REE-Construction/First General Idaho

Description of Work: We contacted REE Construction to repair damage to our house resulting from water getting under the house and the foundation sinking which caused cracking in the walls and ceiling and unlevel floors. REE Construction called in a structural engineer which we agreed to without asking what the charge would be for his services. The structural engineer spent 2 hours in our house and provided us with drawings and a bill for $1,372 which raised concern with us. I then asked REE to provide us with a detailed estimate for fixing our house. They provided a single page estimate which was such a large amount that our Banker required us to get 3 estimates to do the job before they would lend us the money to fix the house. The problem our banker had with REE's estimate was there was no detail given in the estimate on what they were going to do to fix problem. I asked REE to provide a detailed estimate and they told me that that was not their policy. The other two estimates we solicited from other companies in the area were detailed and provided good information on what needed to be done. With the help of our banker we selected a good contractor who did an excellent job for about 1/4th of what REE Construction bid.
