deadlines. I know this wasn't their fault, but if customer service were in their interest at all, they could have offered a solution, besides charging me. I still need storage, for several things, but I will go elsewhere. I am very disappointed, and definitely do not recommend this company to anyone looking for storage in the Treasure Valley area.

The location manager was pleasant but was new enough that he wasn't certain of all the procedures. Their website clearly states that a renter can waive the insurance if the renter can provide proof of coverage through other policies. I made a copy of my homeowners' policy and brought it with me. Didn't matter - they charged me for insurance anyway and assessed a $20 administrative fee that I didn't find out about until after they processed the charge for the initial period. When I contacted the "upper management" person in Boise (David H), I pointed out two places on their web site which indicated the insurance could be waived. He got snotty with me, cancelled my contract and put one of their locks on my storage unit so that I couldn't get into it. I've contact an attorney and will be investigating a breach of contract claim.

I have had two or more units at this facility for years, and have been generally happy with it. The managers of the facility are friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, Stor-It corporate just announced a 37% increase in the monthly rental rate, following a more modest increase just two years ago. In my personal opinion, Stor-It corporate is now gouging its customers! There is no justification for such an increase. We will be divesting ourselves of as much as possible of the item we have stored, so we can abandon our units. Even if we have to keep a smaller unit, we will go to the expense of finding another storage facility (there are many options in the Boise/Meridian/Eagle area). If you are needing a storage unit, I would highly recommend that you check out other facilities before considering any of the Stor-It self storage facilities in the valley.

The best part about this place is the guy running the front desk. He is polite and helpful. He knows how the place works and can answer all your questions. Great customer service. I rented a storage unit for a year. The facility seem well maintained. Never had any roof leaking. There is a key code access to the storage area. Only once did someone tail me into the place and although I suggested he put in his own code, he refused. The one disappointment is that some of the storage unit doors have been adjusted so the door no longer sits flush at the bottom. Rain never entered, but during a dust storm a lot of dirt was blown in. It made quite a mess inside. I would recommend covering your items near the door with a blanket in case this happens. Otherwise, everything was safe and dry.
