QUALITY ELECTRIC INC

I contacted Quality Electric to do an electrical inspection for us because we are a Certified Family Home. I explained what we needed over the phone and was quoted the price of $65.00 to have someone come to the house to do the inspection. We live within a short distance from the place of business. The electrician who inspected the house was nice; however, he did not know what to do to perform an electrical inspection. I gave him the criteria to use from a pervious inspection. There were about seven things to check. It took about twenty minutes. When I received the bill, there was an additional $65.00 charge for another employee, as well as a $15.00 fuel charge. These were never mentioned before I engaged their services. I called the company and the manager was very rude. He interrupted me, talked over me, would not listen, and did a lot of "mansplaining." He said that he had charged $65.00 for developing the form and writing the report. The report was about 100 words long, and he used the form that I had shown to the electrician while the electrician was at my home not knowing what he was supposed to be doing. The manager claimed that he had "developed" the form. He also claimed that the $15.00 fuel charge was standard for every customer. When I tried to ask why he had not mentioned it when I called and asked about their services, he had no satisfactory answer. In addition, both the form and the bill were late. When I called the electrician to ask where they were, he contacted the manager who claimed that he had sent them the previous week. When I received the report about three days later, it was postmarked the day I had called. The manager even misrepresented the date he had mailed the report. (I kept the envelope). I plan to report the company to the Better Business Bureau because I would never have hired Quality Electric if they had been straightforward about their excessive charges.
