Siding Pros Of Idaho

Worst workmanship I have ever seen. I have 45 years of construction experience, and this work wins hands down for the worst I have seen in my career. Siding Pros removed my condenser shunt switch and left it just laying on the ground, removed all my exterior lighting from my house and my meter box was ripped from the wall and refused to reinstall all my electrical back on my home. Had two doors installed and they couldn't figure out how to do the interior trim packages, so the front door was done improperly they just went over part of the existing interior trim and they just left the back door with no interior trim. The caulking jobs was horrid. Worst caulking job on the siding I have ever seen. The owners Brian and Ed will lie straight to your face. I don't think they can read a tape measure, and I don't think they own a level as my siding job is horrible. I had to fire this company and had five other contractors look at the mess that was left and all of them could not believe how unprofessional the quality of work was. My recommendation is STAY AWAY from this Company. Horrible Workmanship and Horrible People.

Siding Pros of Idaho was quick to respond. The work was done for the quoted price. The crew arrived on time and worked quickly. The crew was very polite and respectful. The work was top quality, in fact it was better than what I was expected. They even repaired some sections I said wasn't required. Basically they went above and beyond. Additionally, the owner was very easy to talk to and work with. Over all, I was very pleased.

It went very good, Greg Chapman did an outstanding job. Also Ed Lacey the owner also stopped to see if everything was done to a high standard.

I was shopping around for roofing bids and wanted to go through Siding Pros of Idaho because I had heard about their excellent customer service and great quality of work. I was very happy with how quickly they got me a bid and how friendly and professional the company was on the phone. We needed a roof for a home sale and our buyers went with another roofing company, but I would not hesitate to recommend Siding Pros of Idaho and I will be using them in the future for my siding/roofing needs.

The work was done in five days. The crew kept the site cleaned up each day.

Ed Lacey did a great job he went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations for our siding job. The installers were professional and courteous. The job was done sooner than expected and our home looks like new again! I would recommend Ed and Siding Pros of Idaho to anyone needing siding on there home.

First, I want to say Ed Lacey of Siding Pros of Idaho is a great guy: funny, smart, and a pro at what he does. He went the extra mile to make sure my new windows and French door were exactly to my specifications. I hired him as my siding installer because he is an expert at installing Hardie Board, not as a general contractor. We, both he and I, were very clear that I was not hiring a general contractor. My responsibilities, as were his, were very clear. And Hardie Board was the choice we made, knowing our environment here in Idaho. Ed was clearly the man to do it. Second, let's be real. I'm re-siding my house. It's going to be a construction zone. My gardeners stopped mowing. My housekeepers quit. My mailman refused to deliver my mail. Do I care? No. I have a fantastic new exterior with amazing views exactly to my specifications. He did exactly, and I mean exactly, what I asked him to do. He is forthright, honest, and kept me informed about both moving along more quickly and any delays. As with any endeavor, there is going to be manufacturing time. I wanted a very specific kind of French door (one that is not made in Idaho) and he was able to obtain and install it for me with a little delay and a bit more money above the contracted price. I'm in love with it. It is everything I wanted and then some. Everyone who walks into my construction zone oohs and aahs over the design, completely ignoring the drywall dust. It is perfection. Third, the exterior of my house, though as yet not painted, is extraordinary. His crews were amazing. Considering the heat (+106) and the sheer amount of crap they had to take off my 40+ year old house, I am still amazed at how clean my grounds are. Those boys went the extra mile to use minimum impact on my property. My specimen plants along the foundations are still intact and thriving. The thorn-less Boysenberries along my east wall, the ones salvaged with love and care from my beloved grandmother's garden 20 years ago, will bear fruit next year because of Ed's team. It's the little things with this guy, his guys, and his company, that spur me to write this review. How can I explain that next May, when I call my mother on her birthday, that we will be eating a Boysenberry in celebration? All because of Ed's boys taking care of us. Is there still work to be done? Yes. Am I comfortable with it? Yes. Do I think Ed is going to come through 100%? Yes. And eventually, all will be improved. Because I asked Ed Lacey to do the job. I don't think anyone else could have done it better. It just takes time and patience and a love for doing a job well done.

by the end of the project.....I am very sorry we ever met Ed Lacey. My wife can't stand him. I believe the only reason he is still in business is that he sells Hardie Board siding which is a good product. As for our experience, Ed turned out to be the kind of guy who is your best friend until you have signed the contract and then maybe have a question or a problem pops up. He is quick with an answer to questions concerning quality or procedure but I believe he makes it up as he goes along. If you try to pin him down he disappears. The siding crew did a average job...nothing exceptional. The roofers made a complete mess out of our yard and even the interior of the house. We ended up with a house full of black dust and grit after they removed the old roof....took my wife several days to clean it all up....Ed promised to 'make it right for us"...but he never did. The roofers broke one of the attic fans and also filled the bath and kitchen fan exhaust ducts with scraps of tar paper, nails and roofing. I had to take them all apart and clean them myself and repair all the damage as Ed was no where to be found. Part of the repaint was over unsealed brick facia which was supposed to be cleaned and primered before being repainted..neither of those things happened. I found Ed to have replaced a section of treated wood mud sill with white wood, in the long term that is not a good thing. I questioned this and he responded with a story of how it was Ok because it was bla bla bla. It turned out to be total a fabrication. Ed is the kind of guy who I think knows how to do it correctly but will short you if you are not watching....I believe that is actually worse than not knowing the right way to do something. As for our house it looks pretty good right now but I don't believe we received the service and quality we were promised or paid for. I believe the siding, paint and roofing will most likely fail before they should. I know that when I have a problem that Ed Lacey will not be of any help. So if you enter into a business relationship with Siding Pros you can't say you weren't warned. I think that all of his 100% reviews are either fabricated, possibly friends and family, or maybe just hand picked projects. I don't remember receiving an evaluation or survey for our work. Short story long I found Ed Lacey to be dishonest and lacking any professional ethics. If that's what you want...then he's your guy...

They provided a competitive bid in a timely and friendly manner. Upon hire, they arrived promptly when they were scheduled to install the siding and completed the project before the established deadline! The finished product looks beautiful!

I had a hard time communicating with them. I was finally able to get a hold of someone and schedule an appointment. I took time off work to be home for the appointment and no one showed up. I waited and called but no response. They did call back a day or two later to apologize. They came out at some point that week and provided an estimate a few days later. The price was higher than I expected and I was hesitant to work with them so I did not initiate a contract with them.

The process from start to finish went smoothly and on time.

It was about a 5 week project. Most of the work was completed in 4 weeks but there were small details to finish up and some touch up painting etc. to be done the last week. It was a huge project not without its problems. The owner, Ed Lacey, addressed all problems and took care of them. Nothing was left undone. The main siding guy, Whitie, was also very good. He kept the crew going. The siding looks fantastic. The painting crew was a little slow but the quality of their work was excellent as well. The window crew also did a very good job.
